DESIGN FOR THE EXTERIOR OF A HOUSE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,092, dated August 12, 1890.
Application filed July 15, 1890. Serial No. 358,844 Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known thatI, AUGUSTUS BROWN MORL SON, of Jersey City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and 5 produced a new and original Design for the Exterior of a House, of which the following is a specification, reference heing had to the aecoinpanyin g drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 represents a perspeetive view of a house showing my design. Fig. 2 represents ahorizontal section or plan of the first story. Fig. 3 represents a horizontal section or plan of the second story.
Similar letters of reference designate corsponding parts in all the figures.
A house of this design consists of two stories with an attic third story within a gable roof, and a wing or L extension of two stories surzo mounted by a gable roof, the front of the house having a veranda covered by a shed roof at the first story, one side of the house having a projecting portion in the first and second stories and surmounted by a gable roof a 5 branching from the main roof, and a second veranda running along one side of the first floor of the wing or extension and having a hip root, all as hereinafter more particularly described in detail with reference to the drawings.
A B C designate the exterior of the first and second stories and attic, which atone side are partly comprised in a projecting portion D, the whole heing surmounted by a gable roof E F. The first story in the front has a veranda G with a shed roof g. At the rear there is a wing or L extension 11, two stories high and surmounted bya gable roof h, at the rear of which wing there is a further projecting portion I to the first story, having a hip roof 1'. Extending along one side of the wing at the first story is a second veranda .T, having ahip roofj.
\Vhat I claim as my design is- The design for the exterior of a house, substantially as herein shown and described.
