技术领域
本发明涉及用于流体流动应用的加热和传感***,例如车辆排气***,例如柴油机废气和后处理***。
背景技术
本节中的陈述仅提供与本发明相关的背景信息,并且可能不构成现有技术。
物理传感器在诸如发动机的排气***的瞬态流体流动应用中的使用由于诸如振动和热循环的恶劣环境条件而具有挑战性。一种已知的温度传感器包括位于热电偶套管内的矿物绝缘传感器,然后将其焊接到支撑托架上,该支撑托架保持管状元件。遗憾的是,这种设计需要很长时间才能达到稳定性,高振动环境会导致物理传感器损坏。
在许多应用中,物理传感器还呈现实际电阻元件温度的一些不确定性,因此,在加热器功率的设计中经常应用大的安全裕度。因此,与物理传感器一起使用的加热器通常提供较低的功率密度,这允许较低的损坏加热器的风险,代价是更大的加热器尺寸和成本(相同的加热器功率分布在更多的电阻元件表面区域上)。
此外,已知技术使用来自热控制回路中的外部传感器的开/关控制或P I D控制。外部传感器的导线和传感器输出之间的热阻具有固有的延迟。任何外部传感器都会增加组件故障模式的可能性,并限制任何机械安装对整个***的限制。
用于流体流动***中的加热器的一种应用是车辆排气装置,其耦合到内燃发动机以帮助减少各种气体和其他污染物排放到大气中的不期望的释放。这些排气***通常包括各种后处理装置,例如柴油微粒过滤器(DPF),催化转化器,选择性催化还原(SCR),柴油氧化催化剂(DOC),贫NOx捕集器(LNT),氨逃逸催化剂,或改变者等。DPF,催化转化器和SCR捕获废气中包含的一氧化碳(CO),氮氧化物(NOx),颗粒物质(PMs)和未燃烧的碳氢化合物(HCs)。加热器可以周期性地或在预定时间被激活,以增加排气温度并激活催化剂和/或燃烧已经在排气***中捕获的颗粒物质或未燃烧的碳氢化合物。
加热器通常安装在排气管或诸如排气***的容器的部件中。加热器可以包括排气管内的多个加热元件,并且通常被控制到相同的目标温度以提供相同的热输出。然而,温度梯度通常由于不同的操作条件而发生,例如来自相邻加热元件的不同热辐射,以及流过加热元件的不同温度的废气。例如,下游加热元件通常具有比上游元件更高的温度,因为下游加热元件暴露于已经被上游加热元件加热的具有更高温度的流体。此外,中间加热元件从相邻的上游和下游加热元件接收更多的热辐射。
加热器的寿命取决于加热元件的寿命,该加热元件处于最恶劣的加热条件下并且首先会失效。在不知道哪个加热元件首先会失效的情况下很难预测加热器的寿命。为了提高所有加热元件的可靠性,加热器通常设计成以安全系数操作以减少和/或避免任何加热元件的故障。因此,通常操作处于较不苛刻的加热条件下的加热元件以产生远低于其最大可用热输出的热输出。
发明内容
在本发明中,装置用于加热的流体流中以用作感受器,即,用于:吸收来自加热元件的辐射能量,否则该辐射能量将被其他更高质量的***元件吸收;并将吸收的能量转移到被加热的流体流中。因此,通过在预热期间减少由高质量元件(例如流体流动***内的结构元件)吸收的辐射功率,可以提高温度增加的速率。在一种形式中,提供了一种用于承载流体流的导管,其包括至少一个壁,该壁限定导管的外边界并且构造成允许流体流过导管。至少一个加热元件定位在加热导管附近并且可操作用于加热流体流。感受器布置在加热器附近并且适于从至少一个加热元件吸收辐射能量并且抑制辐射能量被导管的至少一个壁吸收。
在另一种形式中,提供了一种柴油发动机排气***,其包括适于承载排气流体流动的导管。导管位于柴油机排气***的催化剂***的上游。柴油发动机排气***还包括至少一个加热元件,该加热元件靠近限定导管的至少一部分的外壁设置,并且感受器布置在导管内并适于从至少一个加热元件吸收辐射能并抑制被导管的外壁吸收的辐射能量。

具体实施方式
以下描述本质上仅是示例性的,并不旨在限制本发明,应用或用途。应该理解的是,在整个附图中,相应的附图标记表示相同或相应的部件和特征。
参照图1,示例性发动机***10通常包括柴油发动机12,交流发电机14(或一些应用中的发电机),涡轮增压器16和排气后处理***18。排气后处理***18设置在涡轮增压器16的下游用于处理在废气释放到大气之前,来自柴油发动机12的废气。排气后处理***18可包括一个或多个附加部件,装置或***,其可操作以进一步处理排气流体流以实现期望的结果。在如图1所示,排气后处理***18包括加热***20,柴油氧化催化剂(DOC)22,柴油微粒过滤装置(DPF)24和选择性催化还原装置(SCR)26。排气后处理***18还包括上游排气管道32,其中接收加热器组件28,中间排气管道34,其中设置有DOC 22和DPF 24,以及下游排气管道36,SCR 26设置在下游排气管道36中。

加热***20包括设置在DOC 22上游的加热器组件28,以及用于控制加热器组件28的操作的加热器控制模块30。加热器组件28可包括一个或多个加热器,其中每个加热器至少包括一个电阻加热元件。加热器组件28设置在排气流体流动通道内,以便在操作期间加热流体流动。加热器控制模块30通常包括适于接收来自加热器组件28的输入的控制装置。控制加热器组件28的操作的示例可包括将加热器组件“打开”和“关闭”,调节加热器组件28的功率。作为单个单元和/或调制功率以分离子组件,例如单个或一组电阻加热元件(如果可用),以及它们的组合。
在一种形式中,加热器控制模块30包括控制装置。控制装置与加热器组件28的至少一个加热器通讯。控制装置适于接收至少一个输入,包括但不限于排气流体流动,排气流体流动的质量速度,所述至少一个电加热器的上游的流动温度,所述至少一个电加热器下游的流动温度,输入到所述至少一个电加热器的功率,从所述加热***的物理特性导出的参数,以及它们的组合。加热器可以是适于加热排出流体的任何加热器。示例性加热器包括但不限于带式加热器,裸线电阻加热元件,电缆加热器,筒式加热器,分层加热器,条形加热器和管式加热器。
图1所示的DOC 22包括设置在加热器组件28下游的DOC 22。DOC 22用作催化剂以氧化废气中的一氧化碳和任何未燃烧的碳氢化合物。另外,DOC 22将一氧化氮(NO)转化为二氧化氮(NO2)。DPF 24设置在DOC 22的下游,以帮助从废气中去除柴油颗粒物质(PM)或烟灰。SCR 26设置在DPF 24的下游,并且借助于催化剂将氮氧化物(NOx)转化为氮气(N2)和水。尿素水溶液喷射器27设置在DPF 24的下游和SCR 26的上游,用于将尿素水溶液喷射到废气流中。当尿素水溶液用作SCR 26中的还原剂时,NOx被还原成N2,H2O和CO2
在图2A和2B中,示出了在流体流动应用中使用的一种形式的感受器,并且通常由附图标记200表示。如图所示,导管202包括定位在其中的感受器200,并且可以适应于流体流动***或排气***,例如关于图1所示的示例。导管202可操作用于承载流体流动,并且在该示例中包括锥形壁204,罐壁208和管壁206。感受器200设置在导管202内,更具体地,沿着锥形壁204罐壁208和管壁206限定导管202的外边界设置,并且构造成允许流体流过导管202。
如进一步所示,至少一个加热元件210定位在导管202附近以加热流体流动。应该理解的是,任何形式的加热器都可以与本发明的教导一起使用。与导管202相比,感受器200是如所示的相对薄壁的元件,使得它可以吸收否则将被锥壁204,罐壁208和管壁206吸收的辐射能量。在该示例性形式中,各种壁204,206和208具有较高的热质量并且不会将尽可能多的热量传递给流动,因为其一些热量将损失到外部环境,例如,通过对流或通过绝缘夹套传导。根据结构支撑件212的应用要求,感受器200可由锥壁204,罐壁208和管壁206支撑并与其间隔开。在另一种形式中,感受器200包括反射材料(未示出)适合于减少远离感受器的热传递。在又一种形式中,感受器200可以与导管202的壁204,206,208中的一个或全部隔离。
在另一种形式中,柴油发动机排气***包括导管202,导管202适于承载位于柴油机排气***的催化剂***上游的排气流体流。至少一个加热元件210设置在限定导管202的至少一部分的外壁附近。在这种形式中,感受器200布置在导管202内并且适于吸收由导管202外壁吸收的辐射能量。
在如图2A和2B所示的一种形式中,导管202包括多个加热元件210,用于加热流体流动。此外,多个加热元件210可以设置在加热器的下游,并且适于在一个或多个时间段期间增加加热器下游的流动温度。在另一种形式中,感受器200适于从至少一个加热元件210吸收辐射能量并且抑制辐射能量,该能量是被由感受器200吸收辐射能量的加热元件210相邻的至少一个加热元件210吸收的。
在另一种形式中,支撑构件212设置在至少一个加热元件210和暴露于流体流动的另一结构构件之间。例如,感受器200可以用作加热元件210的支撑结构。另外,感受器200用于抑制或防止辐射能量被导管的壁吸收,该导管容纳控制和切换硬件或在没有感受器200的情况下将吸收辐射能量的其他部件。
这种感受器200的优点通常更快并因此更有效地加热流体和任何下游部件。在排气加热***的一个示例性应用中,可以期望将废气后处理催化剂加热到温度的时间。通常,在***冷启动时,目前的催化剂在达到阈值温度之前无效。在达到该温度之前,后处理***在处理废气方面不那么有效(例如,用SCR催化剂除去NOx)。通过提高催化剂的温升速率,可以减少没有最佳功能的废气后处理***的发动机运行时间,根据本发明的教导通过使用感受器同样可以减少发动机和后处理***排放的污染总量。
感受器的替代形式示于图3至图7具有同心百叶窗230,径向叶片240(类似于压缩机级),周向翅片250,班轮260或螺旋构件270。应当理解,这些替代形式的感受器仅仅是示例性的并且是多种多样的根据本发明的教导,可以采用几何形状和材料来充当流体流加热应用中的感受器,以便提高加热速率。
作为示例,感受器的另外的变型可以包括通过使其侧面面向罐或管壁而不是反射材料或通过使面与导管的壁绝缘来提高感受器效率。这将有助于限制热量从感受器传递并通过罐壁进入环境空气,而是将热量传递回废气中。为了减少对周围组件/空气的热损失,感受器应适当地与罐壁和/或加热元件隔离。
另外,可以将感受器放置在罐壁和元件之间以允许更厚的金属板以获得更好的机械耐久性(如果热性能和结构稳健性之间的权衡是一个问题)。
此外,在其与罐壁之间具有绝缘材料的感受器可以减少对加热器外部的另一绝缘装置的需要。或者,感受器可以与绝缘涂层(未示出)配对以进行额外的隔热,特别是在非常寒冷的条件下。
因此,本文已经公开了各种不同形式的加热器,传感器,控制***以及相关的装置和方法,用于流体流动***。许多不同形式可以彼此组合,并且还可以包括本文所述的数据,等式和配置特有的附加特征。这些变化应被解释为落入本发明的范围内。

Claims (21)

1.一种用于承载流体流的导管,该导管包括:
至少一个壁限定导管的外边界并且构造成允许流体流过导管;
至少一个位于加热导管附近的加热元件可操作以加热流体流动;和
感受器布置在加热元件附近并且适于吸收来自至少一个加热元件的辐射能量并且抑制被导管的至少一个壁吸收的辐射能量。
2.根据权利要求1所述的导管,还包括多个加热元件,所述加热元件适于加热所述流体流。
3.根据权利要求2所述的导管,其中所述感受器适于抑制被相邻的加热元件吸收的辐射能量。
4.根据权利要求1所述的导管,其中所述感受器为至少一个加热元件提供支撑结构。
5.根据权利要求1所述的导管,其中所述感受器由支撑构件支撑并与所述导管的至少一个壁间隔开。
6.根据权利要求1所述的导管,其中所述感受器包括设置在所述导管的所述至少一个壁内的至少一个感受器壁,其中所述感受器壁比所述导管的所述至少一个壁的厚度薄。
7.根据权利要求1所述的导管,其中所述感受器包括反射材料,以减少远离所述感受器的辐射热传递。
8.根据权利要求1所述的导管,其中所述感受器与所述导管的所述至少一个壁隔离。
9.根据权利要求1所述的导管,其中所述感受器包括选自由同心百叶窗,径向叶片,周向翅片,班轮,螺旋构件及其组合组成的组的构造。
10.根据权利要求1所述的导管,还包括位于所述流体流和所述导管下游的第二加热元件。
11.根据权利要求10所述的导管,其中所述感受器布置在所述第二加热元件和所述至少一个加热元件之间。
12.一种柴油发动机排气***,具有权利要求1所述的导管,该***包括:导管适于承载排气流体流,导管位于柴油机排气***的催化剂***的上游;至少一个加热元件靠近外壁设置,限定导管的至少一部分;和
感受器布置在加热元件附近并且适于吸收来自至少一个加热元件的辐射能量并且抑制被导管的外壁吸收的辐射能量。
13.根据权利要求12所述的柴油发动机排气***,还包括多个加热元件,所述多个加热元件适于加热所述流体流。
14.根据权利要求12所述的柴油发动机排气***,其中所述感受器为所述至少一个加热元件提供支撑结构。
15.根据权利要求12所述的柴油发动机排气***,其中所述感受器包括选自由同心百叶窗,径向叶片,周向翅片,班轮,螺旋构件及其组合组成的组的构造。
16.根据权利要求12所述的柴油发动机排气***,其中所述感受器通过支撑构件与所述外壁间隔开。
17.根据权利要求12所述的柴油发动机排气***,其中,所述感受器包括反射材料,以减少远离所述感受器的辐射热传递。
18.根据权利要求12所述的柴油发动机排气***,其中所述感受器包括设置在所述导管的所述至少一个壁内的至少一个感受器壁,其中所述感受器壁比所述导管的所述至少一个壁的厚度薄。
