Claims (7)
- 金属製の板材を二重に巻回し、内板及び外板から成る筒状に形成すると共に、前記内板及び外板の周方向端部を周方向に交差させて重合部を形成し、該重合部を接合して成る排気系部品の外筒において、前記内板と前記外板との間に形成する複数の周方向連通路であって、各周方向連通路が、前記内板及び前記外板の一方の周方向端縁を中心に所定距離を隔てて対向する先端部を有し、前記外板の長手方向に沿って並設する複数の周方向連通路を備え、該複数の周方向連通路の隣接する周方向連通路間であって前記外板の長手方向の周方向連通路間に位置する前記重合部の一部を接合したことを特徴とする排気系部品の外筒。
- 前記内板及び外板の径方向断面を非円形に形成すると共に、前記内板及び外板の曲率が最小となる箇所に前記周方向連通路を形成したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気系部品の外筒。
- 前記複数の周方向連通路が、前記外板を外方に膨出形成して成る複数の条溝であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気系部品の外筒。
- 前記複数の周方向連通路の隣接する周方向連通路間であって前記外板の長手方向の周方向連通路間に位置する前記重合部の一部を溶接したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気系部品の外筒。
- 金属製の板材を二重に巻回し、内板及び外板から成る筒状に形成すると共に、前記内板及び外板の周方向端部をロックシーム加工によって接合して成る排気系部品の外筒において、前記内板と前記外板との間に形成する複数の周方向連通路であって、各周方向連通路が、前記内板及び前記外板の一方の周方向端縁を中心に所定距離を隔てて対向する先端部を有し、前記外板の長手方向に沿って並設する複数の周方向連通路を備えたことを特徴とする排気系部品の外筒。
- 前記内板及び外板の径方向断面を非円形に形成すると共に、前記内板及び外板の曲率が最小となる箇所に前記周方向連通路を形成したことを特徴とする請求項5記載の排気系部品の外筒。
- 前記複数の周方向連通路が、前記外板を外方に膨出形成して成る複数の条溝であることを特徴とする請求項5記載の排気系部品の外筒。
