Definitions

  • the invention relates to a jack with a supporting leg, with a support arm pivotable thereon about a fixed horizontal axis, according to the characterizing part of claim 1.
  • the invention has for its object to develop a generic jack such that the crank can be pivoted gimbal-like about all axes to the spindle, and even the untrained user is unmistakably able to assemble the hand crank with the threaded spindle, and wherein nevertheless an unintentional loosening of the two assembled components is avoided as far as possible.
  • the transverse slot enclosed by the two fork arms is used to connect the hand crank to the threaded spindle by means of the fork piece.
  • the connection is made by simply plugging it together as the only way to be able to produce a twistable coupling of the crank with the jack, so that a misunderstanding during assembly cannot occur.
  • the width of the cross slot is narrowed to the thickness of the cross bar of the threaded spindle.
  • the fork arms of the fork piece are at a distance from one another approximately twice as large as the width of the transverse slot and the fork arm ends are angled to one another.
  • Such a design allows a considerable angle of rotation between the fork arms and the crossbar with a correspondingly strong prevention of the unwanted release of the crank from the threaded spindle.
  • the bending of the fork arm ends is a simple constructive measure to achieve the desired relative rotation between the threaded spindle and the fork piece.
  • the jack is designed such that the fork arm ends have deep recesses which accommodate the threaded spindle and which accommodate the threaded spindle. At the same time it is achieved that the angling of the fork arm ends is made easier because of the smaller angled cross-section.
  • the jack 10 has a supporting leg 11, at the lower end of which a roller foot 27 is rigidly attached and at the upper end a support arm 13 and a threaded spindle 14 are pivotably articulated about a fixed horizontal axis 12 .
  • the support arm 13 has at its upper end a support plate 28 which is hingedly connected to the support arm 13 via an articulated axis 29 and is subjected to an action by a spring, not shown, which always carries the support plate 28 in its upwardly projecting position with its end 28 ' holds.
  • the jack 10 is attached to the support plate 28 in the area of a sill seam of a body of a motor vehicle. The sill seam is received by the recess 30 of the support plate 28.
  • the jack 10 has two lever arms 15 which are articulated to one another and to the threaded spindle 14.
  • the articulated connection with the threaded spindle 14 takes place by means of a spindle abutment 31, not known per se, which is connected to a joint axis 32 which is also common to the lever arms 15 and which has a roller bearing for low-friction support of the threaded spindle 14.
  • the lever arm 15 which is articulated on the supporting leg 11 has a control arm 33 which is rigidly connected to it and which projects through a recess of the roller foot 27 (not shown) and is supported on the mounting surface 34, the floor which generally also carries the motor vehicle.
  • the parallelogram consisting of the lever arms 15, the supporting leg 11 and the supporting arm 13 is stretched vertically to the installation surface 34, so that the supporting leg 11 and the supporting arm 13 straighten up accordingly and the motor vehicle with the supporting plate 28 lift.
  • the rolling base 27 can roll around its rolling edge 27 'down to its standing surface 35.
  • the crank 16 serving for the rotary actuation of the threaded spindle 14 has two crank rods 36, 37 which are connected to one another via a connecting joint 38.
  • the operator-side crank rod 37 has an angled end 39 with a rotary knob 40 and an angled end which engages in the U-leg of a U-shaped joint piece 41 which is fastened to the elevator-side crank rod 36.
  • the exact design of the connecting joint 38 is described in the German utility model 87 01 736, to which reference is hereby made.
  • a holding sleeve 42 is arranged on the crank rod 36 in the vicinity of the connecting joint 38 and can rotate relative to the crank rod 36 and is fixed axially in a manner not shown.
  • the hand crank 16 is held on this holding sleeve 42 with one hand while the other hand is cranking the knob 10.
  • a universal joint coupling 43 is used, which essentially consists of a crosspiece 20 of the threaded spindle 14 and an essentially U-shaped fork piece 18 of the hand crank 16. Both parts 18, 21 are non-rotatably connected to the parts 14, 36 assigned to them.
  • the crosspiece 20 is thinner than the threaded spindle 14, which results in FIG. 2 from the comparison of the diameters 21, 23 of the crosspiece 20 and the threaded spindle 14.
  • the U-shaped fork piece 18 is provided with fork arms 19 which project from the fork base 26 in the direction of the threaded spindle 14.
  • the fork base 26 is arranged perpendicular to the crank rod 36 and the fork arms 19 project parallel to the crank rod 36.
  • the fork arm ends 22 are angled toward one another and form a transverse slot 17, the width of which is X. This width X is slightly larger than the thickness 21 of the crosspiece 20.
  • the fork arm ends 22 are provided with recesses 25, the depth of which corresponds approximately to the bending length 24 of the fork arm ends 22.
  • the recesses 25 are so wide that the fork arm ends 22 come to rest on both sides of the threaded spindle 14 when the hand crank 16 is assembled with the end 14 'of the threaded spindle 14 in the direction of the arrow 46.
  • the fork piece 18 has a distance Y between its fork arms 19 which is approximately twice as large as the width X of the transverse slot 17.
  • the bend of the fork arm ends 22 from the fork base 26 is provided at a distance Z. This distance Z is greater than the width X of the transverse slot 17.
  • the assembly of the hand crank 16 with the end 14 'of the threaded spindle 14 takes place in that the fork piece 18 and the cross pin 20 are plugged together in the direction of arrow 46, the latter passing through the transverse slot 17 and coming to rest between the fork arms 19, cf. . Fig. 1, 2. Thereafter, the distance Y of the fork arms 19 allows that the hand crank 16 can be rotated relative to the threaded spindle 14. In this rotational position, the transverse axis 44 of the fork piece 18 and the longitudinal axis 45 of the transverse web 20 enclose an angle which characterizes the rotational position. As a result, two diagonally opposite fork arm ends 22 of the fork arms 19 engage behind the crosspiece 20 and thus prevent the crank 16 from being unintentionally pulled off the threaded spindle 14.
  • a lateral pulling of the fork piece 18 in the directions of the longitudinal axis 45 of the cross piece 20 is not possible because two opposite fork arm ends 22 of the fork arms 19 only have a distance X from one another which is slightly greater than the thickness 21 of the cross piece 20, so that the fork ends 22 abut the threaded spindle 14 during lateral movements of the crank rod 16.
  • Fig. 1 shows that the crank rod 36 can take the hand crank 16 positions in which it is not aligned with the threaded spindle 14, but includes angles. With these corresponding positions of the hand crank 16, it is possible that the threaded spindle 14 runs comparatively flat and yet there is no risk that the hand crank 16 will come into contact with the floor 34 when the knob 40 is cranked.
  • crank rod 36 according to FIG. 1 is arranged out of alignment with the threaded spindle 14, the design of the articulated coupling 43 must nevertheless ensure that unproblematic cranking is possible. If the crank rod 36 is set at an angle to the threaded spindle 14, the respective upper fork arm 19 engages over the transverse web to such an extent that the associated recess 25 or its fork arm ends 22 encompass the threaded spindle 14 as far as possible.
  • the recess 25 is sufficiently deep and the distance Z of the fork arm ends 22 from the fork base 26 is sufficiently large.
  • the required play between the fork piece 18 and the crosspiece 20 is accordingly dimensioned accordingly, as is the play for the relative rotation of the fork piece 19 with respect to the crosspiece 20 in the circumferential direction of rotation of the threaded spindle 14.
