周囲環境が空気でありかつ雰囲気をNaOHで飽和させるためにJargal−M(商標)ブランド耐火物片(「JM」)で充填されている、密閉容器中、10時間にわたり1700℃。
Claims (18)
- 総含有量で少なくとも93wt%のAl2O3を含む耐火物であって、前記Al2O3の少なくとも50%はβアルミナを含み、前記耐火物は少なくとも0.1vol%且つ20vol%以下の多孔度を有し、前記耐火物はガラスフュージョンプロセスにおいて使用されることが可能である、耐火物。
- 総含有量で少なくとも93wt%のAl2O3を含む素地を調製する工程であって、前記Al2O3の少なくとも50%はβアルミナを含む、工程と、
前記素地を焼結して耐火物を形成する工程と
を含む、耐火物を形成する方法であって、
前記耐火物は、少なくとも0.1vol%且つ20vol%以下の多孔度を有し、ガラスフュージョンプロセスにおいて使用されることが可能である、
方法。 - 焼結が、1700℃以下の温度で行われる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 焼結が、耐火物とは別個の供給源により供給される第1族元素、第2族元素、希土類元素、Pb、またはそれらの任意の組み合わせを含む蒸気を含む周囲環境中で行われる、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 数種の粉末を摩砕して摩砕粉末を形成する工程を更に含み、
前記磨砕が、乾式磨砕、湿式磨砕、またはそれらの任意の組み合わせとして行われる、請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記磨砕粉末の粒径のD10値が、9ミクロン以下であるか、
前記磨砕粉末の前記粒径のD50値が、20ミクロン以下であるか、
前記磨砕粉末の前記粒径のD90値が、90ミクロン以下であるか、または
これらの任意の組み合わせである、請求項5に記載の方法。 - 前記磨砕粉末が、α−Al2O3、βアルミナ、またはそれらの任意の組み合わせを含む、請求項5または6に記載の方法。
- 前記磨砕粉末が、少なくとも0.5m2/gの比表面積を有する、請求項5、6または7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 耐火物を形成する方法であって、前記方法は、
粉末を溶融して溶融組成物を形成する工程であって、前記粉末は、
α−Al2O3およびβ変換物質か、
βアルミナか、または
それらの任意の組み合わせ
を含む、工程と、
前記溶融組成物を金型に充填する工程であって、前記金型は前記耐火物に対応するパターンを有する、工程と、
前記耐火物を冷却する工程と
を含み、前記耐火物は、総含有量で少なくとも93wt%のアルミナを含み、ガラスフュージョンプロセスにおいて使用されることが可能であり、そして前記耐火物の総Al2O3含有量の少なくとも50%がβアルミナであり、少なくとも0.1vol%且つ20vol%以下の多孔度を有する、方法。 - 前記耐火物をガラスオーバーフロー成形ブロックに造形する工程をさらに含む、請求項2〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記βアルミナが、少なくとも70%を占める、請求項1に記載の耐火物。
- 前記耐火物が、本体と前記本体の少なくとも一部に沿った被膜とを含み、前記被膜は、前記βアルミナを含む、請求項1に記載の耐火物。
- 前記被膜が、5000μm以下の厚さを有する、請求項12に記載の耐火物。
- 前記被膜が、少なくとも100μmの厚さを有する、請求項12に記載の耐火物。
- 前記βアルミナが、少なくとも70%を占める、請求項2〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記耐火物が、本体と前記本体の少なくとも一部に沿った被膜とを含み、前記被膜は、前記βアルミナを含む、請求項2〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記被膜が、5000μm以下の厚さを有する、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記被膜が、少なくとも100μmの厚さを有する、請求項16に記載の方法。
