Abstract
車輪取付フランジの面振れ精度を高めてブレーキジャダーの発生を抑制すると共に、フランジ強度を向上させた車輪用軸受装置を提供する。
【解決手段】
車輪取付フランジ4にハブボルト5を包含する所定幅の環状溝11が形成されると共に、車輪取付フランジ4のアウトボード側の基部に、その側面4aから所定深さの環状の段付部15が形成され、ブレーキパイロット部13と交差する隅部13aを含む段付部15に高周波焼入れによって所定の硬化層16が形成され、側面4aを、ハブボルト5が圧入された後に切削加工された切削面としている。これにより、ハブボルト5の圧入によって増加した側面4aの面振れを可及的に抑制することができ、かつ、車輪取付フランジ4の強度を増大させることができる。

Description
図1は、本発明に係る車輪用軸受装置の第1の実施形態を示す縦断面図、図2は、図1の要部拡大図である。
ハブ輪17は、一端部に車輪取付フランジ4を一体に有し、外周に円筒状の小径段部17aが形成されている。複列の転がり軸受18はこの小径段部17aに所定のシメシロを介して圧入されている。

Claims (5)
- 内方部材と外方部材間に複列の転動体を収容し、車体に対して車輪を回転自在に支承する複列の転がり軸受を備え、
前記内方部材または外方部材にブレーキロータを介して車輪を締結する車輪取付フランジと、この車輪取付フランジからアウトボード側に延び、前記ブレーキロータを支持する円筒状のブレーキパイロット部が形成されると共に、
前記車輪取付フランジの周方向に沿って複数のハブボルトが圧入された車輪用軸受装置において、
前記車輪取付フランジのアウトボード側の基部に、その側面から所定深さの環状の段付部が形成されると共に、
前記ブレーキパイロット部と交差する隅部を含む前記段付部に高周波焼入れによって所定の硬化層が形成され、
前記側面を、前記ハブボルトが圧入された後に切削加工された切削面としたことを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記車輪取付フランジのアウトボード側の側面に、前記ハブボルトを包含する所定幅の環状溝が形成されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記段付部の幅が少なくとも10mmに設定されると共に、前記段付部の深さが、前記ハブボルト圧入後の切削取り代以上に設定されている請求項1または2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記硬化層の表面硬さが50〜64HRCの範囲に設定されている請求項1乃至3いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記車輪取付フランジにおけるアウトボード側の側面の面振れが20μm以下に規制されている請求項1乃至4いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
