Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Trägerkörper (1) mit einem Adsorbermaterial (2) zum Adsorbieren von Stickoxiden eines Abgases, das in wenigstens einer Brennkammer (3) einer Verbrennungskraftmaschine (4) erzeugt wird, sowie eine Betriebsweise einer Verbrennungskraftmaschine (4) mit einer einen solchen Trägerkörper (1) aufweisenden Abgasanlage (20). Alle Brennkammern (3) der Verbrennungskraftmaschine (4) weisen zusammen insgesamt ein Brennkammervolumen (5) und der Trägerkörper (1) ein Adsorbervolumen (6) auf, wobei das Adsorbervolumen (6) kleiner als 75 %, insbesondere kleiner 45 % und bevorzugt sogar kleiner als 5 % des Brennkammervolumens (5) ausgeführt ist. Ein solcher Trägerkörper (1) gewährleistet einerseits ein gutes Kaltstartverhalten der Abgasanlage (20) und vermeidet andererseits den Ausstoss von Stickoxiden, insbesondere bei Verwendung des vorgeschlagenen Betriebsweise der Abgasanlage (20).
