436,972. Frying - apparatus; hollowware. WILKINSON, A. E., and ACME ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., Stocks Hill, Holbeck, Leeds. May 8, 1934, No. 13838. [Class 126] In heating-apparatus for fish frying and like cooking-pans a jacket is provided forming a closed chamber around the pan to which the gases have access through apertures J<1> in its base, an outlet being provided to the flue F on one side only. In the form shown the jacket extends round the lower part only of the pan, and the gases are directed by guide plates D <1> to the apertures J<1>. Transversely-extending baffles may be provided in the jacket, and heat-absorbing studs p<2> may be provided on the base of the pan. The heating-burner is arranged in a closed combustion chamber to which a controlled supply of secondary air is admitted.
