Description
また、エアバッグよりも下方側に配置することにより、装置全体の重心位置を下げ安定性を向上することができ、レイアウトの自由度を向上することができる。
また、背もたれ部内の骨格部材にインフレータを設けることにより、装置全体を背もたれ部内に集中配置することができ、取り扱い性や組み立て性を向上することができる。
また、骨格部材に設けたリテーナでエアバッグを収納保持することにより、エアバッグを骨格部材に対して固定することができる。
また、インフレータとエアバッグとを互いに離して配置しつつ、インフレータからの圧力流体をエアバッグに導入し膨張展開させることが可能となる。

Claims (2)
- 基布を結合した袋体から構成され、膨張時において自動車のルーフと乗員の頭部との間に展開することにより前記頭部の上方への移動を拘束するように前記自動車の座席内に設けたエアバッグと、
前記座席の背もたれ部の骨格部材に設けられ、前記エアバッグを収納保持するリテーナと、
前記座席の骨格部材のうち前記エアバッグより下方側に設けられ、前記エアバッグを膨張展開させるための圧力流体を供給する円筒型のインフレータとを有し、
前記インフレータを、前記骨格部材を構成する車幅方向両側の一対のサイドプレートのうち、車幅方向一方側の前記サイドプレートに対し吐出方向を上側として縦向きに設け、
前記エアバッグと前記インフレータとを、パイプ部材を介して接続した
ことを特徴とするエアバッグ装置。 - 請求項1記載のエアバッグ装置において、
前記エアバッグは、複数のチャンバ室部を有しており、
前記パイプ部材は、前記圧力流体の流入方向が前記チャンバ室部の延在方向に沿うように、前記エアバッグに対し接続されている
ことを特徴とするエアバッグ装置。
