Abstract

108,838. Arthur, D. M. May 17, 1917. Tools for setting-out work.-Relates to devices for determining the distances and relative positions of two pipe ends in order to obtain the dimensions and shape of the necessary connecting-piece. A plate 4, adapted to be fitted on the flange of the pipe 3, is formed with a slotted arm 6 to which a quadrant piece 7 is connected by set-screws 11, 12. To the end disk 9 a disk 13 is adjustably connected by set-screws passing through slots 14. The disk 13 is connected by means of interchangeable plates or strips 15, 17, 16 to the disk 5 which fits on to the flange of the second pipe.
