345,003. Motor vehicle driving-gear. TATRA - WERKE AUTOMOBIL - UND WAGGONBAU AKT. - GES., Smichow, Prague. Jan. 17, 1930, No. 1750. Convention date, Jan. 21, 1929. [Classes 79 (ii) and 79 (iv).] Axle structures.-In vehicles having half-axles 3 pivoted about a centre or shaft 6 lower than the road wheel axes, the transverse driving shafts 4 supported in the half-axles are also lower than the wheel axes and drive the wheels through spur gearing 9, 10. The half-axles are connected by guides 2 to a central casing 1 which may be a tubular member forming the main chassis frame. The shaft 6 carries a differential gear driving bevel pinions in gear with bevel wheels 5 on the axle shafts 4.
