Abstract
La solicitud se refiere a un método para eliminar arsénico como escorodita a partir de soluciones que contienen hierro y arsénico. De acuerdo con el método, el arsénico es primero precipitado como arseniato férrico y posteriormente se procesa hidrotérmicamente en escorodita cristalina. Reivindicacion 1: Un método para precipitar hierro y arsénico como un compuesto poco soluble a partir de soluciones acuosas acídicas, caracterizado porque una solucion que contiene hierro y una solucion que contiene arsénico se oxidan por medio de un oxidante de modo que el hierro se oxida hasta trivalente y el arsénico hasta pentavalente y porque el hierro y arsénico se precipitan como arseniato férrico a presion atmosférica, con lo cual la relacion hierro-arsénico se ajusta a la region de 1-3,5, y el pH en la region de 1,5-4,5; y el precipitado de arseniato férrico formado es llevado a conversion hidrotérmica a una temperatura de 150-200°C, a la cual el arseniato férrico se cristaliza como escorodita poco soluble. Reivindicacion 2: Un método de acuerdo con la reivindicacion 1, caracterizado porque la relacion hierro-arsénico en la etapa de precipitacion de arseniato férrico se ajusta a entre 1-1,5. Reivindicacion 3: Un método de acuerdo con la reivindicacion 1, caracterizado porque el pH en la etapa de precipitacion de arseniato férrico es del orden de 1,5-2. Reivindicacion 4: Un método de acuerdo con la reivindicacion 1, caracterizado porque la conversion hidrotérmica se lleva a cabo a una temperatura de 160-180°C. Reivindicacion 10: Un método de acuerdo con la reivindicacion 1, caracterizado porque la solucion de la etapa de precipitacion de arseniato férrico se lleva por lo menos parcialmente de regreso a la etapa de precipitacion de arseniato férrico.
