In other words, the vehicle body front structure 10 can simplify the structure for preventing the side door 22 from coming off, which also contributes to weight reduction.
- the bracket 46 is provided at the vehicle vertical position corresponding to the belt line in the front pillar lower 14 ⁇ / b> B. Maintained. For this reason, in the vehicle body front part structure 10, a load can be transmitted more efficiently from the front pillar lower 14 ⁇ / b> B to the side door 22 in the case of a frontal collision.
- the flange 34A of the dash panel 34 is directly joined to the flange 60D of the pillar reinforcement lower 60. For this reason, for example, the load input to the dash panel 34 at the time of the frontal collision of the automobile 11 is efficiently transmitted to the pillar reinforcement lower 60 which is a high-strength portion of the front pillar lower 14B.
- the pillar outer reinforcement 506 is joined to the front wall 56B at the front wall 506A, and the flange 34A of the dash panel 34 includes the flange 56D of the front pillar outer portion 56, the front The pillar inner panel 504 is joined to the flange 504A.
- the load input to the dash panel 34 is transmitted to the high-strength 506 via the front pillar inner panel 504 having a relatively low strength, and the load transmission efficiency is low.
- the outer end in the vehicle width direction of the dash cross member 44 is joined to the inward surface in the vehicle width direction of the front pillar inner panel 504 (see FIG. 15).
- the load from the dash panel 34 is efficiently transmitted to the front pillar lower 14B.
- the vehicle width direction outer end portion 44 ⁇ / b> B of the dash cross member 44 that reinforces the dash panel 34 is directly joined to the pillar reinforcement lower 60.
- the load from the dash panel 34, that is, the dash cross member 44 is more efficiently transmitted to the front pillar lower 14 ⁇ / b> B at the time of a frontal collision of the automobile 11.
- pillar reinforcement lowers 60 constituting the front pillar lowers 14B on both sides in the vehicle width direction are connected (bridged) via an instrument panel reinforcement 42 and a dash cross member 44.

- each front pillar 502 needs to be reinforced to withstand a load assumed in the case of the collision side.
- the pillar reinforcement lowers 60 which are high-strength portions of the front pillar lower 14B, are bridged by the instrument panel reinforcement 42 and the dash cross member 44. Therefore, in the vehicle body front part structure 10, in the case of an offset frontal collision, the load can be efficiently transmitted from the front pillar lower 14B on the collision side to the front pillar lower 14B on the opposite side without reducing the low strength portion. For this reason, in the vehicle body front part structure 10, the burden on the collision side with respect to the offset collision is reduced, that is, the required strength is reduced, which also contributes to weight reduction from this viewpoint.
- the outer end 44B in the vehicle width direction of the dash cross member 44 enters the open cross section of the front pillar lower 14B and functions as a bulkhead. For this reason, for example, when the front wheel 38 on the collision side comes into contact with the lower portion of the front pillar lower 14B in the case of an offset frontal collision, the cross-sectional shape of the front pillar lower 14B around the contact portion is maintained. In this way, the load from the front wheel 38 can be efficiently transmitted to the rocker 12 and the like while maintaining the cross-sectional shape of the front pillar lower 14B.
- an instrument panel reinforcement 42 is connected to the pillar reinforcement lower 60 via a bracket 46. Therefore, the vehicle body front structure 10 is compared with the vehicle body front structure 500 having a gusset 510 for transmitting a load to the belt line portion of the side door 22 and a bracket 508 in the closed cross section of the front pillar 502. Thus, the number of parts is reduced.
