(57)【要約】 【目的】 タイマー予約設定を容易に行うことができる
ようにする。 【構成】 リモコン１１で希望の番組のジャンルコード
を入力する。このコードがリモコン受光分１２で受光さ
れ、登録メモリー１５に記憶される。スライサー２１に
より、テレビジョン放送信号中のジャンルコードが抜き
出される。マイクロコンピュータ１３では、登録メモリ
ー１５に記憶されたジャンルコードとスライサー２１に
より抜き出されたジャンルコードとが比較される。この
比較の結果、ジャンルコードが一致したチャンネルが選
局される。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、例えばテレビジョン
のタイマー予約や番組選局を容易に行うことができるテ
レビ放送の選局方法及び選局装置に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】複数のテレビジョン放送局から送信され
る複数のチャンネルのテレビジョン信号を選局する選局
装置が広く用いられている。チャンネルの選局は、例え
ば、ユーザが各テレビジョン信号の内容を見たり、テレ
ビジョン放送番組を紹介するガイドブックや新聞等に掲
載される番組表等をユーザが参照することにより行われ
る。
【０００３】テレビジョン信号のチャンネル数の増加に
伴い、各チャンネルのテレビジョン信号の情報内容は多
様化する傾向にある。このため、番組表を用いて所望の
番組を放送するチャンネルを選局する場合、所望の番組
を探し出す作業が面倒なものとなってしまう。また、番
組表を用いないで所望の番組を選択する場合、受信チャ
ンネルを切り換えていく作業がチャンネル数の増加に伴
って時間のかかるものとなってしまう。
【０００４】ところで、ユーザは、所望の番組を見終わ
るとテレビジョン受信機をオフする。この時、テレビジ
ョン受信機内の選局装置やＣＰＵ等には、電源オフ直前
にユーザが視聴していたチャンネルが記憶される。この
ため、次に電源をオンすると、このチャンネルが自動的
に選局されるようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】上述のような選局装置
が搭載されたテレビジョン受信機において、ユーザが見
る番組は、大抵同じものであり、同じ曜日及び時間帯で
視聴されることが多い。このことから、テレビジョン受
信機をオンすると同時に、ユーザの所望のチャンネルが
自動的に選局されると大変便利となる。
【０００６】また、所望の番組を予約して受信する場合
（タイマー予約）には、上述のように番組数が多いの
で、タイマー予約の設定が難しいものとされている。ま
た、番組コード等を用いてタイマー予約する場合にも、
新聞や雑誌に掲載されている番組コードを入力するの
で、必ず新聞や雑誌が必要となる。更に、最初のチャン
ネルプリセット設定や実際のコード設定も数字の桁数が
多く操作に慣れていない人にとっては難しいものとなっ
ている。
【０００７】従って、この発明の目的は、ユーザーから
のジャンル指定に応じて、自動的に選局を行うと共に、
指定したジャンルが複数存在する時には過去に受信した
頻度に基づいて自動選局することができるテレビ放送の
選局方法及び選局装置を提供することにある。
【０００８】また、この発明の他の目的は、番組表等を
参照することなく、容易にタイマー予約設定を行うこと
ができるテレビ放送の選局方法及び選局装置を提供する
ことにある。
【０００９】
【課題を解決するための手段】この発明は、テレビジョ
ン放送信号を受信して、所望のチャンネルを選曲するテ
レビ放送受信機の選局方法において、希望の番組の第１
のジャンルコードを入力し、テレビジョン放送信号中に
含まれる第２のジャンルコードを抜き出し、第１のジャ
ンルコードと第２のジャンルコードとの比較を受信可能
な全てのチャンネルについて行い、第１のジャンルコー
ドに該当する番組が複数のチャンネルで放送中である場
合には、過去の受信履歴で頻度の高いチャンネルを優先
して選局するようにしたことを特徴とする選局方法であ
る。
【００１０】また、この発明は、テレビジョン放送信号
を受信して、所望のチャンネルを選局する選局装置にお
いて、番組のジャンルが登録された複数のボタンを有す
るリモートコントローラーと、リモートコントローラー
からの制御信号を受光する受光部と、制御信号に対応す
る第１のジャンルコードを記憶する登録メモリーと、少
なくともテレビジョン信号中に含まれる第２のジャンル
コードを抜き出す手段と、第１のジャンルコードと第２
のジャンルコードとを比較する手段とを有し、比較手段
で一致したチャンネルを選局するようにしたことを特徴
とする選局装置である。

【作用】リモートコントローラー１１のジャンルボタン
が押されると、スライサー２１により各チャンネルのＥ
ＤＳデータがマイコン１３で読まれる。そして、マイコ
ン１３により、押されたジャンルボタンのジャンルに属
する、現在放送中の番組がＣＲＴ２４に表示される。ま
た、そのジャンルに属する番組が現在放送されていない
場合には、そのジャンルに属する将来放送される番組の
開始時間情報がＣＲＴ２４に表示される。更に、頻度メ
モリー１９に曜日、時間帯、チャンネル毎の頻度データ
を記憶することにより、適切な自動選局を行うことがで
きる。

【実施例】以下、この発明による選局装置に関して図面
を参照して説明する。図１は、この発明による選局装置
が搭載されたテレビ放送受信機のブロック図である。図
１において、各放送局から送信されてきたテレビジョン
信号は、アンテナ１により受信され、チューナ２に供給
される。各テレビジョン信号における垂直ブランキング
期間の２フィールド２１ライン目を用いて、ＥＤＳ（Ex
tended Data Service)データが伝送される。ＥＤＳデー
タには、例えば、現在放送中、及び将来放送される番組
の開始時間、経過時間、放送チャンネル、ジャンル情報
等のデータが含まれる。尚、ＥＤＳの伝送はアメリカで
行われているものであり、以下に説明する実施例はこの
ＥＤＳについて説明するが、当然これに限定されるもの
ではない。
【００１３】チューナ２では、マイコン１３から供給さ
れる選局制御信号により、所望のチャンネルのテレビジ
ョン信号が選局される。選局されたチャンネルのテレビ
ジョン信号は、映像中間周波増幅回路３で映像中間周波
信号に変換され、映像検波回路４にて復調されてビデオ
信号とされる。映像検波回路４から出力されるビデオ信
号は映像信号処理回路５に供給される。映像信号処理回
路５に供給されたビデオ信号は、輝度信号成分と色差信
号成分とに分離される。これと共に、分離された各信号
成分に対して所定の処理が施される。その後、図示しな
いマトリクス回路によりＲ，Ｇ，Ｂの３原色信号が形成
されて映像信号処理回路５からスイッチ６を介してＣＲ
Ｔ２４に出力される。
【００１４】映像中間周波増幅回路３では、映像中間周
波数信号から分離された音声中間周波数信号が得られ
る。この音声中間周波数信号は、音声検波回路７におい
て復調された後、音声中間周波数増幅回路８で増幅され
る。音声信号処理回路９で所定の処理がなされた音声信
号は、スピーカ１０から出力される。
【００１５】映像検波回路４にはスライサー２１が接続
され、スライサー２１の出力はデコーダ２２及びマイコ
ン１３に送られる。このマイコン１３にはキャラクタジ
ェネレータ２０が接続されており、マイコン１３は適宜
スイッチ２３を制御してデコーダ２２から出力されるＥ
ＤＳ情報とキャラクタジェネレータ２０から出力される
文字情報とを選択的に切り換えてスイッチ回路６へ供給
し、ＣＲＴ２４の管面表示を制御する。また、マイコン
１３にはリモートコントローラー（以下、リモコンとす
る）１１からの赤外線信号を受光するリモコン受光部１
２と、タイマー予約のための時計１６と、タイマー予約
中であることを示すＬＥＤ１８とが接続されており、リ
モコンによるユーザーから指定される操作やタイマー動
作を管理・制御する。
【００１６】更に、マイコン１３には予約メモリー１
４、登録メモリー１５及び頻度メモリー１９が接続され
ている。予約メモリー１４、登録メモリー１５及び頻度
メモリー１９は、不揮発性メモリから構成される。予約
メモリーはタイマー予約情報を記憶するものであり、登
録メモリーはリモコンのボタンとジャンルとの対応関係
を記憶するものであり、頻度メモリーはユーザーが視聴
した履歴情報を記憶するものである。詳しくは本出願人
が既に出願した特願平４−４０６６３号（平成４年１月
３１日出願）を参照されたい。
【００１７】図２は、リモコン１１の正面図である。３
１は、テレビ放送受信機の電源をオン／オフするための
電源ボタンである。３２は、チャンネルボタンであり、
チャンネルボタン３２を押すことにより、所望のチャン
ネルが選択される。３３は、ジャンルボタンである。ジ
ャンルボタン３３は、所望のジャンルに属する番組を選
局する場合に用いられるものである。例えば、「ニュー
ス」のジャンルボタンを押すと、ニュースに関する番組
のみが選択され、その番組の画像またはデコードされた
ＥＤＳデータがＣＲＴ２４に表示される。尚、ジャンル
ボタン３３に設けられているジャンル予備ボタン（予備
１、予備２）に関しては後述する。３４Ａは、チャンネ
ルアップダウンボタンであり、「＋」側を押すと１チャ
ンネル毎にアップ、「−」側を押すと１チャンネル毎に
ダウンされる。３４Ｂは、ボリュームボタンであり、
「＋」側を押すとボリュームが大きくなり、「−」側を
押すとボリュームが小さくなる。
【００１８】３５は、タイマー予約ボタンである。タイ
マー予約ボタン３５は、タイマー予約設定を行う時に用
いられる。３６は、登録ボタンである。登録ボタン３６
は、ジャンル予備ボタンにジャンルを設定する場合に用
いられる。３７は、カーソルボタンである。カーソルボ
タン３７は、登録ボタン３６と共に、ジャンル予備ボタ
ンにジャンルを設定する場合に用いられる。３８は、決
定ボタンである。決定ボタン３８は、登録ボタン３６、
カーソルボタン３７で選択された新たなジャンルやタイ
マー予約ボタン３５によりなされたタイマー予約を確定
する場合に用いられる。ディスプレイボタン３８はＥＤ
Ｓで送られてきた情報をＣＲＴ２４に表示するためのボ
タンであり詳しくは後述する。
【００１９】次にジャンル指定による選局動作について
図１、２、５、６を用いて説明する。図６と図７は、ジ
ャンル指定による選局及びタイマー予約設定を行う時の
マイコン１３の動作を示すフローチャートである。まず
テレビ放送受信機の電源がオンとなったことがマイコン
１３で検出され（ステップ４１）、一週間前の略々同じ
時間帯に頻繁に受信していたチャンネルが頻度メモリー
１９から読み出され、自動的に選局される（ステップ４
２、４３）。これにより、頻度データに基づいたチャン
ネルの選局が行われる。従って、テレビ放送受信機がオ
ンされると同時に、過去によく受信をしていたチャンネ
ルが自動選局される。
【００２０】その後、最初に選局したチャンネルがユー
ザーの所望とする番組内容でない場合には、ユーザーは
ダイレクト選局（チャンネル番号を直接リモコンで入力
して選局を行う方法）、チャンネルアップダウンボタン
３４Ａを使った選局、またはジャンルを指定した選局の
いずれかにより選局を行うこととなる。ダイレクト選局
及びチャンネルアップダウンボタンに関しては従来と同
じなのでここでの説明は省略する。
【００２１】上記３種類の選局方法のうち、ジャンル指
定による選局が行われたとする。例えば「スポーツ」と
いうジャンルボタン（図２参照）が押されると（ステッ
プ４４）、検波回路４に接続されているスライサー２１
により、現在のチャンネルに関するＥＤＳデータが抜き
出される。スライサー２１で抜き出されたＥＤＳデータ
は、マイコン１３に一時的に記憶される。全てのチャン
ネルに対してこの処理が順次行われる（ステップ４
５）。マイコン１３では、各チャンネルのＥＤＳデータ
に基づいて、ジャンルボタンで指定されたジャンルの番
組を放送しているか否かが判別される（ステップ４
６）。そして、リモコンのジャンルボタンで指定された
ジャンルに属した番組が１チャンネルのみで放送されて
いるとマイコン１３で判別された時には（ステップ４
７）、チューナ２に対する選局制御信号を切り換えて、
指定したジャンルの番組がＣＲＴ２４に出力される（ス
テップ４８）。
【００２２】一方、ユーザにより選択されたジャンルの
番組が複数ある場合には（ステップ４７）、図３に示す
ようにＣＲＴ２４の画面上面に示されるようなメッセー
ジ（ＯＴＨＥＲ）が表示される。この「ＯＴＨＥＲ」と
いうメッセージは、マイコン１３に接続されたキャラク
タジェネレータ２０により発生され、スイッチ６がマイ
コン１３で切り換えられることにより、ＣＲＴ２４上に
表示される。このメッセージにより、ユーザは、他のチ
ャンネルでもスポーツ番組が放送されていることを認識
できる。このメッセージは所定時間後に自動的に消去さ
れる。複数のスポーツ番組が放送されている場合、ＣＲ
Ｔ２４に映し出される番組は、マイコン１３に接続され
ている頻度メモリー１９の内容がチェックされ（ステッ
プ４９）、一番頻度の高いチャンネルが選局される（ス
テップ５０）。頻度メモリー１９には、過去に受信した
番組の頻度データが、曜日、時間帯別に記憶されてい
る。また、最初に映し出されたスポーツ番組が所望の番
組では無い時には、例えば同じジャンルボタン（この場
合は「スポーツ」）が再び押される（ステップ５１）こ
とにより２番目に頻度の高いスポーツ番組が選局され
る。指定されたジャンルに属する番組が例えば３つのチ
ャンネルで放送されていれば、この動作は２回まで繰り
返すことができるステップ５２、５３）。尚、このチャ
ンネル切り換えは上記メッセージが表示されている期間
のみである。また、頻度メモリー１９に記憶される頻度
データは、例えば１０分以上選局していた時にのみ更新
される。
【００２３】また、リモコン１１のジャンルボタン（例
えばスポーツ）が押された時に、スポーツ番組が放送さ
れていない場合には、数時間以内にスポーツ番組が放送
されるか否かが判別される（ステップ５４）。この判別
は、マイコン１３が各チャンネルのＥＤＳデータを読み
取って記憶していたデータに基づいて行われる。ＥＤＳ
では、数時間後までの番組放送予定情報も同時に伝送し
てくる。数時間以内にスポーツ番組が放送されないと判
別された時には指定されたジャンルの放送予定はないこ
とを示すメッセージが表示される（ステップ５５）。
【００２４】また、数時間以内にスポーツ番組が放送さ
れると判別した場合には、マイコン１３で判別されたＥ
ＤＳデータがデコーダ２２に供給されてデコードされ
る。これと共に、マイコン１３によりデコードオン／オ
フスイッチ２３がオンされて、データが加算器２５に供
給される。加算器２５から出力されるデータは、スイッ
チ６を介してＣＲＴ２４から出力される。この場合にＣ
ＲＴ２４に表示される画面の例が図４に示される。図４
から分かるように、ＣＲＴ２４には、ユーザが選択した
ジャンルの番組が１つしかない場合には、その番組が何
分後（または何時間後）に始まるかが表示される（ステ
ップ５７）。選択したジャンルの番組が複数のチャンネ
ルで放送予定である時には（ステップ５６）、頻度メモ
リー１９の内容がチェックされ（ステップ６５）、頻度
の高いチャンネルから同じジャンルボタンが押される毎
に最後のチャンネルまで順番に表示がなされる（ステッ
プ６６、６８）。そして、見たい番組が見つかったら、
タイマー予約ボタン６６を押すことにより後述のタイマ
ー予約設定がなされる（ステップ６７）。尚、ここでは
ＥＤＳで送られてきたデータをデコードしてＣＲＴ２４
に表示するようにしたが、マイコンがＥＤＳのデータを
読み込んでキャラクタジェネレータに図４のようなメッ
セージを表示するようにしても良い。
【００２５】次にタイマー予約の設定について図５及び
図６を参照して説明する。上記ジャンルを指定した選局
動作を行った時に、その時間帯には指定したジャンルの
番組は放送していなく、数時間以内に指定したジャンル
の番組が放送予定であった場合にタイマー予約設定は行
われる。この場合には、上述のように選択したジャンル
の番組が何分後（または何時間後）に始まるかが表示さ
れており（ステップ５７）、この番組をタイマー予約す
るかどうかが判断される（ステップ５８）。表示された
放送予定の番組をタイマー予約する場合には、リモコン
のタイマー予約ボタン３５がユーザーにより押される。
これにより、予約メモリー１４に放送開始時間と放送終
了時間とチャンネル番号が記憶されて（ステップ５
９）、タイマー予約完了状態となる。そしてテレビ放送
受信機に設けられ、タイマー予約状態であることを示す
ＬＥＤ１８が点灯してスタンバイ状態となる（ステップ
６０）。その後、予約メモリー１４に記憶された放送開
始時間と時計１６の時刻とが比較され（ステップ６
１）、一致したら電源をオンにすると共に記憶されてい
たチャンネルが選局される（ステップ６２）。そして、
記憶された放送終了時間と時計１６との時刻が比較され
（ステップ６３）、一致したら電源がオフされる（ステ
ップ６４）。
【００２６】指定したジャンルの番組が複数チャンネル
で放送予定であった場合には、上述のように頻度メモリ
ー１９がチェックされ（ステップ６５）、まず頻度の一
番高いチャンネルの放送予定が表示される（ステップ６
６）。この場合にも、図４のようにメッセージが表示さ
れ、他のチャンネルでも指定したジャンルの番組が放送
予定であることをユーザーに知らせる。そしてユーザー
は最初に押したジャンルボタンを押す度に頻度の低いチ
ャンネルの放送予定が表示される。その途中でタイマー
予約したい番組が見つかったらば、タイマー予約ボタン
３５を押すことにより（ステップ６７）、予約メモリー
１４に番組開始時間と放送終了時間とチャンネル番号が
記憶されて（ステップ５９）、タイマー予約完了状態と
なる。これ以降の動作は上述の通りである。タイマー予
約しない場合には、頻度の一番低いチャンネルの放送予
定が表示されたか否かがステップ６８で判断される。頻
度の一番低いものが表示されると、処理は終了とされ
る。一方、更に頻度の低いものがある場合には、ステッ
プ６６からの処理が繰り返される。
【００２７】上述の説明では放送予定の番組の中に指定
したジャンルの番組があり、ユーザーがこれをタイマー
予約するかどうかを判別するようにしたが、自動的にタ
イマー予約を行うようにしても良い。また、上述の説明
では時計１６を用いて予約メモリー１４に記憶された番
組開始時間と番組終了時間を比較するように説明した
が、データと共に送信されてくる時刻情報と比較しても
良い。更に、番組変更により放送時間がずれた場合に
は、予約メモリー１４に記憶されていた番組開始時間に
電源をオンとし、現在放送中の番組のジャンルと予約メ
モリー１４に記憶されているジャンルとを比較すること
で放送時間が変更になったことを認識することができ、
この場合には番組放送時間に変更があることを示すメッ
セージを表示しても良い。更に、予約メモリー１４に記
憶されている番組開始時刻になったら、記憶している番
組のジャンルと現在放送中の番組のジャンルとを比較
し、一致していれば電源をオンとし、もし一致していな
ければ一致するまで比較を続け、一致した時に電源をオ
ンにする。これにより番組変更があった場合でもきちん
と指定した番組を見ることができる。
【００２８】尚、上述の説明では、リモコン１１のジャ
ンルボタンが操作された時にＥＤＳデータを読み取る構
成としたが、マイコン１３にＥＤＳデータメモリー１７
を設けるようにしても良い。この場合には、テレビ放送
受信機がスタンバイ状態である時に、常に各チャンネル
のＥＤＳデータがマイコン１３で読み取られ、ＥＤＳデ
ータメモリー１７に記憶される。これにより、テレビ放
送受信機がオンされた時に、各チャンネルのＥＤＳデー
タをすぐに読み出すことができる。
【００２９】以下、ジャンル予備ボタンに新たなジャン
ルを登録する方法について図７及び図８を用いて説明す
る。図７は、ＣＲＴ２４に表示されるその時のジャンル
登録画面である。図８は、新たなジャンルをリモコンに
登録する動作を示すフローチャートである。
【００３０】図８において、登録ボタン３６がオンされ
ると（ステップ８１）、ジャンル登録画面（図７参照）
のメインメニュー画面７１がＣＲＴ２４に表示される
（ステップ８２）。ユーザーはジャンルボタン３３また
はカーソルボタン３７によりカーソル７３を移動し、決
定ボタン３８を押すことにより、メインメニュー画面７
１に表示されたジャンル（ジャンル１〜ジャンル９）の
うちの１つを選択することができる（ここでは例えばス
ポーツ（ジャンル６）が選択されたとする）。ステップ
８３では、特定のジャンルが選択されたか否かが判断さ
れる。
【００３１】１つのジャンルが選択されるとＣＲＴ２４
にはサブメニュー７２が表示される。これと共に、メイ
ンメニュー画面のカーソル７３は、サブメニュー画面７
２内にカーソル７４として移される（ステップ８４）。
サブメニュー７２には、登録されていないジャンル名が
表示される。ユーザーは上述の選択方法と同じようにサ
ブメニューのうちのジャンルを１つ選択する（ステップ
８５）。
【００３２】サブメニューのうちの１つのジャンル（例
えばテニス）が選択されると、先程選択したメインメニ
ューのジャンル６には「テニス」と表示される（ステッ
プ８６）。ステップ８７では、決定ボタン３８が押され
たか否かが判断される。決定ボタン３８が所定時間内に
押されない場合には、メインメニューの「テニス」とい
う表示が消され、カーソル７３がカーソル７４としてサ
ブメニュー７２に移される（ステップ８４）。また、決
定ボタン３８が押されれば、登録メモリー１５に記憶さ
れた情報が更新される（ステップ８８）。この登録メモ
リー１５は、リモコン１１から受けたコード信号とジャ
ンルとの対応関係を記憶するものである。
【００３３】次に、番組のタイトル名をジャンルとして
登録する動作について図９、図１０を用いて説明する。
尚、タイトル名を登録する場合には、上述の図７の画面
を表示し、画面右上の「タイトル入力」アイコン７５に
カーソル７３を移動し、そこで決定ボタン３８を押すこ
とにより図１０に示すタイトル入力画面が表示される
（ステップ９２、９３）。ユーザーはタイトル入力画面
を用いて文字を入力していく（ステップ９４）。入力さ
れた文字はタイトル名として画面上方に表示される（ス
テップ９５）。そして、すべての文字が入力されたらば
画面下方の「終了」アイコンにカーソル１００を移動し
て決定ボタン３８を押す。これにより、タイトル入力は
終了したことになる（ステップ９６）。タイトル入力が
終了すると登録メモリー１５のデータが更新される。
【００３４】尚、登録した番組タイトルを表示したい時
には、リモコン１１のディスプレイボタン３９を２回押
すことで登録したタイトル一覧を表示することができ
る。尚、ジャンルボタンにタイトル名が登録されている
場合には、ＥＤＳで送られてくる番組タイトル名とを比
較して一致するチャンネルを選局することになる。ま
た、現在放送中の番組に該当する番組タイトルのものが
放送されていない場合には、数時間以内に放送予定の番
組とも比較し、もし該当する番組が存在するば上述のよ
うにタイマー予約を行うことも可能である。また、タイ
トルは登録メモリー１５の容量の都合上あまり長いタイ
トルは入力できない。このため、例えばタイトルの先頭
８文字を登録し、放送中または放送予定で送られてくる
タイトルとの前方一致により指定したタイトルに該当す
るか否かを判別するようにする。
【００３５】上述の説明ではＥＤＳというフォーマット
を用いて、ジャンルを指定した選局やタイマー予約につ
いて説明したが、これに限ることはなく、どのようなフ
ォーマットであっても、現在放送している番組及び将来
放送予定の番組のジャンルコード、タイトル名、番組開
始時間等の情報が伝送されてくれば上述のような選局・
タイマー予約は可能である。例えば文字多重放送やテレ
テキストを用いても可能である。
【００３６】上述の説明のテレビ放送受信機とは、テレ
ビ放送を受信できる電子機器全てを意味し、ビデオテー
プレコーダ等も含むものである。また、上述のようなタ
イマー予約はビデオテープレコーダのタイマー録画予約
の設定にも同じように応用可能である。

【発明の効果】この発明に依れば、所望の番組内容のキ
ーを押すだけで、選局やタイマー予約を行うことができ
る。また、後から番組内容のジャンルを登録すことがで
きると共に、番組タイトルによる選局やタイマー予約も
できるので、ジャンル指定の場合よりも希望の番組を特
定した選局やタイマー予約を行うことができる。さら
に、頻度メモリーを用いることにより、過去の受信履歴
に応じた選局を行うことができるので、より希望の番組
の選局やタイマー予約の設定を行い易くなる。

Claims (10)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 テレビジョン放送信号を受信して、所望
    のチャンネルを選曲するテレビ放送受信機の選局方法に
    おいて、 希望の番組の第１のジャンルコードを入力し、 上記テレビジョン放送信号中に含まれる第２のジャンル
    コードを抜き出し、 上記第１のジャンルコードと上記第２のジャンルコード
    との比較を受信可能な全てのチャンネルについて行い、 上記第１のジャンルコードに該当する番組が複数のチャ
    ンネルで放送中である場合には、過去の受信履歴で頻度
    の高いチャンネルを優先して選局するようにしたことを
    特徴とする選局方法。
  2. 【請求項２】 上記ジャンルの入力は、リモートコント
    ローラーで行うことを特徴とする請求項１に記載の選局
    方法。
  3. 【請求項３】 上記比較の結果、上記第１のジャンルコ
    ードに該当する放送中の番組がない場合には、放送予定
    の番組との比較を行い、放送予定の番組に該当するもの
    があった場合には、放送予定情報を表示するようにした
    ことを特徴とする請求項１に記載の選局方法。
  4. 【請求項４】 上記比較の結果、上記第１のジャンルコ
    ードに該当する放送中の番組がない場合には、放送予定
    の番組との比較を行い、放送予定の番組に該当するもの
    があった場合には、該放送予定番組をタイマー予約する
    ようにしたことを特徴とする請求項１に記載の選局方
    法。
  5. 【請求項５】 テレビジョン放送信号を受信して、所望
    のチャンネルを選局する選局装置において、 番組のジャンルが登録された複数のボタンを有するリモ
    ートコントローラーと、 上記リモートコントローラーからの制御信号を受光する
    受光部と、 上記制御信号に対応する第１のジャンルコードを記憶す
    る登録メモリーと、 少なくともテレビジョン信号中に含まれる第２のジャン
    ルコードを抜き出す手段と、 上記第１のジャンルコードと上記第２のジャンルコード
    とを比較する手段とを有し、 上記比較手段で一致したチャンネルを選局するようにし
    たことを特徴とする選局装置。
  6. 【請求項６】 過去の受信履歴情報を記憶する頻度メモ
    リーを更に有し、上記比較手段による比較の結果、一致
    するチャンネルが複数存在する場合には、該頻度メモリ
    ー内に記憶されているデータを読み出し、一番受信頻度
    の高いチャンネルを選局するようにしたことを特徴とす
    る請求項５に記載の選局装置。
  7. 【請求項７】 上記比較手段による比較の結果、一致す
    るチャンネルが放送されていなく、かつ放送予定の番組
    が一致する場合には、少なくとも該放送予定の番組の開
    始時刻を内部または外部に接続された表示装置に表示さ
    せるようにしたことを特徴とする請求項５に記載の選局
    装置。
  8. 【請求項８】 上記比較手段による比較の結果、一致す
    るチャンネルが放送されていなく、かつ放送予定の番組
    が一致する場合には、該放送予定番組をタイマー予約す
    るようにしたことを特徴とする請求項５に記載の選局装
    置。
  9. 【請求項９】 上記登録メモリー内の情報を書き換える
    手段を更に有し、上記登録メモリー内の制御信号とジャ
    ンルとの対応関係を使用者が所望するものに登録できる
    ようにしたことを特徴とする請求項５に記載の選局装
    置。
  10. 【請求項１０】 番組名を入力する手段を更に有し、上
    記登録メモリー内に上記制御信号と番組名との対応を記
    憶させるようにしたことを特徴とする請求項９に記載の
    選局装置。
