Gas cooking-stoves; ovens.-A gas cooking- - stove is constructed so that all secondary air is excluded and the only outlet connects to another oven, while the burner is one requiring no secondary air. The oven comprises front and back frames h, n connected at the top by brackets p and at the lower end by the oven bottom j. Plates s of metal, asbestos, or slate are dropped into the frames h, n to form the back and sides of the oven and the space u between the plates s and an inner lining f is filled with non-conducting material. The removable burner c, which has flanges pl adapted to fit into recesses in the bottom plate j or in the side walls, is of the kind which burns without secondary air and comprises a mixing chamber mc, distributing chamber dc and an adjustable cap ac arranged to provide an orifice sl for the combustible mixture. The products of combustion escape from the oven at d and pass along the space between the oven top k and the outer plate w to an outlet l communicating with another oven. The back of the oven may be so - shaped that the burner is protected from dropping fat &c. or a plate, hinged to the oven back, may be provided for this purpose.
