Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は高速道路等の自動料金課金システムおよびセキ
ュリティゾーンへの許可車両識別を可能とするＩＣカー
ドアダプタに関する。
従来の技術 従来、高速道路等の料金所自動課金システムとしては例
えば「交通工学」第２１巻２号２６〜２９頁（交通工学
研究会発行）に示されるように、単機能の無線ＩＣカー
ドが車両個別識別として検討されている。
発明が解決しようとする課題 しかしなから、この無線ＩＣプレートは比較的大型・大
重量であり、財布等に入れて持ち運ぶことは困難であっ
た。一方、金融機関等で一部実運用に供されつつあるＩ
Ｃカードは、通常接点を介して情報の読み出し乃至書き
込みを行っており、小型軽量で持ち運び容易であるが、
無線乃至光通信等による非接触方式の情報の読み出し乃
至書き込みは困難であった。
一方、高速道路の料金所ゲート等に於いては交通渋滞緩
和の観点から無線ＩＣカード方式によるノンストップ料
金自動収受が望ましく、これに従来の金融機関ＩＣカー
ドが利用できると金融残高の確認および通行データ保存
の点から高信頼性の料金自動課金が可能となる。本発明
はこのような従来の課題を解決するものであり、接触型
ＩＣカードの機能を活かして非接触自動課金を可能とす
るＩＣカードアダプタを提供するものである。
課題を解決するための手段 本発明は上記目的を達成するために、接触型ＩＣカード
を着脱自在とし、通信処理部、送受信部。
電源部等よりなる無線乃至光通信機能を具備するＩＣカ
ードアダプタを用いて接触型ＩＣカードの非接触通信機
能を実現するようにしたものである。
作用 本発明は上記ような構成により次のような作用を有する
。すなわち、接触型ＩＣカード内の情報はＩＣカードア
ダプタとの接点を介して、アダプタ内の通信処理部へ情
報伝送され、通信処理部乃至必要に応じて情報保存部へ
保存された前記情報は電源部と送受信部とより電波乃至
光通信波に増幅変換されることにより外部との非接触型
情報交換を行うことができる。
実施例 第２図は本発明の一実施例によるＩＣカードアダプタを
使用した自動車両識別装置の構成を示すものである。第
２図において、１１はＩＣカード読取部であり路上アン
テナ部１２１通信処理部１３、ＩＤ番号識別部１４より
構成され各々図示のごとく結合される。１５はナンバプ
レート読取部であり、撮像部１６１画像処理部１７．ナ
ンバプレート識別部１８より構成され各々図示のごとく
結合される。ＩＣカード読取部１１とナンバフレート読
取部１５とは比較照合部１９と各々結合され、比較照合
部１９は通信制御部２０．２１と結合され、さらに通信
制御部２０は料金計算処理部２２と、通信制御部２１は
不正通行対応部２３と各々結合される。
第３図は第２図にて説明した一実施例の路上設備の一構
成例を示すイメージ図である。図に於て、車両２５に設
置されるＩＣカードアダプタ２４はアンテナ部１１と無
線等を利用して情報交換を行うとともに、撮像部１６に
よりナンバプレート２６を撮像するごとく構成される。
次に上記実施例の動作について説明する。上記実施例に
おいてＩＣカード読取部１１では車両２５に搭載された
Ｉｃカードアダプタ２４と路上アンテナ部１２とで無線
通信や光通信等の通信手段を介してＩＤ番号情報を受信
し、通信処理部１３を介してＩＤ番号識別部１４にてＩ
Ｄ番号情報およびＩＤ番号情報の少なくとも一部に含ま
れる車種コード、４桁一連番号等のナンバプレート情報
を識別し、比較照合部１９ヘナンパプレート情報を伝送
する。
ナンバプレート読取部１５では撮像部１６により走行す
る車両２５のナンバプレート２６を撮像し、画像処理部
１７を介してナンバプレート識別部１８にてナンバプレ
ート情報のうち車種コード・４桁一連番号等のナンバプ
レート情報を識別し比較照合部１９へ情報伝送する。比
較照合部１９ではＩＤ番号識別部１４およびナンバプレ
ート織部部１８より各々送られてきた各ナンバプレート
情報を比較照合し、比較情報が合致していれば正の判定
とし通信制御部２０を介して料金計算処理部２２へ車両
通過情報を送信し、必要な車種区分等に応じた料金計算
処理を実施するとともに、ＩＣカード２７内の銀行口座
番号・預金残高等の必要情報を保存する。また、比較照
合部１９では前記比較情報が不一致であれば負の判定と
し通信制御部２１を介して不正通行対応部２３へ情報送
信を行い、ゲート閉鎖あるいは不正通行車両の撮像等（
いずれも図示せず）の必要な措置を行なう。
このように上記実施例によれば、ＩＣカード読取部１１
より得られる本来ＩＣカードアダプタ２４が取りつけら
れるべき正規のナンバプレート情報と、ナンバプレート
読取部１５より得られる実際にＩＤプレートが取りつけ
られている車両ナンバプレート情報とをリアルタイムに
識別可能となり、比較照合部１９にて各々のナンバプレ
ート情報を照合判定することによりＩＤプレートの不正
使用の防止あるいはＩＤプレートの故障判定をリアルタ
イムに行うことが可能となる優れた効果を奏するもので
ある。
ＩＣカードアダプタ２４へは例えば１０桁の数値列等の
一連のＩＤ番号と同時にナンバプレート情報をＩＤ番号
の一部として書き加えても良いし、陸軍コード・車種コ
ード・用途コード・４桁一連番号等のナンバプレート情
報そのものをＩＤ番号として使用してもよい。
第１図はＩＣカードアダプタ２４の構成を示す。
ＩＣカードアダプタ２４は変調信号発生部３０および変
調部３１よりなる送受信部３４．プレートアンテナ部３
２９画像処理部２９．情報蓄積部２８、電源部３５を有
しており、ＩＣカード２７を装着することにより接点３
３を介して画像処理部に連結される。
ＩＣカードアダプタ２４では路上アンテナ１２の呼びか
けに対し、プレートアンテナ部３２．変調部３１．変調
信号発生部３０より通信処理部２９で伝送すべき情報の
準備を行なう。すなわち、通信処理部２９では接点３３
を介してＩＣカード２７へ銀行口座番号、預金残高等の
料金支払いに必要な情報をリクエストし、ＩＣカード２
７では情報の提供に必要なセキュリティ上の手順を確認
した上で、必要な情報を通信処理部２９へ提供する。２
８は情報蓄積部で、数値列、車両ナンバプレート情報等
を保存する。
このように、上記実施例によれば、通常の接触型ＩＣカ
ード２７内部の情報を接点３３を介して通信処理部２９
．送受信部３４より非接触にて情報送受信が可能となり
、通常の金融機関等で使用する接触型ＩＣカード２７が
非接触ＩＣカードとしての機能を具備する効果を有する
。
すなわち、通常時は金融機関用のＩＣカードとして独立
に使用し、車両運転時はＩＣカードアダプタ２４へ装着
することによりノンストップの料金所自動課金用無線Ｉ
Ｃカードとして機能する優れた効果を有するものである
。
発明の効果 本発明は上記実施例より明らかなように、接触型ＩＣカ
ードを無線乃至光通信機能を具備するＩＣカードアダプ
タに装着することにより非接、触ＩＣカードとしても機
能する利点を有する。当然のことながら、ＩＣカードの
高いセキュリティ機能は維持したままである。
また、通常の非接触ＩＣカードと異なりカードと別体に
電源部１通信処理部、送受信部を具備するＩＣカードア
ダプタとして構成しているため、送信パワー的に充分な
能力を有することが容易で通信距離等の制約が少なくな
るとともに、ＩＣカード本体２７は財布に入れて容易に
持ち運へる如〈従来通り小型軽量のままである。
また、ＩＣカードアダプタに情報蓄積部を具備すること
により、必要なＩＤ情報をＩＣカード２７と別個に設定
可能となり実使用の柔軟性に優れる効果を有する。
さらに、情報蓄積部情報に車両ナンバプレート情報を記
憶しておくことにより、ＩＤカード乃至ＩＤカードの盗
難等に対するセキュリティ性能向上に役立つとともに、
車両の車種分類が容易となる効果を有する。また、必要
に応じてＩＣカード２７内部にも通過した料金所情報７
課金金額７年月日時分の情報と合せて使用車両ナンバ情
報も蓄積可能となり、との車両で課金されたかの履歴管
理も可能となる効果を有する。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）電源部と、通信処理部と、送受信部と、接触型接
    点によって情報の読み出し乃至書き込みの少なくとも一
    部の機能を具備するＩＣカードと接点結合する手段とを
    有することを特徴とするＩＣカードアダプタ。
  2. （２）情報を保存する手段を具備することを特徴とする
    請求項１に記載のＩＣカードアダプタ。
  3. （３）保存される情報が車両のナンバプレート情報であ
    ることを特徴とする請求項２に記載のＩＣカードアダプ
    タ。
