(*)米国公開特許2004/0082460号の実施例1に従って、平均粒子サイズがほぼ8〜10マイクロメートル程度になるようにリン酸ガラスIR吸収剤を粉砕し、ガラスセラミックIR吸収顔料を調製した(図1)。
色の一致したインクを得るため、IR吸収特性はないが、IR吸収顔料を同じ重量の炭酸カルシウムで置き換えた。

Claims (15)
- ポリマー有機バインダーと赤外線吸収材料とを含む彫刻鋼製金型印刷プロセス用インクであって、40℃での粘度が少なくとも3Pa・sを有する該インクにおいて、該赤外線吸収材料が遷移元素化合物を含み、かつその化合物の赤外線吸収が遷移元素原子類または遷移元素イオン類のd殻内の電子遷移の結果起こること、
該赤外線吸収材料が該インクの10重量%〜50重量%の範囲で存在し、かつ該赤外線吸収遷移元素原子類または遷移元素イオン類を10重量%以上の濃度で含有し、該赤外線吸収材料がNIR領域(700nm〜1,100nm)で吸収し、ここでこのCIE(1976)拡散反射明度(L*)が原粉末で測定した場合70より高く、1100nm〜2500nmのある領域で透明であること
を特徴とするインク。 - 該遷移元素が、Ti、V、Cr、Mn、Fe、Co、Ni、およびCuからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のインク。
- 該遷移元素が、Ti3+、VO2+、Cr5+、Fe2+、Ni2+、Co2+、およびCu2+からなるイオン群から選択されるイオンである、請求項1または2に記載のインク。
- 該IR吸収遷移元素イオン(単数または複数)を含む該赤外線吸収材料が、ガラスである、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のインク。
- 該IR吸収遷移元素イオン(単数または複数)を含む該赤外線吸収材料が、1種以上の陽イオンと1種以上の陰イオンからなる結晶化合物である、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のインク。
- 陰イオンが、リン酸イオン(PO4 3−)、リン酸水素イオン(HPO4 2−)、ピロリン酸イオン(P2O7 4−)、メタリン酸イオン(P3O9 3−)、ポリリン酸イオン、ケイ酸イオン(SiO4 4−)、縮合ポリケイ酸イオン、チタン酸イオン(TiO3 2−)、縮合ポリチタン酸イオン、バナジウム酸イオン(VO4 3−)、縮合ポリバナジウム酸イオン、モリブデン酸イオン(MoO4 2−)、縮合ポリバナジウム酸イオン、タングステン酸イオン(WO4 2−)、縮合ポリタングステン酸イオン、フッ化物イオン(F−)、酸化物イオン(O2−)、および水酸化物イオン(OH−)からなる群から選択される、請求項5に記載のインク。
- 該赤外線吸収材料が、フッ化銅(II)(CuF2)、水酸化フッ化銅(CuFOH)、水酸化銅(Cu(OH)2)、リン酸銅(Cu3(PO4)2・2H2O)、無水リン酸銅(Cu3(PO4)2)、塩基性リン酸銅(II)(Cu2PO4(OH)、燐銅鉱;Cu3(PO4)(OH)3、コルネ鉱;Cu5(PO4)3(OH)4、擬孔雀石;CuAl6(PO4)4(OH)8・5H2O、トルコ石)、ピロリン酸銅(II)(Cu2(P2O7)・3H2O)、無水ピロリン酸銅(II)(Cu2(P2O7))、メタリン酸銅(II)(Cu3(P3O9)2)、フッ化鉄(II)(FeF2・4H2O)、無水フッ化鉄(II)(FeF2)、リン酸鉄(II)(Fe3(PO4)2・8H2O、藍鉄鉱)、リン酸リチウム鉄(II)(LiFePO4、三燐石)、リン酸ナトリウム鉄(II)(NaFePO4、マリカイト)、ケイ酸鉄(II)(Fe2SiO4、鉄かんらん石;FeXMg2−XSiO4、かんらん石)、炭酸鉄(II)(FeCO3、鉄白雲石、菱鉄鉱)、リン酸ニッケル(II)(Ni3(PO4)2・8H2O)、メタリン酸チタン(III)(Ti(P3O9))、Ca2Fe(PO4)2・4H2O(アナパ石)、およびMgFe(PO4)F(ワグネライト)からなる化合物群から選択される、請求項5または6のいずれか1項に記載のインク。
- 追加のIR吸収剤を含むインクであって、該追加のIR吸収剤が有機化合物である、請求項1に記載のインク。
- 該追加のIR吸収剤が、該遷移金属に基づくIR吸収材料よりも狭いIR吸収ピークを示す、請求項8に記載のインク。
- 該遷移元素原子類または該遷移元素イオン類のd殻内の電子遷移の結果赤外線吸収が起こる遷移元素化合物を含む赤外線吸収材料、
ここで該赤外線吸収材料が該インクの10重量%〜50重量%の範囲で存在し、かつ該赤外線吸収遷移元素原子類または遷移元素イオン類を10重量%以上の濃度で含有し、該赤外線吸収材料がNIR領域(700nm〜1,100nm)で吸収し、ここでこのCIE(1976)拡散反射明度(L*)が原粉末で測定した場合70より高く、1100nm〜2500nmのある領域で透明である、赤外線吸収材料をさらなる任意選択材料と一緒にポリマー有機バインダーに組み込む工程を含んでなる、
請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の彫刻鋼製金型印刷用インクの製造プロセス。 - 機密文書を印刷するための、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の該彫刻鋼製金型印刷プロセス用インクの使用。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のIR吸収インクを担持していることを特徴とする機密文書。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のIR吸収インクを少なくとも2種担持し、これらのIR吸収インクがIR吸収レベルの点で異なることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の機密文書。
- 有機IR吸収剤を含む少なくとも1種の追加のIR吸収インクを担持している、請求項12または13に記載の機密文書。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のIR吸収インクを、彫刻鋼製金型印刷プロセスの方法を用いて該機密文書に適用する工程を含んでなる、請求項12または13に記載の機密文書の製造プロセス。
