Transmission-gear between separate axles.- In a six-wheeled vehicle having the middle and rear wheels driven from a longitudinal shaft 3, the middle wheels are driven through two bevel-gear trains 9, 10 and 11, 12, the pinions 9, 11 being coaxial with the shaft 3 and connected therewith bv a differential gear 15. The engine and change-speed gear-box 2, and the bevel gear-box 7 form a single unit mounted on the chassis frame 19. The rear wheels are steered and the driving-gear 20, 22 therefor may either be mounted on the axle as shown or may be mounted on the chassis frame.
