本開示は、一般に、粒子治療システムにおける治療計画の決定に関する。
平板は、粒子ビームの経路内に、または経路の外に物理的に動かされる。例えば、図15に示されるように、平板116aは粒子ビームの経路内の位置と粒子ビームの経路外の位置との間を、矢印117の方向に沿って移動する。平板は、コンピュータ制御される。一般に、粒子ビームの経路内に動かされる平板の数は、照射ターゲットの走査が行われることとなる深さに対応する。例えば、照射ターゲットは、断面または深さ方向の層に分割可能であり、そのそれぞれは照射深さに対応する。飛程変調器の1つまたは複数の平板は、照射ターゲットのこれらの断面または深さ方向の層のそれぞれを照射するのに適したエネルギーを達成できるように、照射ターゲットへのビーム経路内へ、またはその外へ移動可能である。飛程変調器は、粒子ビームの経路内へ、またはその外へ移動する平板を除いて、照射ターゲットの一部(例えばその断面)の走査の間、粒子ビームに対して静止した状態でありうる。代替的に、図14及び15の飛程変調器は、少なくともその時間の一部において、粒子ビームの移動を追跡する飛程変調器と置き換えられてもよく、それによってより小さな平板の使用が可能になる。

Claims (26)
- 制御システムによって各段階が実行される方法であって、
前記方法が、
処置計画プロセスから、粒子ビームのパラメータ及び適応アパーチャの構成の異なる組合せを通して、放射線の線量分布を反復してシミュレートすることによって決定される情報を制御システムにおいて受け取る段階と、
