Abstract
Description
本出願は、2016年2月23日出願の日本出願特願2016-031998号に基づく優先権を主張し、前記日本出願に記載された全ての記載内容を援用するものである。
前記光ファイバ心線の外径寸法が0.22mm以下であり、かつ、隣り合う前記光ファイバ心線の中心間距離が0.20±0.03mmである。
前記複数の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線は、前記チューブに覆われている。
前記複数の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線は、前記スロット溝にそれぞれ収納されている。
前記間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線は、前記外被に覆われている。
前記光ファイバ心線を複数本並列し、当該光ファイバ心線の表面に識別用のマーキングを塗布する工程と、
前記並列した複数本の光ファイバ心線に前記接着樹脂を塗布する工程と、
塗布した前記接着樹脂を平滑化させる平滑化工程と、
前記接着樹脂を硬化させて前記連結部を設ける工程と、
前記樹脂塗布面の反対側の面から、一部または全ての前記光ファイバ心線間に、長手方向に間欠的にスリットを入れることで前記非連結部を設ける工程と、
を含む。
光ファイバケーブルや光ファイバコードに格納する光ファイバテープ心線として、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線を使用すると、中間分岐時に所望の光ファイバ心線を取り出す作業を容易にすることができる。
上記のような、中間分岐時の作業性が良い間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線を格納した光ファイバケーブルや光ファイバコードを高密度化するために、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線に用いる光ファイバ心線の外径を通常の250μm(0.25mm)から220μm(0.22mm)以下にすることが検討されている(例えば、特許文献1)。
ところが、特許文献1に記載された間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線は、各光ファイバ心線間に接着樹脂が存在するため、光ファイバケーブルや光ファイバコード内の空間面積を減らし、十分に光ファイバケーブルや光ファイバコードを高密度化することができない。
そこで、本開示の目的は、光ファイバケーブルおよび光ファイバコードを高密度化できる間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線、当該間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線を使用した光ファイバケーブルおよび光ファイバコードを提供することにある。
本開示によれば、光ファイバケーブルおよび光ファイバコードを高密度化できる間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線、当該間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線を使用した光ファイバケーブルおよび光ファイバコードを提供できる。
最初に本発明の実施形態を列記して説明する。
本発明の実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線は、
(1) 並列に配置された状態の複数の光ファイバ心線の少なくとも一部が互いに接触し、一部、または全ての前記光ファイバ心線間において、隣接する光ファイバ心線間が接着樹脂で連結された連結部と、隣接する光ファイバ心線間が前記接着樹脂で連結されていない非連結部とが長手方向に間欠的に設けられている間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線であって、
前記光ファイバ心線の外径寸法が0.22mm以下であり、かつ、隣り合う前記光ファイバ心線の中心間距離が0.20±0.03mmである。
間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線の厚みを0.26mm以下に抑えることにより、光ファイバケーブルや光ファイバコードを高密度化することができる。
接着樹脂上と光ファイバ心線上の少なくとも一方にマーキングが施されているので、中間分岐時に間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線を容易に識別できる。
前記二層の被覆層のうち、内側の被覆層のヤング率が0.5MPa以下である。
光ファイバ心線の内側の被覆層のヤング率が0.5MPa以下であるので、光ファイバ心線の被覆層の厚さが薄くなることによる側圧特性の悪化を抑制することができる。
接着樹脂が塗布された箇所が、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線の片面のみであるので、接着樹脂による連結部の断面積を小さく抑えることができる。
(6) 円筒型のチューブと、上記(1)から(5)のいずれか一に記載の複数の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線とを有し、
前記複数の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線は、前記チューブに覆われている。
(7) 複数のスロット溝を有するスロットロッドと、上記(1)から(5)のいずれか一に記載の複数の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線と、を有し、
前記複数の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線は、前記スロット溝にそれぞれ収納されている。
上記(6)、(7)の光ファイバケーブルは、上記(1)から(5)のいずれか一に記載の複数の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線を実装しているので、従来の光ファイバケーブルよりも高密度化することができる。また、同じ心数であれば、その外径を従来の光ファイバケーブルよりも小さくすることができる。
(8) 外被と、上記(1)から(5)のいずれか一に記載の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線と、を有し、
前記間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線は、前記外被に覆われている。
上記の光ファイバコードの外径を従来よりも小さくすることができる。また、光ファイバコードを従来よりも高密度化することができる。
(9) 上記(1)から(5)のいずれか一に記載の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線を製造する間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線の製造方法であって、
前記光ファイバ心線を複数本並列し、当該光ファイバ心線の表面に識別用のマーキングを塗布する工程と、
前記並列した複数本の光ファイバ心線に前記接着樹脂を塗布する工程と、
塗布した前記接着樹脂を平滑化させる平滑化工程と、
前記接着樹脂を硬化させて前記連結部を設ける工程と、
前記樹脂塗布面の反対側の面から、一部または全ての前記光ファイバ心線間に、長手方向に間欠的にスリットを入れることで前記非連結部を設ける工程と、
を含む。
接着樹脂を塗布する際に接着樹脂が盛り上がったりムラができたりしても、容易に表面を平滑化することができる。
本発明の実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線、光ファイバケーブルおよび光ファイバコードの具体例を、以下に図面を参照しつつ説明する。
なお、本発明はこれらの例示に限定されるものではなく、請求の範囲によって示され、請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれることが意図される。
まず、第一実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線について図を参照しつつ説明する。図1Aは、第一実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線の一例を示す断面図である。図1Bは、第一実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線の一例を示す平面図であり、非連結部を並列方向に広げた状態を示す図である。
なお、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10を複数使用した光ファイバケーブルにおける中間分岐時に、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10を容易に識別できるように、接着樹脂3上と光ファイバ心線11A~11L上の少なくとも一方にマーキングを施してもよい。なお、接着樹脂3上にマーキングがあると、光ファイバコードや光ファイケーブルに光ファイバ心線11A~11Lを実装する際に、摩擦等でマーキングが消失する可能性がある。このため、マーキングは、光ファイバ心線11A~11L上に施されていることが好ましい。
次に、第二実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線について図を参照しつつ説明する。図2Aは、第二実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線の一例を示す断面図である。図2Bは、第二実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線の一例を示す平面図であり、非連結部を並列方向に広げた状態を示す図である。なお、第一実施形態の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10の構成と同様の箇所には同じ符号を付けてその説明を省略する。
以上の構造の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線においても、第1実施形態の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10の構成と同様、光ファイバ心線21A~21Lは、その外径寸法が0.22mm以下であり、隣り合う光ファイバ心線の中心間距離が0.20±0.03mmである。
第一,第二実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10,20の製造方法1における接着樹脂3の塗布方法について、図3を参照して、第一実施形態の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10に、接着樹脂3を塗布する一例をあげて説明する。
なお、接着樹脂8を吐出させるノズル7の組み合わせや吐出タイミング等の制御を変えれば、(複数の光ファイバ心線21A~21Lからなる)第二実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線20を製造することもできる。
次に、第一,第二実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10,20の製造方法2について、図4~図7を参照して説明する。図4は、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線の製造方法2で使用する製造装置の概略構成図である。図5は、光ファイバ心線を複数本並列し表面に識別用のマーキングを塗布した状態を示す模式図である。図6は、図4の製造装置におけるダイス状の摺り切り部材を説明する模式図である。図7は、図4の製造装置におけるスリット加工部を説明する模式図である。
光ファイバコード30は、図8に示すように、外被31と、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10(20)とを有している。そして、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10(20)は、例えば円筒状の外被31に覆われている。また、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10(20)は、ケブラーなどによる介在32で束ねられていてもよい。
これにより、第一実施形態および第二実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10(20)は、従来の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線よりも断面積を減らすことができる。
次に、実施例と比較例1、2について説明する。
比較例1の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線100は、図11に示すように、外径が0.25mmの光ファイバ心線110を互いに接触して並列に配置し、その周囲に接着樹脂103を塗布した構造である。間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線100の心線間ピッチPは0.25mmであり、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線100の幅Wは3.04mmである。なお、光ファイバ心線110の構造は、ガラスファイバ101とガラスファイバ101を被覆する二層の被覆層102a(内側の被覆層),102b(外側の被覆層)を有する単心の被覆光ファイバである。
間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線100を、簡易的に光ファイバ心線の集合体として近似し、集合体の厚みB(外径A)を0.285mmとすると、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線100の断面積は0.765mm2となる。
比較例2の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線200は、図12に示すように、外径が0.20mmの光ファイバ心線のそれぞれの周囲に接着樹脂203を塗布してから並列に配置し、心線間ピッチPを0.25mmとする構造である。間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線200の幅Wは3.00mmである。なお、光ファイバ心線210の構造は、ガラスファイバ201とガラスファイバ201を被覆する二層の被覆層202a(内側の被覆層),202b(外側の被覆層)を有する単心の被覆光ファイバである。
間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線200を簡易的に、光ファイバ心線の集合体として近似し、集合体の厚みB(外径A)を0.25mmとすると、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線200の断面積は0.589mm2となり、断面積比で比較例1に対し、約23%の低減率である。
実施例の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線は、図1Aおよび図1Bで示した第一実施形態の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10において、光ファイバ心線11A~11Lの外径Aを0.20mmとし、心線間ピッチPを0.20mmとしたものである。このとき、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10の幅は2.40mmである。
実施例の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10は、接着樹脂3の断面形状を簡易的に二等辺三角形で近似すると、その断面積は0.437mm2となる。断面積比で比較例1に対し、約43%の低減率である。
このように、光ファイバ心線の外径が同じサイズであっても、第一実施形態の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線10の構造とする実施例は、従来の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線である比較例2よりも断面積を減らすことができる。なお、実施例の構造を、図2Aおよび図2Bで示した第二実施形態に係る間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線20の構造としても、断面積は約0.457mm2であり、比較例2よりも断面積を減らすことができる。

- 並列に配置された状態の複数の光ファイバ心線の少なくとも一部が互いに接触し、一部、または全ての前記光ファイバ心線間において、隣接する光ファイバ心線間が接着樹脂で連結された連結部と、隣接する光ファイバ心線間が前記接着樹脂で連結されていない非連結部とが長手方向に間欠的に設けられている間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線であって、
前記光ファイバ心線の外径寸法が0.22mm以下であり、かつ、隣り合う前記光ファイバ心線の中心間距離が0.20±0.03mmである、間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線。 - 前記間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線の厚みが0.26mm以下である、請求項1に記載の間欠連結型光ファイバテープ心線。
