Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は高速道路等の自動料金課金システムおよびセ
キュリティゾーンへの許可車両識別を可能とするICカー
ドアダプタに関する。
従来の技術 従来、高速道路等の料金所自動課金システムとしては
例えば「交通工学」第21巻２号26〜29頁（交通工学研究
会発行）に示されるように、単機能の無線ICカードが車
両個別識別として検討されている。
発明が解決しようとする課題 しかしながら、この無線ICプレートは比較的大型・大
重量であり、財布等に入れて持ち運ぶことは困難であっ
た。一方、金融機関等で一部実運用に供されつつあるIC
カードは、通常接点を介して情報の読み出し乃至書き込
みを行っており、小型軽量で持ち運び容易であるが、無
線乃至光通信等による非接触方式の情報の読み出し乃至
書き込みは困難であった。
一方、高速道路の料金所ゲート等に於いては交通渋滞
緩和の観点から無線ICカード方式によるノンストップ料
金自動収受が望ましく、これに従来の金融機関ICカード
が利用できると金融残高の確認および通行データ保存の
点から高信頼性の料金自動課金が可能となる。本発明は
このような従来の課題を解決するものであり、接触型IC
カードの機能を活かして非接触自動課金を可能とするIC
カードアダプタを提供するものである。
課題を解決するための手段 本発明は上記目的を達成するために、接触型ICカード
を着脱自在とし、通信処理部，送受信部，電源部等より
なる無線乃至光通信機能を具備するICカードアダプタを
用いて接触型ICカードの非接触通信機能を実現するよう
にしたものである。
作用 本発明は上記ような構成により次のような作用を有す
る。すなわち、接触型ICカード内の情報はICカードアダ
プタとの接点を介して、アダプタ内の通信処理部へ情報
伝送され、通信処理部乃至必要に応じて情報保存部へ保
存された前記情報は電源部と送受信部とより電波乃至光
通信波に増幅変換されることにより外部との非接触型情
報交換を行うことができる。
実施例 第２図は本発明の一実施例によるICカードアダプタを
使用した自動車両識別装置の構成を示すものである。第
２図において、11はICカード読取部であり路上アンテナ
部12,通信処理部13,ID番号識別部14より構成され各々図
示のごとく結合される。15はナンバプレート読取部であ
り、撮像部16,画像処理部17,ナンバプレート識別部18よ
り構成され各々図示のごとく結合される。ICカード読取
部11とナンバプレート読取部15とは比較照合部19と各々
結合され、比較照合部19は通信制御部20,21と結合さ
れ、さらに通信制御部20は料金計算処理部22と、通信制
御部21は不正通行対応部23と各々結合される。
第３図は第２図にて説明した一実施例の路上設備の一
構成例を示すイメージ図である。図に於て、車両25に設
置されるICカードアダプタ24はアンテナ部11と無線等を
利用して情報交換を行うとともに、撮像部16によりナン
バプレート26を撮像するごとく構成される。
次に上記実施例の動作について説明する。上記実施例
においてICカード読取部11では車両25に搭載されたICカ
ードアダプタ24と路上アンテナ部12とで無線通信や光通
信等の通信手段を介してID番号情報を受信し、通信処理
部13を介してID番号識別部14にてID番号情報およびID番
号情報の少なくとも一部に含まれる車種コード,4桁一連
番号等のナンバプレート情報を識別し、比較照合部19へ
ナンバプレート情報を伝送する。
ナンバプレート読取部15では撮像部16により走行する
車両25のナンバプレート26を撮像し、画像処理部17を介
してナンバプレート識別部18にてナンバプレート情報の
うち車種コード・４桁一連番号等のナンバプレート情報
を識別し比較照合部19へ情報伝送する。比較照合部19で
はID番号識別部14およびナンバプレート識部部18より各
々送られてきた各ナンバプレート情報を比較照合し、比
較情報が合致していれば正の判定とし通信制御部20を介
して料金計算処理部22へ車両通過情報を送信し、必要な
車種区分等に応じた料金計算処理を実施するとともに、
ICカード27内の銀行口座番号・預金残高等の必要情報を
保存する。また、比較照合部19では前記比較情報が不一
致であれば負の判定とし通信制御部21を介して不正通行
対応部23へ情報送信を行い、ゲート閉鎖あるいは不正通
行車両の撮像等（いずれも図示せず）の必要な措置を行
なう。
このように上記実施例によれば、ICカード読取部11よ
り得られる本来ICカードアダプタ24が取りつけられるべ
き正規のナンバプレート情報と、ナンバプレート読取部
15より得られる実際にIDプレートが取りつけられている
車両ナンバプレート情報とをリアルタイムに識別可能と
なり、比較照合部19にて各々のナンバプレート情報を照
合判定することによりIDプレートの不正使用の防止ある
いはIDプレートの故障判定をリアルタイムに行うことが
可能となる優れた効果を奏するものである。
ICカードアダプタ24へは例えば10桁の数値列等の一連
のID番号と同時にナンバプレート情報をID番号の一部と
して書き加えても良いし、陸事コード・車種コード・用
途コード・４桁一連番号等のナンバプレート情報そのも
のをID番号として使用してもよい。
第１図はICカードアダプタ24の構成を示す。ICカード
アダプタ24は変調信号発生部30および変調部31よりなる
送受信部34,プレートアンテナ部32,画像処理部29,情報
蓄積部28,電源部35を有しており、ICカード27を装着す
ることにより接点33を介して通信処理部29に連結され
る。
ICカードアダプタ24では路上アンテナ12の呼びかけに
対し、プレートアンテナ部32,変調部31,変調信号発生部
30より通信処理部29で伝送すべき情報の準備を行なう。
すなわち、通信処理部29では接点33を介してICカード27
へ銀行口座番号，預金残高等の料金支払いに必要な情報
をリクエストし、ICカード27では情報の提供に必要なセ
キュリティ上の手順を確認した上で、必要な情報を通信
処理部29へ提供する。28は情報蓄積部で、数値列，車両
ナンバプレート情報等を保存する。
このように、上記実施例によれば、通常の接触型ICカ
ード27内部の情報を接点33を介して通信処理部29,送受
信部34より非接触にて情報送受信が可能となり、通常の
金融機関等で使用する接触型ICカード27が非接触ICカー
ドとしての機能を具備する効果を有する。
すなわち、通常時は金融機関用のICカードとして独立
に使用し、車両運転時はICカードアダプタ24へ装着する
ことによりノンストップの料金所自動課金用無線ICカー
ドとして機能する優れた効果を有するものである。
発明の効果 本発明は、上記実施例のように、 （１） ICカードアダプタに、ID番号を記憶する情報蓄
積部を設けることにより、必要なID番号をICカードと別
個に設定可能となり、実使用の柔軟性を高めることがで
きる。
（２） 情報蓄積部に、車両のナンバープレート情報を
記憶することにより、ICカードに、情報蓄積部に記憶さ
れたナンバープレート情報とともに、通過した料金所情
報、課金金額、年月日時分の情報を書き込むことがで
き、どの車両で課金されたかの履歴管理をすることがで
きる。
ことができるという効果を有する。

Claims (2)

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】情報を記憶するICカードと、ID番号を記憶
    する情報蓄積部と、この情報蓄積部からID番号を読み出
    し、上記ICカードと接触型接点を介して接点結合され、
    この接触型接点を介して上記情報に対して、書き込み乃
    至読み出しを行い、送受信部により上記情報及び上記ID
    番号を送信する通信処理部とを備えたICカードアダプ
    タ。
  2. 【請求項２】情報蓄積部に、車両のナンバープレート情
    報を記憶することを特徴とする請求項（１）記載のICカ
    ードアダプタ。
