To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM K. BENEDICT, of the city and county of New York, in the State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Exterior of a House, of which the following is aspecification, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

Figure 1 represents a perspective view of a house showing my design. Fig. 2 represents a horizontal section or plan of the first story. Fig. 3 represents a horizontal section or plan of the second story.

Similar letters of reference designate corresponding parts,in all the figures.

A house of this design consists of two stories with an attic third story within a gable roof, and has a rearwardly-projecting wing or extension with an entrance-porch at one corner and surmounted partly by a gable roof and partly by a slanting or shed roof, an octagonal bay to the first and second stories in the front, a curved bay to the first story, a flatfaced projecting portion to the second story, and an attic contained in a hip roof projecting from the main gablea-oof on one side thereof, a projecting flat-faced portion to the first and second stories on the opposite side thereof, and a veranda extending along the front thereof and partially along one side, where it is covered by a slanting roof extending from the main gable roof, all as hereinafter more particularly described with reference to the drawings.

A B 0 design ate the exterior of the first and second stories and atticnvhich are partly comprised in an extension or wing D at the rear, said wing being partially covered by a gable roof (I, branching from the main gable root E, and partially by a slanting or shed roof c.

The front of the house has an octagonal bay F to the first and second stories. One side of the house has a curved hay G to the first story and a flat-faced projecting portion II to the second story, at one corner of which is a balcony g, the whole being surmounted by a curb roof h, branching from the main gable roof E. On the opposite side of the house is a fiatfaced projecting portion I from the first and second stories. At the front of the house the first story has a veranda J, which also extends along for some distance on one side thereof, where it is covered by a slanting or shed roofj, which is an extension of one side of the gable roof E. At one corner of the wing D is a rear-entrance porch c.
