Abstract

Internally-fired boilers; geysers.-A liquid heater is constructed with a plurality of superposed similar separable sections, their outer walls each constituting a part of the outer wall of the heater and each section comprising an annular liquid receptacle and a baffle plate supported above the central aperture of the section. The liquid may be kept separate from the heating gases as shown or may be in contact with them, and the baffles may be liquid-holding. In the example shown separable annular sections 110 each support a liquid-holding baffle 150 above a central aperture 13.
