Claims (7)
- 발광부와, 상기 발광부에 공급하는 전류의 제어를 화소 전극을 통하여 행하는 주변 회로를 구비하고,상기 발광부의 면적은 상기 화소 전극의 면적보다 작고,상기 발광부의 형상과 상기 화소 전극의 형상이 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 발광부의 형상은 곡률을 갖는 형상이며, 상기 화소 전극의 형상은 다각형의 형상인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 발광부는 n개(n은 4 이상의 정수)의 각을 갖는 다각형 형상을 갖고 있고,상기 화소 전극은 m개(m은 3 이상의 정수)의 각을 갖는 다각형 형상을 갖고 있고,n>m으로 되는 관계를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 발광부의 전체 영역은 상기 화소 전극 위에 형성되어 있고,상기 발광부가 형성되어 있지 않은 상기 화소 전극 부분에 상기 주변 회로와 상기 화소 전극의 접속을 위한 콘택트 영역이 설치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 주변 회로의 적어도 일부는 상기 발광부의 경계와 상기 화소 전극의 경계 사이에 둘러싸인 영역 내에 설치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 발광부의 경계의 적어도 일부는 소정의 곡률을 갖고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 발광부는 그 기하학 중심을 통과하는 하나의 중심선에 대하여 실질적으로 대칭인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
