- 上記截頭円錐本体は、上記調整流体を、複数の運動量ベクトルに沿って上記急冷領域内に供給し、該截頭円錐本体が該調整流体を該急冷領域内に供給する角度は、調整可能であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の急冷チャンバ。
- 上記截頭円錐本体の温度を調整する冷却装置を更に備える請求項1記載の急冷チャンバ。
- 反応混合物を冷却して、該反応混合物から粒子を凝縮する凝縮装置において、
プラズマと前駆体物質から上記反応混合物を形成するプラズマ反応器と、
広い端部と、狭い端部と、該広い端部と該狭い端部間に形成された急冷領域とを有する截頭円錐本体を有する急冷チャンバと、
上記急冷領域の狭い端部におけるアウトレットに流体的に接続され、該狭い端部において吸気を発生し、上記急冷チャンバから冷却粒子混合気体を、該アウトレットを介して吸い出す吸気発生器とを備え、
上記急冷チャンバは、上記プラズマ反応器から、上記反応混合物が反応混合物インレットを介して上記急冷領域内に供給され、調整流体供給源から、調整流体が少なくとも1つの流体供給インレットを介して供給され、該調整流体を上記急冷領域に流し、
上記截頭円錐本体は、上記急冷領域に上記調整流体を流すことによって、該急冷領域内に乱流を生成して、該調整流体による上記反応混合物の冷却を促進し、上記冷却粒子混合気体を形成することを特徴する凝縮装置。 - 上記截頭円錐本体は、上記調整流体を、複数の運動量ベクトルに沿って上記急冷領域内に供給し、該複数の運動量ベクトルのうちの少なくとも2つは、互いの間に90度以上の角度を形成することを特徴とする請求項10記載の凝縮装置。
- 上記反応混合物インレットは、上記反応混合物を、第1の運動量ベクトルに沿って上記急冷領域内に供給し、上記截頭円錐本体は、上記調整流体を、第2の運動量ベクトルに沿って該急冷領域内に供給し、該第2の運動量ベクトルは、該第1の運動量ベクトルに対して、20度よりも大きい斜角を有することを特徴とする請求項10記載の凝縮装置。
- 上記アウトレットは、上記反応混合物インレットの中心から第1の距離だけ離れて配置され、上記截頭円錐本体は、該反応混合物インレットの縁から少なくとも第2の距離だけ離れて配置され、その間に間隙を形成し、該第1の距離は、該第2の距離よりも長いことを特徴とする請求項10記載の凝縮装置。
- 上記截頭円錐本体と上記反応混合物インレットとの相対的位置は、調整可能であり、これによって、上記第1の距離及び上記第2の距離は、調整可能であることを特徴とする請求項13記載の凝縮装置。
- 上記急冷領域に上記調整流体を供給することにより、少なくとも1000のレイノルズ数を有する流れを生成することを特徴とする請求項10記載の凝縮装置。
- 上記急冷領域の容積は、調整可能であることを特徴とする請求項10記載の凝縮装置。
- 上記截頭円錐本体は、上記調整流体を、複数の運動量ベクトルに沿って上記急冷領域内に供給し、該截頭円錐本体が該調整流体を該急冷領域内に供給する角度は、調整可能であることを特徴とする請求項10記載の凝縮装置。
- 上記截頭円錐本体の温度を調整する冷却装置を更に備える請求項10記載の凝縮装置。
- 上記急冷領域への上記調整流体の流速を調整する流体供給要素を更に備える請求項10記載の凝縮装置。
- 急冷チャンバ内で反応混合物を冷却する冷却方法において、
反応器から上記反応混合物を、反応混合物インレットを介して、截頭円錐面を有する上記急冷チャンバの一部内に形成され、広い端部及び狭い端部を有する截頭円錐形状を有する急冷領域に流し、該反応混合物の流れが、該広い端部から該狭い端部に向かう混合物運動量ベクトルを形成するステップと、
調整流体を、少なくとも1つの流体供給インレットを介して、上記急冷領域に流し、該急冷領域への該調整流体の流れが、該急冷領域内に乱流を形成するステップと、
上記調整流体と上記反応混合物を、上記急冷領域の乱流内で混合して、該調整流体によって該反応混合物を急冷して、流体に飛沫同伴された複数の粒子を含む冷却粒子混合気体を形成するステップと、
上記冷却粒子混合気体を、上記急冷領域の狭い端部におけるアウトレットから流すステップとを有する冷却方法。 - 上記調整流体を、少なくとも1つの流体供給インレットを介して、上記急冷領域に流すことによって生ずる流れは、上記広い端部から上記狭い端部に向かう複数の調整運動量ベクトルに沿って生ずることを特徴とする請求項20記載の冷却方法。
- 上記複数の調整運動量ベクトルのうちの少なくとも2つは、互いの間に90度以上の角度を形成することを特徴とする請求項20記載の冷却方法。
- 上記複数の調整運動量ベクトルのうちの少なくとも1つは、上記混合物運動量ベクトルに対して、20度よりも大きい斜角を有することを特徴とする請求項20記載の冷却方法。
- 上記アウトレットは、上記反応混合物インレットの中心から第1の距離だけ離れて配置され、上記截頭円錐面は、該反応混合物インレットの縁から少なくとも第2の距離だけ離れて配置され、その間に間隙を形成し、該第1の距離は、該第2の距離よりも長いことを特徴とする請求項20記載の冷却方法。
- 上記截頭円錐面と上記反応混合物インレットとの相対的位置を調整して、上記第1の距離及び上記第2の距離を調整するステップを更に有する請求項24記載の冷却方法。
- 上記急冷領域内の乱流は、少なくとも1000のレイノルズ数を有することを特徴する請求項20記載の冷却方法。
- 上記急冷領域の容積を調整するステップを更に有する請求項20記載の冷却方法。
- 上記複数の調整運動量ベクトルのうちの少なくとも1つの角度を調整するステップを更に有する請求項20記載の冷却方法。
- 上記截頭円錐面の温度を調整するステップを更に有する請求項20記載の冷却方法。
- 上記急冷領域への上記調整流体の流速を調整するステップを更に有する請求項20記載の冷却方法。
- 上記調整流体は、不活性ガスであることを特徴とする請求項20記載の冷却方法。
- 上記調整流体は、アルゴンであることを特徴とする請求項31記載の冷却方法。
- 上記反応器から反応混合物を急冷領域に流すステップの前に、該反応混合物を該反応器内で生成するステップを有し、
上記反応混合物を生成するステップは、
上記反応器内に処理ガスを流すステップと、
上記処理ガスにエネルギを供給して、プラズマを形成するステップと、
上記反応器内に前駆体物質を流すステップと、
上記反応器内で上記前駆体物質に上記プラズマを作用させて、上記反応混合物を形成するステップとを有することを特徴とする請求項20記載の冷却方法。
