Abstract

Campo
La presente divulgación se refiere a sistemas de calentamiento y detección para aplicaciones de flujo de fluido, por ejemplo, sistemas de escape de vehículos, tales como sistemas de tratamiento posterior y escape de diésel.
Antecedentes
Las afirmaciones en esta sección simplemente proporcionan información de antecedentes relacionada con la presente divulgación y pueden no constituir la técnica anterior.
La utilización de sensores físicos en aplicaciones de flujo de fluido transitorio tales como el sistema escape de un motor supone un desafío debido a condiciones de entorno duras tales como vibración y ciclación térmica. Un sensor de temperatura conocido incluye un sensor aislado con mineral dentro de un termopozo que después se suelda a una abrazadera de soporte, que retiene un elemento tubular. Desafortunadamente, este diseño tarda mucho tiempo en alcanzar la estabilidad y entornos con muchas vibraciones pueden dar como resultado daño a sensores físicos.
Los sensores físicos también presentan algo de incertidumbre de la temperatura de elemento resistivo real en muchas aplicaciones y, como resultado, con frecuencia se aplican grandes márgenes de seguridad en el diseño de potencia de calentador. Por consiguiente, los calentadores que se utilizan con sensores físicos generalmente proporcionan una densidad de vatios inferior, lo cual permite un riesgo inferior de dañar el calentador a costa de un mayor tamaño y coste de calentador (igual potencia de calentador extendida a lo largo de más área de superficie de elemento resistivo).
Además, la tecnología conocida utiliza un control de activado/desactivado o control de PID a partir de un sensor externo en un bucle de control térmico. Los sensores externos presentan retardos inherentes a partir de resistencias térmicas entre sus cables y salidas de sensor. Cualquier sensor externo aumenta la posibilidad de modos de fallo de componentes y establece limitaciones de cualquier montaje mecánico en el sistema global.
Una aplicación para calentadores en sistemas de flujo de fluido son los sistemas de escape de vehículos, que se acoplan a un motor de combustión interna para ayudar en la reducción de una liberación no deseada de diversos gases y otras emisiones contaminantes a la atmósfera. Estos sistemas de escape incluyen normalmente diversos dispositivos de tratamiento posterior, tales como filtros de partículas diésel (DPF), un convertidor catalítico, reducción catalítica selectiva (SCR), un catalizador de oxidación diésel (DOC), una trampa de NOx (LNT), un catalizador de exceso de amoniaco o reformadores, entre otros. El DPF, el convertidor catalítico y la SCR capturan monóxido de carbono (CO), óxidos de nitrógeno (NOx), materiales particulados (PM) e hidrocarburos sin quemar (HC) contenidos en los gases de escape. Los calentadores pueden activarse periódicamente o en un momento predeterminado para aumentar la temperatura de escape y activar los catalizadores y/o para quemar los materiales particulados o hidrocarburos sin quemar que se han capturado en el sistema de escape.
Los calentadores se instalan generalmente en tubos de escape o componentes tales como recipientes del sistema de escape. Los calentadores pueden incluir una pluralidad de elementos de calentamiento dentro del tubo de escape y normalmente se controlan con respecto a la misma temperatura objetivo para proporcionar la misma salida de calor. Sin embargo, normalmente se produce un gradiente de temperatura debido a condiciones de funcionamiento diferentes, tales como radiación de calor diferente a partir de elementos de calentamiento adyacentes, y gases de escape a temperatura diferente que fluyen por los elementos de calentamiento. Por ejemplo, los elementos de calentamiento aguas abajo presentan generalmente una temperatura superior a los elementos aguas arriba porque los elementos de calentamiento aguas abajo están expuestos a fluido que presenta una temperatura superior que se ha calentado mediante los elementos de calentamiento aguas arriba. Además, los elementos de calentamiento centrales reciben más radiación de calor a partir de elementos de calentamiento aguas arriba y aguas abajo adyacentes.
La vida útil del calentador depende de la vida útil del elemento de calentamiento que está en las condiciones de calentamiento más duras y que presentará fallos en primer lugar. Resulta difícil predecir la vida útil del calentador sin conocer qué elemento de calentamiento presentará fallos en primer lugar. Para mejorar la fiabilidad de todos los elementos de calentamiento, el calentador se diseña normalmente para hacerse funcionar con un factor de seguridad para evitar el fallo de cualquiera de los elementos de calentamiento. Por tanto, normalmente se hacen funcionar los elementos de calentamiento que están en las condiciones de calentamiento menos duras para generar una salida de calor que está muy por debajo de su salida térmica disponible máxima. Se conocen procedimientos de predicción de la temperatura de un elemento de calentamiento resistivo según el preámbulo de la reivindicación 1 a partir de los documentos FR 2963097 y US 2014/217087.
Sumario
La presente divulgación proporciona un procedimiento de predicción de la temperatura de un elemento de calentamiento resistivo según la reivindicación independiente 1. El procedimiento incluye obtener características de resistencia del elemento de calentamiento resistivo y compensar además variaciones en las características de resistencia a lo largo de una variedad regímenes de temperatura. Las características de resistencia del elemento de calentamiento resistivo pueden incluir inexactitudes en medidas de resistencia debidas a variaciones de resistencia inducidas por esfuerzo, variaciones de resistencia debidas a la tasa de enfriamiento, desplazamientos de la salida de potencia debidos a la exposición a la temperatura, relaciones de resistencia a la temperatura, relaciones de resistencia a la temperatura no monotónicas, errores de medida del sistema o combinaciones de los mismos. En una forma, las medidas a priori incluyen un desplazamiento de resistencia debido al tiempo, desplazamiento de resistencia debido a la exposición a la temperatura, temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo, histéresis en la resistencia, emisividad, tasa transitoria de calentamiento con respecto a la potencia aplicada, máximos locales de la característica de R-T, mínimos locales de la característica de R-T, tasa transitoria específica de calentamiento con respecto a la potencia aplicada, emisividad específica o combinaciones de los mismos. En otra forma, las medidas in situ incluyen por lo menos uno de entre flujo másico de fluido, temperatura de entrada de calentador, temperatura de salida de calentador, temperatura ambiente, temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo, temperatura de diversas masas en la proximidad del calentador, resistencia a máximos locales de la característica de R-T, resistencia a mínimos locales de la característica de R-T, resistencia a temperatura ambiente, resistencia a temperaturas de funcionamiento, corriente de fuga, potencia aplicada al calentador o combinaciones de los mismos.
La presente divulgación proporciona además un sistema de control para determinar y mantener la temperatura de un elemento de calentamiento resistivo de un sistema de calentamiento para calentar flujo de fluido que se hace funcionar según el procedimiento de cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 11. El sistema incluye por lo menos un elemento de calentamiento resistivo de dos cables y un controlador operativamente conectado al elemento de calentamiento resistivo de dos cables. El controlador obtiene medidas a partir del elemento de calentamiento resistivo de dos cables y puede hacerse funcionar para ajustar potencia al elemento de calentamiento resistivo cuando se comparan datos de sistema proporcionados con las medidas de elemento de calentamiento resistivo.
Áreas de aplicación adicionales resultarán evidentes a partir de la descripción proporcionada en la presente memoria. Debe entenderse que se pretende que la descripción y los ejemplos específicos sólo tengan fines de ilustración y no se pretende que limiten el alcance de la presente divulgación.

Descripción detallada
La siguiente descripción es simplemente de naturaleza a título de ejemplo y no se pretende de ninguna manera que limite la presente divulgación, su aplicación o utilizaciones. También debe entenderse que etapas dentro de un procedimiento pueden ejecutarse en un orden diferente sin alterar los principios de la presente divulgación.
En la presente divulgación, se utiliza información “a priorí’ (anteriormente conocida) e “in situ" (durante la utilización) para calibrar los elementos resistivos de un calentador de tal manera que los elementos resistivos pueden utilizarse como sensores de temperatura, así como elementos de calentamiento. En una forma, el sistema combina control de dos cables con control basado en un modelo para mejorar la vida útil de calentador y reducir las variaciones térmicas de elementos resistivos.
Los calentadores de dos cables emplean generalmente un material para el elemento de calentamiento resistivo con características de TCR (coeficiente de temperatura de resistencia) suficientes de tal manera que el elemento de calentamiento resistivo puede funcionar como calentador y como sensor de temperatura. Se dan a conocer ejemplos de tales calentadores de dos cables en las patentes estadounidenses n.os 5.280.422, 5.521.850 y 7.196.295, que son de titularidad conjunta con la presente solicitud. Los materiales de calentador de dos cables apropiados pueden incluir metales nobles, aleaciones de metales de platino, cobre, níquel, cromo, aleaciones de níquel-hierro, cobre, platino, níquel, aleaciones de níquel-cromo, níquel-silicona, materiales semiconductores tales como silicio, germanio, arseniuro de galio y derivados de los mismos. Estos materiales son simplemente a título de ejemplo y no deben interpretarse como limitativos del alcance de la presente divulgación.
Las características de resistencia de un elemento de calentamiento resistivo dado presentan inexactitudes debidas a variaciones de resistencia inducidas por esfuerzo, variaciones de resistencia debidas a la tasa de enfriamiento, desplazamientos de la salida a partir de exposición a la temperatura, relaciones de resistencia a la temperatura no monotónicas, errores de medida del sistema, entre otros.
Haciendo referencia a las figuras 1 a 3, se ilustran estas inexactitudes/variaciones, en las que se muestra la relación de resistencia a la temperatura (R-T) para múltiples utilizaciones de un material particular (cada una de las figuras 1 a 3 corresponde a un material diferente). Haciendo referencia a la figura 1, se utilizó un material que presentaba una relación no monotónica en la que un valor de resistencia particular corresponde a más de una temperatura. Por ejemplo, 29.5 ohmios corresponden a temperaturas tanto de 300°C como de 790°C. La figura 2 muestra una relación de resistencia a la temperatura que se ha desplazado de una utilización a otra. La figura 3 muestra comportamiento no monotónico en el que se logra la misma resistencia a tres temperaturas diferente y también muestra una relación de resistencia a la temperatura que se ha desplazado después de utilizarse a altas temperaturas. Dado que el beneficio de utilizar la resistencia para medir la temperatura es conocer con exactitud la temperatura de calentador sin la utilización de un sensor de temperatura independiente, los efectos ilustrativos mostrados en las figuras 1 a 3 hacen que un sistema de control de dos cables presente limitaciones significativas para muchos sistemas/aplicaciones.
En una forma, la presente divulgación proporciona un sistema que interpreta y calibra la relación de resistencia a la temperatura basándose en información a priori e in situ. La tabla 1 a continuación proporciona ejemplos de diversos tipos de información a priori e in situ que puede emplearse.

Por ejemplo, en la categoría a priori, las características generales son comportamientos que se presentan por sistemas de calentamiento mientras que las características únicas se aplican a componentes individuales o grupos de componentes. Para la categoría in situ, se aplican características de sistema a información que está disponible fuera del sistema de calentamiento y se aplican características de producto a información directamente relacionada con el sistema de calentamiento.
Haciendo de nuevo referencia a la figura 3, se ha mostrado en pruebas que las temperaturas a los máximos locales son estables durante acontecimientos de calentamiento rápido. La figura 4 muestra resultados experimentales de más de 180 ciclos hasta una temperatura de aproximadamente 900°C. (La temperatura se midió mediante un termopar interno en un calentador de tipo cartucho en este experimento). Pruebas adicionales han mostrado que después de un quemado breve, con calentamiento rápido, el máximo local normalmente permanece dentro de un intervalo de 15°C, aunque se exponga a temperaturas superiores que pueden dañar el calentador. La figura 3 ilustra un ejemplo de este comportamiento, aunque el valor de resistencia aumenta después de la exposición a altas temperaturas, la temperatura al máximo local no varía significativamente. Aunque el mínimo local parece variar más que el máximo local, el cambio aparente puede deberse al cambio global en la pendiente de la curva. La porción de la curva que rodea el mínimo local también puede ser útil para mejorar la interpretación y calibración de resistencia a la temperatura (R-T).
La figura 3 muestra tres (3) curvas de resistencia frente a temperatura para un elemento de calentamiento resistivo de 80 de níquel, 20 de cromo, dentro de un calentador de cartucho. Debido a la exposición a altas temperaturas de hasta 1200°C y superiores, la curva de resistencia se ha desplazado. La tabla en el gráfico también muestra que la resistencia a temperatura ambiente se ha desplazado con respecto a un valor inicial previo a la la exposición a la temperatura. Si son posibles medidas de resistencia más exactas, entonces puede utilizarse una combinación del desplazamiento al máximo local y el desplazamiento a otra temperatura como calibración in situ de dos puntos. La figura 5 muestra un ejemplo de cómo puede corregirse la curva desplazada utilizando valores de resistencia a 200°C y el máximo local. Una calibración de 2 puntos depende de la capacidad de conocer una segunda temperatura para el segundo punto de corrección. Esto puede requerir un sensor adicional o puede realizarse a temperatura ambiente. Este punto a temperatura ambiente puede tomarse de un enfriamiento o apagado previo del sistema. En sistemas de diésel, con frecuencia está disponible la temperatura de entrada de calentador y puede utilizarse para la corrección.
Por tanto, puede utilizarse una variedad de enfoques para interpretar y calibrar la característica de R-T, incluyendo, pero sin limitarse a:
1. puede utilizarse el máximo local como calibración in situ de un único punto para ajustar la característica de R-T basándose en el valor de R en ese punto;
2. puede utilizarse el máximo local más punto(s) de R-T adicional(es) como calibración in situ multipunto. Los puntos adicionales pueden ser R-T a temperatura ambiente o R a cualquier otra temperatura conocida. La figura 5 muestra un ejemplo utilizando datos a partir de la figura 3. Se utilizaron los valores de resistencia a 200°C y el máximo local para cambiar la ganancia de la característica de R-T y dio como resultado una calibración eficaz;
3. identificando el máximo o mínimo local mientras el elemento de calentamiento resistivo está calentándose o enfriándose, se permite que un sistema de calentamiento conozca qué porción de la característica de R-T no monotónica se aplica en un momento particular (dicho de otro modo, si un valor de R corresponde a múltiples temperaturas, puede utilizarse para determinar cuál se aplica);
4. puede utilizarse el máximo o mínimo local como entrada para modelado en estado estacionario o transitorio del sistema de calentamiento. Para un modelo que está estimando la temperatura del calentador, la capacidad de conocer el valor de R y/o la temperatura que se indica por el máximo o mínimo local calibrará el modelo;
5. puede combinarse el máximo o mínimo local con modelado térmico para lograr una calibración in situ multipunto. Por ejemplo, basándose en características de tasa transitoria de calentamiento a priori (o bien generales o bien únicas), junto con información de temperatura y flujo másico in situ, puede deducirse un segundo punto de R-T basándose en el modelo y un periodo de tiempo. Cuando se combina con información
de R-T de máximo o mínimo local, esto proporcionará una calibración multipunto;
6. puede utilizarse el enfoque basado en un modelo, utilizando información in situ de sistema tal como flujo másico, entrada de calentador y/o temperatura(s) y potencia aplicada al calentador, para calibrar la característica de R-T sin información de máximo o mínimo local. Además, puede utilizarse información de temperatura ambiente y/o información de temperatura de regiones que rodean al sistema de calentamiento para mejorar la calibración;
7. otra medida in situ que puede utilizarse para mejorar la calibración incluye medir la pendiente de la relación de resistencia a la temperatura cuando se expone a una entrada de potencia conocida. Información sobre la velocidad de flujo másico y la temperatura de entrada puede mejorar esta medida;
8. dado que la resistencia del conductor de calentador no cambia significativamente con temperaturas que están cerca del máximo o mínimo local, puede utilizarse detección virtual y determinación basada en modelo de temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo en combinación con medidas de resistencia física para proporcionar un mejor control cerca del máximo y mínimo local;
9. cualquier deriva/desplazamiento de la salida que pueden caracterizarse basándose en características de lote general o material puede utilizarse para mejorar la medida actualizando la calibración de R-T;
10. cuando se combinan con modelos térmicos de elemento de calentamiento de resistencia o funda de calentador (tal como se describió anteriormente), pueden emplearse procedimientos para identificar cambios en la curva de R-T en el tiempo, proporcionando información para la característica que va a actualizarse para compensar desplazamientos y permitir un control de temperatura mejorado;
11. la identificación de la pendiente y temperatura correspondiente del elemento de calentamiento resistivo puede permitir diferentes esquemas de control. Por ejemplo, puede emplearse un control de activadodesactivado en la porción de pendiente positiva de la figura 1 y control mediante potencia para la porción de pendiente negativa; y
12. debido a los desafíos Debido a los desafíos para realizar medidas de amperaje precisas en algunos sistemas alimentados por CA, la exactitud de medida puede no soportar una corrección in situ de dos puntos. La figura 6 muestra tres curvas de R-T para el mismo calentador. Puede haberse producido algo de desplazamiento, pero las principales diferencias entre las curvas se deben a correcciones de calibración dentro de los límites de medida del transductor de corriente. Esto muestra que, sin una medida precisa, puede que no pueda utilizarse un segundo punto de información. Incluso en este caso, puede identificarse el máximo local y utilizarse para al menos una corrección de un único punto. Por otro lado, si está disponible una exactitud de medida de resistencia suficiente, hay una ventaja en la utilización de dos (2) (o más) puntos de calibración in situ. Cuando se realiza una medida de resistencia, tanto las porciones frías de un circuito como las porciones calentadas contribuirán a la resistencia total. Las porciones frías pueden incluir pasadores de calentador de resistencia inferior, porciones del cableado de alimentación de potencia y porciones del circuito de medida. En el tiempo, las resistencias en estas porciones frías del circuito pueden desplazarse (por ejemplo, puede comenzar a oxidarse un punto de conexión y provocar un aumento en el circuito de resistencia. Dado que estos errores serán los mismos para 2 o más medidas a diferentes temperaturas de elemento de calentamiento resistivo, puede anularse el desplazamiento en las porciones frías del circuito;
13. la utilización de medios alternativos para determinar la temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo (tal como detección virtual y procedimientos basados en modelo tal como se expuso anteriormente) puede utilizarse para comparar con una medida de temperatura basada en la resistencia y tanto proporcionar capacidad de diagnóstico como mejorar la exactitud de la medida basada en la resistencia;
14. la medida de temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo permitirá la utilización de diferentes esquemas de control de calentador. Basándose en datos y curvas de fiabilidad de elemento de calentamiento resistivo, el control puede conmutar entre aumentar la vida útil del calentador y aumentar el rendimiento del calentador;
15. controlando directamente la temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo:
a. la utilización de la medida de temperatura promedio de elemento de calentamiento resistivo real puede reducir el retardo de respuesta de medidas a partir de impedancias de unión térmica entre el elemento de calentamiento resistivo y el sensor de medida. Esto permitirá una respuesta de control más rápida de un bucle de control térmico;
b. puede utilizarse la medida de temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo real para permitir que el elemento de calentamiento resistivo mantenga una temperatura constante con una cantidad reducida de desviaciones de temperatura, lo cual fomentará una vida útil de calentador más prolongada;
c. la medida de temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo permitirá controlar las temperaturas de calentador hasta un nivel más alto, independientemente del esquema de control, para permitir una respuesta térmica más rápida. Dado que se conoce la temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo, pueden reducirse los márgenes de diseño añadidos para compensar las variabilidades de fabricación y material, permitiendo hacer funcionar el elemento de calentamiento resistivo a temperaturas superiores. Temperaturas de funcionamiento superiores darán como resultado una respuesta térmica más rápida;
d. la medida de temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo puede utilizarse para reducir fallos mecánicos de sensores montados de manera externa en aplicaciones con muchas vibraciones.
Por consiguiente, calculando la temperatura del elemento de calentamiento resistivo y teniendo en cuenta las características de R-T tal como se expuso anteriormente, pueden reducirse los márgenes de seguridad, el calentador puede funcionar a temperaturas superiores, y tiempos de respuesta más rápidos para el calentador de tal manera que puede transferirse calor más rápidamente a un objetivo, tal como, a modo de ejemplo, los gases de escape de modo que un catalizador puede aumentar hasta su temperatura objetivo más rápidamente.
En una forma de la presente divulgación, se emplean algoritmos de control que utilizan ecuaciones diferenciales para el cambio de temperatura en el tiempo dT/dt). El sistema de control puede hacerse funcionar para medir la tensión y corriente y después calcular la potencia y resistencia en tiempo real para cada elemento anterior. En una forma, se utiliza un bus de comunicaciones J1939 para proporcionar flujo másico de escape a partir de un controlador de motor y temperatura de entrada de calentador (Tentrada) a partir de un sensor a un conmutador de potencia, por ejemplo, un conmutador de potencia de CC.
En una forma, puede calcularse un coeficiente de transferencia de calor por convección (hc) basándose en la geometría de calentador, flujo másico (m) y Tentrada, tal como se muestra a continuación para un ejemplo de geometría de calentador y por lo menos las siguientes ecuaciones o similares:

C = una primera constante basada en el número de Reynolds (Re) y la tabla 2 mostrada más adelante;
C2 = desviación basada en el número de elementos de calentador, cuando se evalúa el elemento 1, véase la tabla 2 más adelante, se utiliza Nl = 1; cuando se evalúan 6 elementos, Nl comienza en 0.7 y aumenta hasta 0.92 a medida que se analiza cada elemento;
D = diámetro de elemento de calentador;

hc = coeficiente de transferencia de calor por convección absoluto (Kelvin);
k = conductividad térmica del aire;
m = una segunda constante basada en el número de Reynolds (Re) y la tabla 2 mostrada más adelante; m = flujo másico;

míen = Velocidad de flujo másico de la entrada;
incombustible = Velocidad de flujo másico del combustible;

ReD = número de Reynolds para un diámetro y una velocidad dados;

Tsalida = temperatura de salida de calentador;
Tfunda = temperatura de funda;
p = viscosidad del aire;
Ventrada = velocidad del flujo de fluido en la entrada;
Vmáx = velocidad del flujo de fluido al máximo; y
wsm = vatios por metro cuadrado.

En otra forma, la conductividad térmica (k), o la difusividad térmica (a), de un aislante (un ejemplo de material puede incluir MgO) se calibra con respecto a una medida de resistencia de dos cables. Tal como se muestra en la figura 7, utilizando estas ecuaciones a modo de ejemplo y entradas de flujo másico, geometría de calentador y temperatura de entrada (Tentrada), la temperatura de funda modelada correspondía bien con la temperatura de funda real. Utilizando tales ecuaciones y enfoques, puede controlarse un sistema con respecto a una temperatura virtual sin la utilización de un sensor de temperatura real. Debe entenderse que puede modelarse una variedad de tipos y geometrías de calentador, junto con la utilización de ecuaciones que compensan efectos tales como radiación, entre una variedad de fluctuaciones de sistema, al tiempo que se permanece dentro del alcance de la presente divulgación.
En resumen, la detección virtual dada a conocer según las enseñanzas de la presente divulgación reduce el número de sensores físicos basándose en una interpretación y procesamiento basados en modelo de parámetros de sistema. En algunos casos, todavía puede utilizarse un sensor físico en el sistema térmico, sin embargo, el número total que puede desearse se reduce utilizando detección virtual. Además, la detección virtual mejora la capacidad de respuesta de señales de realimentación o parámetros utilizados para el control. Más específicamente, se utiliza un modelo del sistema para predecir la respuesta de sistema basándose en señales disponibles. Además, se mejora la exactitud de una temperatura en aplicaciones en las que es difícil obtener la
temperatura física.
Haciendo referencia a la figura 8, se muestra un sistema de control 10 que puede hacerse funcionar para obtener datos a partir de al menos un elemento de calentamiento resistivo de dos cables de un calentador a través de un controlador y ajustar potencia al calentador. El sistema de control 10 puede hacerse funcionar para determinar y mantener una temperatura de un elemento de calentamiento resistivo 22 de un sistema de calentamiento 20 para calentar flujo de fluido. El elemento de calentamiento resistivo 22 es un elemento de calentamiento resistivo de dos cables. El conjunto de calentamiento o sistema de calentamiento 20 incluye por lo menos un elemento de calentamiento resistivo 22 pero puede incluir una pluralidad de elementos 22 de calentamiento resistivos tal como se muestra en la figura 8. El sistema de calentamiento 20, y por tanto por lo menos un elemento de calentamiento resistivo 22, está operativamente conectado a un controlador 30. El controlador 30 está adaptado para obtener medidas a partir del por lo menos un elemento de calentamiento resistivo 22 de dos cables y ajustar la potencia al elemento de calentamiento cuando se comparan datos de sistema proporcionados con las medidas de elemento de calentamiento. Por tanto, el controlador 30 está en comunicación con una fuente 40 de potencia. Esto puede ser un módulo de control de motor (no mostrado) o un segundo controlador. La fuente 40 de potencia está operativamente conectada al sistema de calentamiento 20 para ajustar la potencia y por tanto la salida de calor de los elementos 22 de calentamiento resistivos.
Tal como se utiliza en la presente memoria, debe interpretarse que el término “modelo” significa una ecuación o conjunto de ecuaciones, una presentación den tabla de valores que representan el valor de un parámetro a diversas condiciones de funcionamiento, un algoritmo, un programa informático o un conjunto de instrucciones informáticas, un dispositivo de acondicionamiento de señales o cualquier otro dispositivo que modifica la variable controlada (por ejemplo, potencia al calentador) basándose en condiciones predichas/previstas/futuras, en el que la predicción/previsión se basa en una combinación de medidas a priori e in situ.
Por consiguiente, en la presente memoria se ha dado a conocer una variedad de diferentes formas de calentadores, sensores, sistemas de control y dispositivos y procedimientos relacionados para su utilización en sistemas de flujo de fluido. Muchas de las diferentes formas pueden combinarse entre sí y también pueden incluir características adicionales específicas a los datos, ecuaciones y configuraciones tal como se exponen en la presente memoria. Debe interpretarse que dichas variaciones se encuentran dentro del alcance de la presente divulgación.
La descripción de la divulgación es de naturaleza simplemente ejemplificativa y, por tanto, se pretende que las variaciones que no se alejen de la esencia de la divulgación estén dentro del alcance de la divulgación. Dichas variaciones no deben considerarse como una desviación del alcance de la divulgación.
Claims (26)
1. Procedimiento de predicción de la temperatura de un elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) en un sistema de calentamiento, comprendiendo el procedimiento obtener unas características de resistencia del elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) y compensar variaciones en las características de resistencia en un régimen de temperatura, caracterizado por que el procedimiento incluye asimismo interpretar y calibrar las características de resistencia basándose en medidas a priori, medidas in situ o, combinaciones de las mismas,
en el que las medidas a priori incluyen una relación de resistencia a la temperatura que es interpretada y calibrada utilizando un enfoque basado en un modelo y el sistema de calentamiento se ajusta cerca de por lo menos un mínimo local de una característica de R-T, por lo menos un máximo local de la característica de R-T, o combinaciones de los mismos.
2. Procedimiento según la reivindicación 1, en el que el elemento de calentamiento resistivo es una aleación de níquel y cromo.
3. Procedimiento según la reivindicación 1, en el que las características de resistencia del elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) incluyen inexactitudes en las medidas de resistencia debido a variaciones de resistencia inducidas por esfuerzo, variaciones de resistencia debidas a una tasa de enfriamiento, desplazamientos de la salida de potencia debidos a la exposición a la temperatura, relaciones de resistencia a la temperatura, relaciones de resistencia a la temperatura no monotónicas, errores de medida del sistema, o combinaciones de los mismos.
4. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que:
las medidas a priori comprenden un desplazamiento de resistencia debido al tiempo, un desplazamiento de resistencia debido a la exposición a la temperatura, una temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo, una histéresis en la resistencia, emisividad, tasa transitoria de calentamiento con respecto a la potencia aplicada, máximos locales de la característica de R-T, mínimos locales de la característica de R-T, tasa transitoria específica de calentamiento con respecto a la potencia aplicada, emisividad específica o combinaciones de los mismos; y
las medidas in situ comprenden por lo menos uno de entre flujo másico de fluido, temperatura de entrada de calentador, temperatura de salida de calentador, temperatura ambiente, temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo, temperatura de diversas masas en proximidad del calentador, resistencia a máximos locales de la característica de R-T, resistencia a mínimos locales de la característica de R-T, resistencia a temperatura ambiente, resistencia a temperaturas de funcionamiento, corriente de fuga, potencia aplicada al calentador, o combinaciones de los mismos.
5. Procedimiento según la reivindicación 4, en el que los cambios de resistencia a máximos locales de la característica de R-T y los cambios de resistencia a temperaturas de funcionamiento pueden funcionar como una calibración de resistencia in situ multipunto.
6. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo el máximo local de la característica de R-T como una calibración in situ de un único punto, y comprendiendo el procedimiento asimismo la etapa de ajustar la característica de R-T.
7. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo el máximo local de la característica de R-T y una pluralidad de medidas de resistencia a la temperatura, en el que el procedimiento comprende asimismo la etapa de determinar una calibración de resistencia a la temperatura in situ multipunto.
8. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo por lo menos uno de entre los máximos locales de la característica de R-T y los mínimos locales de la característica de R-T, o combinaciones de los mismos como una entrada para un modelado en estado estacionario del sistema de calentamiento, un modelado transitorio del sistema de calentamiento, o combinaciones de los mismos.
9. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada comparando los máximos locales de la característica de R-T y los mínimos locales de la característica de R-T, o combinaciones de los mismos, con un modelo térmico para una calibración in situ multipunto.
10. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo información de sistema de calentamiento in situ para calibrar
la característica de R-T sin el máximo local de la característica de R-T, el mínimo local de la característica de R-T, o combinaciones de los mismos.
11. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo una pendiente de la relación de resistencia a la temperatura cuando está expuesta a una entrada de potencia conocida.
12. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo desplazamientos en una salida del sistema de calentamiento.
13. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo o bien medidas de desplazamiento o bien medidas de deriva en una característica de lote de material.
14. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo un modelo térmico de resistencia para identificar cambios en una curva de resistencia a la temperatura en el tiempo.
15. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo una pendiente de la relación de resistencia a la temperatura y una temperatura correspondiente del elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22).
16. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo una pluralidad de medidas de tensión y amperaje.
17. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura es calibrada e interpretada obteniendo unas medidas de temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo y una curva de fiabilidad de elemento de calentamiento resistivo, unos datos de fiabilidad de elemento de calentamiento resistivo, o combinaciones de los mismos.
18. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la relación de resistencia a la temperatura se compara con una medida de temperatura basada en la resistencia proporcionando una capacidad de diagnóstico.
19. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que un modelo del sistema de calentamiento es calibrado e interpretado obteniendo los máximos locales de la característica de R-T, los mínimos locales de la característica de R-T, o combinaciones de los mismos; y
en el que el modelo del sistema de calentamiento comprende unos modelos transitorios del sistema de calentamiento y unos modelos in situ del sistema de calentamiento.
20. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que la temperatura de elemento de calentamiento resistivo se ajusta obteniendo una medida de temperatura promedio de elemento de calentamiento resistivo para reducir un retardo de respuesta de medida debido a una impedancia de unión térmica entre el elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) y un sensor de medida, y ajustando una respuesta de control de un bucle de control térmico.
21. Procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que un coeficiente de transferencia de calor por convección (hc) es determinado mediante unos parámetros determinados a partir de las características del sistema de calentamiento.
22. Sistema de control (10) para determinar y mantener una temperatura de un elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) de un sistema de calentamiento (20) para calentar un flujo de fluido que se hace funcionar de acuerdo con el procedimiento según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, caracterizado por que el sistema de control (10) comprende:
por lo menos un elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) de dos cables; y
un controlador (30) operativamente conectado a dicho por lo menos un elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) de dos cables, estando el controlador (30) adaptado para obtener unas medidas a partir de dicho por lo un elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) de dos cables y ajustar la potencia a dicho por lo menos un elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) de dos cables cuando se comparan los datos de sistema proporcionados con las medidas a partir de dicho por lo menos un elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) de dos cables.
23. Sistema de control (10) según la reivindicación 22, en el que una conductividad térmica (k) es calibrada con respecto a una medida de resistencia de dos cables permitiendo controlar el sistema de calentamiento (20) con
respecto a una temperatura virtual mediante un sensor de temperatura virtual sin un sensor de temperatura físico.
24. Sistema de control (10) según la reivindicación 22, en el que una difusividad térmica de aislante (a) es calibrada con respecto a una resistencia de dos cables permitiendo controlar el sistema de calentamiento (20) con respecto a una temperatura virtual mediante un sensor de temperatura virtual sin un sensor de temperatura físico.
25. Sistema de control (10) según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 22 a 24, en el que un modelo del sistema de calentamiento (20) permite la predicción de una respuesta de sistema de calentamiento basándose en una salida de sistema de calentamiento.
26. Sistema de control (10) según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 22 a 25, en el que dicho por lo menos un elemento de calentamiento resistivo (22) de dos cables es un elemento de calentamiento resistivo de níquel-cromo.
