Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf disperse Monoazofarbstoffe,
die zum Färben von synthetischen Textilmaterialien verwendet
werden können.
Gemäß der Erfindung werden wasserunlösliche Monoazofarbstoffe vorgeschlagen, die frei von Suifonsäure- und Carbonsäuregruppen
sind und die die Formel

In dieser Beschreibung beziehen sich die Ausdrücke "Niedrigalkyl"und
"Niedrigalkoxy" auf Alkyl- bsw. Alkoiyradikale, die 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatome enthalten.
Beispiele für Niedrigalkylradikale, die durch Y und X dargestellt
werden, sind Methyl, Äthyl, n-Propyl und n-Butyl.

Beispiele für substituierte Phenylradikale, die durch Y und Z
dargestellt werden, sind Tolyl, Ch.loroph.enyl, Mtrophenyl und
ITitrotolyl. Beispiele für gegebenenfalls substituierte Niedrigalkoxycarbony!radikale,
die durch Z dargestellt werden, sind Kethoxyearbonyl und Äthoxycarbonyl, Hydroxyniedrigalkoxycarbonyl,
wie z.B. ß-Hydroxyäthyloxycarbonyl, Cyanoniedrigalkyl,
wie z.B. ß-Cyanoäthoxycarbonyl, und Niedrigalkoxyniearigalkoxycarbonyl,
wie z.B. ß-Methoxyäthoxycarbonyl. Die Carbonänidogruppen, die durch Z dargestellt werden, besitzen

Beispiele für gegebenenfalls substituierte Niedrig'alkylradikale,

Beispiele für gegebenenfalls substituierte Niedrigalkoxyradikale, die durch T dargestellt werden, sind

Benzolrinfc in p-Stellung zu W gebunden ist, und daß T für
Wasserstoff, liiedrigalkyl oder Niedrigalkoxy steht.

Beispiele für Radikale, die durch. X dargestellt werden, sind
Alkyl, insbesondere Niedrigalkyl, wie z.B. Methyl, Äthyl, Propyl und Butyl, Hydroxyniedrigalkyl,-wie z.B. ß-Hydroxyäthyl,

oder 6-gliedrige stickstoffhaltige heterocyclische Ringe, die

Pyrrolidin-r.-jHorpholin- und Piperidinringe.
Gemäß der Erfindung wird weiterhin ein Verfahren zur Herstellung
der oben definierten Azofarbstoffe vorgeschlagen, welches dadurch ausgeführt wird, daß man ein Amin der Pormel

kuppelt, worin Y, Z, W, T, R und R die o"ben angegebenen
Bedeutungen "besitzen und wobei das Amin und die Kupplungskomponente
frei von Carbonsäure- und SuIfonsäuregruppen sind.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren kann in zweckmäßiger Weise dadurch ausgeführt werden, daß man natriumnitrat zu einer Lösung
oder Dispersion des Amins in einer starken anorganischen Säure oder einer wäßrigen Lösung derselben zugibt, oder da3
man "vorzugsweise das Amin mit Nitrosylschwefelsäure rührt;,
und daß man die erhaltene Lösung oder Dispersion der Diazokomponente
zu einer Lösung der Kupplungskomponente in "Wasser oder in einer Mischung aus Wasser und einer, mit Wasser mischbaren
organischen Flüssigkeit zugibt, wobei man nötigenfalls den pH des Gemischs einstellt, um die Kupplungsreaktion zu
erleichtern, worauf man schließlich den erhaltenen farbstoff durch übliche Maßnahmen isoliert.
Die Amine der Formel I können ihrerseits durch herkömmliche
Verfahren erhalten werden, die zur Herstellung von Thiophenderivaten
verwendet werden. So kann beispielsweise ein 2~ialogenthiophen-nitriert
und das Halogenatom in der 2-S-tellung dann durch Behandlung mit Ammoniak in eine Aminogruppe übergeführt
werden. Alternativ können 2-Aminothiophene, die Elektronen
abziehende Gruppen enthalten, durch übliche Verfahren aus Verbindungen hergestellt werden, die durch die Verfahren erhalten
werden, die in Chemische Berichte, Band 98, Seite 3571 (1965) und Band 99, Seite 94 (1966) beschrieben sind.

Spezielle Beispiele für Amine der Formel I sind 2-Amino-3,5-dinitrotaiophen,
2-Amino--3,4-,5-trinitrothiophen, und 2-Araino-3-nitro-5-(carbonamido-,
cyano- oder methoxycarbonyl)thiophen Das bevorzugte Amin ist 2-Amino-3,5-dinitrothiophen.
Spezielle Beispiele für Kupplungskomponenten sind N,2T-Diäthylm-aminoacetanilid,
N,N-Di(ß-acetoxyäthyl)-m-asiinoacetanilid,
2-Methoxy~5-(formylamino- oder -acetylamino)-N~/'ß-(ßI~methoxyät&oxycarbonyl)
äthyl/anilin, m-N ,N-Diäthylamino-ß-chloropropionanilid
und ΐη-Ιί,Ιί-Di-ri-butylformanilid.
Eine bevorzugte Klasse von erfindungsgemäßen Farbstoffen sind
die Farbstoffe, worin Y für Wasserstoff und Z für Nitro steht.
Eine zweite bevorzugte Klasse von erfindungsgemäßen Farbstoffen umfaßt die Farbstoffe der Formel
worin R , a , T , X und X die oben angegebenen Bedeutungen
besitzen.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Farbstoffe können zum.Färben von synthetischen
Textilinaterialien verwendet werden, und zwar insbesondere sum Färben von sekundären Celluloseacetat- und Cellulosetriacetattextilmaterialien,
Polyamidtextilmaterialien,
wie z.B. PoLyhexamethylenadipamidtextilmaterialien, und vor

allem aromatischaiPolyestertextilmaterialien, wie z.B. PoIyäthylenterephthalattextilmaterialien.
Solche Materialien können die Form von Fäden, "Fasern oder gewebten oder gestrickten
Materialien aufweisen..
Die genannten Azofarbstoffe können auf die synthetischen Textilmaterialien
durch Verfahren aufgebracht werden, die üblicherweise zum Aufbringen von dispersen Farbstoffen auf solche
Textilmaterialien verwendet werden. Die Farbstoffe können in Form von wäßrigen Dispersionen durch Färben, Klotzen oder
Drucken unter Verwendung der Bedingungen und anderer Zusätze aufgebracht werden, die üblicherweise bei der Durchführung
solcher Verfahren verwendet-werden. Alternativ können die Farbstoffe
auf synthetische Textilmaterialien durch LÖsungssittelfärbeverfahren
aufgebracht werden, beispielsweise durch Aufbringen einer Lösung oder Dispersion des Farbstoffs in Perchloroäthylen,
das gegebenenfalls eine kleinere Menge Wasser enthält, auf das Textilmaterial, und zwar vorzugsweise bei
einer erhöhten Temperatur. Die Farbstoffe können auch zum Färben von synthetischen Polymeren durch Schmelzfärbung verwendet
werden, beispielsweise unter Verwendung von Späteinspritztechniken, worauf dann die Schmelze der gefärbten
Polymere in Fasern oder Fäden versponnen wird. Alternativ können die Farbstoffe auf synthetische Textilmaterialien durch
Übertragungsdruckfärbung aufgebracht werden.
Venn die erfindungsgemäßen Azofarbstoffe auf synthetische
Textilmaterialien aufgebracht werden, dann ergeben sie violette bis grüne Färbungen, die eine vorzügliche Echtheit gegenüber
licht und naße und trockene Wärmebehandlungen besitzen, und zwar sowohl vor als auch nach einer Thermofixierung. Die Farbstoffe
besitzen auch eine hohe Färbekraft, erschöpfen gut und haben vorzügliche Färbe-, Egalisierungs-Temperaturbereichs-
und -aufbaueigenschaften auf-synthetischen Textilmaterialien,

insbesondere auf aromatischen Polyestertextilmaterialien,
so daß tiefe Farbtöne leicht erhalten werden können.
Die Erfindung wird durch die folgenden Beispiele näher erläutert,
worin die Teile und Proζentangaben in Gewicht ausgedrückt
sind.
7,6 Teile Natriumnitrat v/erden zu 90 Teilen Schwefelsäure
zugegeben, wobei die Temperatur auf 300C steigen gelassen
wird. Bas Gemisch wird dann auf 5°C abgekühlt, und eine Mischung
von 50 Teilen Propionsäure und 300 Teilen Essigsäure wird zugegeben. Die Temperatur des Gemischs wird auf 15°C
steigen gelassen und dann auf dieser Temperatur gehalten. Das Gemisch wird auf O0G abgekühlt, 18,9 Teile 2-Amino-3,5-dinitrothiophen
werden während 30 min zugegeben, und das Gemisch wird 20 min bei O0C gerührt. Die erhaltene Lösung wird
zu einer Lösung von 31 Teilen 2-Methoxy-5-acetylamino-lT-ß-/Ϊ3'~(methoxyäthoxycarbonyl)äthyl/anilin
in 300 Teilen Wasser, das 30 Teile konzentrierte wäßrige Salzsäure und 350 Teile
Eis enthält, zugegeben. Das Gemisch wird 50 min bei 0 C gerührt und der ausgefallene Farbstoff wird dann abfiltriert,
mit Wasser gewaschen und getrocknet.
Wenn der Farbstoff aus einer wäßrigen Dispersion auf aromatische Polyestertextilmaterialien aufgebracht wird, dann ergibt
er grüne Farbtöne mit vorzüglichen Echtheitseigenschaften.
Das 2-Amino-3,5-dinitrothiophen wurde selbst durch Umsetzung
des Natriumsalzes von Cyanoessigsäure mit dem Dimer von
Mercaptoacetaldehyd in wäßrigem Medium bei 80 C, Abkühlen auf 2O0C, Zusatz von Essigsäureanhydrid unter Aufrechterhaltung
eines pHs von 6-'7, Ansäuern und Isolieren der 2-Acetyl-

aminothiophen-3-carbonsäure erhalten. Diese wurde dann in schwefelsaurem Medium bei 00C dinitriert, das erhaltene
2-Acetylamino-3,5-dinitrothiophen wurde isoliert und dann
durch Erhitzen in wäßriger Schwefelsäurelösung deacetyliert,

von 2-Aninc-3,5-dinitrothiophen und Kuppeln der resultierenden Diazoverbindung mit der,.Kupplungskomponente von
Spalxe 2 der Tabelle, wobei ähnliche Verfahren wie in Beispiel 1 verwendet werden. Die mit diesen Farbstoffen auf
aromatischen Polyestertextilmaterialien erhaltenen Farbtöne
sind in der letzten Spalte der Tabelle angegeben.

Das in den obigen Beispielen verwendete 2-ÄKiino-3»5.-dinitro-4—
methylthiophan wurde wie folgt erhalten:
Chloroaceton wurde mit Hatriumhydrosulfid in wäßrigein Medium
umgesetzt, und die erhaltene Lösung wurde mit Äthylcyanoacetat in Gegenwart von Triäthylamin beim Siedepunkt behandelt. Zusatz
von Wasser fällte 2~Amino-3~äthoxycarbonyl-4-methylthiophen
aus, welches aceliert und dann mit einer wäßrigen Lösung von Katriumhydroxyd erhitzt wurde, wobei 2-Aeetylamino—4—methylthiophen-3-carbcnsäure
erhalten wurde. Diese wurde durch Erhitzen in Κ,ίί-Diäthylanilin auf 22O0O de carboxyliert, das Produkt
wurde in schwefelsaurem Medium bei -5 C dinitriert, und
dann durch Erhitzen in wäßriger Schwefelsäurelösung deacetyliert,

Das 2-Amino-3,4,5-trinitrothiophen wurde erhalten durch Umsetzung
von 2-Bromo-3,4,5-trinitrothiophen (Journal of
Organic Chemistry 1957, Seite 15S8) mit Ammoniak in Tetrahydrofuran.
Das 2-Amino-3-nitro-5-(li,N-diäthylcarbamoyl)thiophen wurde
erhalten durch Umsetzung von 2-Bromo-3-nitrothiophen-5-carbcnsäure
(Chemical Abstracts 1963 auf Seite 386Gh) mit 'Thionylchlorid in Toluol in Gegenwart von Dimethylformamid
und anschließende Umsetzung mit Diäthylamin und darauffolgende Behandlung mit Ammoniak, um das Bromatom durch eine
Aminogruppe zu ersetzen. Bas ^-Amino-S-nitro-S-carcamcylthiophen
und das 2-amino-3-nitro-5-(N-pheny-lcarbamoyl)thiophen
wurden in ähnlicher Weise hergestellt, wobei das Diäthyl-■amin
durch Ammoniak bzw. Anilin ersetzt wurde.. ·
Das 2-Amino-3-nitro-5-methoxycarbonylthiopher- wurde hergestellt
durch Veresterung von 2-Bromo-3-nitrothiophen-5-carbonsäure
unter Verwendung einer 9 yi-igen Lösung von Schwefelsäure
in Methanol und Umsetzung des Bromoesters mit einer konzentrierten wäßrigen lösung von Ammoniak in Gegenwart von
Dimethylformamid. Das 2-^^0-3-^x^0-5-^110x^03^0^1^10-phen
wurde in analoger Weise hergestellt. Das 2-An:ino-3-nitro-5-(ß-methoxyäthoxycarbonyl)thiophen
wurde hergestellt durch Umesterung von 2-Amino-3-nitro-5-methoxycarbonylthiophen,
und zwar durch Erhitzung in ß-Methoxyäthanol in Gegenwart
von Tetrabutyltitanat.
Das 2-Amino—3-nitro-5-cyanothiophen wurde hergestellt durch
Umwandlung des Oxims von 2-Acetylamino-5-formylthiophen (Journal of the Chemical Society 1955, Seite 1701) in die
5-Cyanoverbindung, und zwar durch Erhitzen mit Essigsäureanhydrid,

5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
als Amin 2-Amino-3,5-dinitrothiophen verwendet wire.
6. Verfahren nach einen der Ansprüche 4 oder 5, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß eine Zupplungskomponente der !Formel

verwendet wird, worin R und R die in Anspruch 1 angegebenen Bedeutungen besitzen und T , X und Ί? die in Anspruch 3 angegebenen Bedeutungen besitzen.

bis 3 zum Färben von synthetischen Textilmaterialien, insbesondere
von aromatischen Polyestertextllnaterialien.
