Abstract

방송국에서 송출되는 방송을 프로그램별로 분류하여 사용자가 필요시 동종의 프로그램을 시청할 수 있도록 한 비디오 프로그램 시스템 기능을 이용한 동종 프로그램 채널 선택방법이 제공되는바, 이 방법은 수신되는 방송이 비디오 프로그램 시스템 방송인가를 판단하고 프로그램별 코드를 인식하여 이 코드에 따른 프로그램별 채널을 임의로 지정하여 두고, 필요시 해당 채널을 누르면 그 채널에서는 동종의 프로그램이 자동으로 방송 되므로 동종의 프로그램을 시청하기 위해 방송채널을 일일이 선국할 필요가 없는 것이다.

Description

동종 프로그램 채널 선택방법
제1도는 본 발명에 따른 비디오 프로그램 시스템 기능을 이용한 동종 프로그램 채널을 선택하기 위한 장치의 블록다이어그램.
제2도는 비디오 프로그램 시스템 데이타 파형도.

본 발명은 일반적으로 비디오 카세트 레코더의 동종 프로그램 채널 선택방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 비디오 프로그램 시스템 기능을 이용하여 뉴스나 운동경기와 같은 동일 프로그램을 임의의 채널에 지정하여 원하는 방송을 시청하기 위한 동종 프로그램 채널 선택방법에 관한 것이다.
현재 비디오 카세트 레코드는 비디오 프로그램 시스템(Video Program System ; VPS)를 채택하여 프로그램, 예컨대 텔레비젼 방송국에서 송출되는 뉴스, 오락 프로그램등을 예약녹화할 수 있도록 되어 있다.
그러나, 이러한 비디오 프로그램 시스템 기능을 이용한 예약녹화가 가능하지만, 현재 사용자는 직접 그에 따른 방송을 시청할 수는 없었다.
다시 말하면, 기존의 방송 채널 선택시 사용자가 뉴스만 시청하고 싶은데 이를 시청하기 위해서는 타채널도 스캔해야만 하고, 또는 중간중간에 광고등 원하지 않는 것도 끼어들 수 있으므로 사용자는 원하지 않는 방송을 청취해야만 한다.
또한, 사용자가 순수한 스포츠 경기를 시청하고자 할 경우 권투경기 등은 최종라운드인 12라운드중 3라운드에 종료될 수도 있는 바, 이 경우 사용자가 다른 운동경기를 시청하기 위해서는 다른 채널을 선택해야 하는데 이 경우에 어느시점에서 운동 경기가 있는지 예측이 불가능하므로 방송 선택에 어려움이 있었다.
따라서, 본 발명은 이러한 사정을 감안하여 방송국에서 송출되는 각종 프로그램을 일정한 종류로 분리하여 이를 임의의 채널에 각각 지정한 다음, 사용자가 해당 프로그램을 시청할 경우에 해당 채널을 누르면 동일한 프로그램을 시청할 수 있도록 한 동종 프로그램 채널 선택방법을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명은 방송국에서 송출되는 비디오 프로그램 시스템 방송을 예약녹화할 수 있는 비디오 카세트 레코더의 동종 프로그램 채널 선택 방법으로서, 이는 송출되는 방송에 포함된 각각의 프로그램별 코드를 판단하여 이 프로그램 코드가 없을 경우에는 일반적인 방송을 청취토록 하고, 프로그램 코드가 있을 경우에는 프로그램별로 다수의 채널을 각각 지정하고, 상기의 지정된 채널을 시청할 경우 해당 프로그램 채널 신호가 입력될 때에만 해당 프로그램 방송을 출력하되, 방송중인 프로그램이 종료되었을 경우 동종의 다른 프로그램 방송 채널을 자동으로 선국토록함을 특징으로 한 것이다.
이하, 본 발명을 첨부된 도면에 의거하여 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다.
제1도는 본 발명에 따른 동종 프로그램 채널 선택 방법을 위한 하드웨어 구성도인 바,
우선, 본 발명을 성취하기 위해서는 방송국에서는 각각의 방송 프로그램의 종류에 따른 프로그램 코드를 지정하여야 한다.
예컨대 오락 프로그램일 경우에는 A, 스포츠 방송일 경우에는 B, 연속극일 경우에는 C라는 언어를 비디오 신호에 코드 변환시켜 출력시키는 것이 바람직하다.
한편, 일반적인 비디오 프로그램 시스템을 위한 비디오 프로그램 시스템 데이타는 정상적인 타이머 예약 명령을 위한 시스템 스타트 코드와, 비디오 카세트 레코더의 녹화 모드를 일시 정지하기 위한 인터럽트 코드, 비디오 카세트 레코드에서의 예약 동작을 정지 또는 클리어 시키기 위한 블랭크 코드가 있는 바, 이러한 비디오 프로그램 시스템 데이타는 제2도의 (a)에 도시한 것과 같은 형상을 하고 있다.
또한, 제2도의 (b)에 도시한 바와 같이 일반적인 비디오 프로그램 시스템 데이타(VPS)를 출력하여 비디오 프로그램 시스템 기능이 수행된다는 것을 사전에 알려주게 되는 바, 이러한 것은 일반적인 사항이다.
다시, 제1도를 참조하면, 안테나(1)를 통해서 수신되는 텔레비젼 방송은 튜너(2)에서 선국되어 각각의 채널에 따른 방송을 청취할 수 있게 된다.
그런데, 방송국에서 송출되는 방송중에서 전술한 바와 같은 프로그램 코드가 있는 신호는 VPS 디코더를 포함하는 비디오 프로그램 시스템 IC(3)에서 선택적으로 감지되어 마이컴(4)에 제공된다.
이 때 마이컴(4)은 프로그램 코드별로 다수의 채널을 지정하면서 동종의 프로그램이 수신되는 채널을 선국하게 된다.
또한, 문자방송(TTX) 신호를 입력으로 하여 마이컴(4)은 텔레텍스트 IC(5)를 제어하여 채널 번호를 모니터(도시하지 않았음)에 표시할 수도 있다.
제3도는 본 발명에 따른 채널 선택방법을 실현하기 위한 제어 플로우챠트인 바, 우선 방송국으로부터 송출되는 방송이 입력되면 마이컴(4)은 입력되는 방송이 비디오 프로그램 시스템에 따른 방송 인지 또는 일반적인 방송인지를 VPS 디코더를 포함하는 비디오 프로그램 시스템 IC를 통하여 판단하여 수신되는 방송이 비디오 프로그램 시스템에 따른 방송이 아닐 경우 프로그램은 스텝(101)에서 스텝(102)으로 진행되어 정상적인 방송을 시청토록 한다.
그러나, 수신되는 방송이 비디오 프로그램 시스템 방송일 경우, 마이컴(4)은 프로그램별 코드가 있는가를 판단하여 프로그램 코드가 없을 경우에는 일반적인 비디오 프로그램 시스템 IC를 이용한 방송을 청취하도록 프로그램은 스텝(103)에서 스텝(104)으로 진행된다.
스텝(103)에서 판별한 결과 프로그램별 코드가 있을 경우 마이컴(4)은 이미 프로그램별 코드에 따른 채널이 지정되어 있는가를 판단하여 프로그램 채널이 지정되지 않았을 경우 프로그램별 채널을 지정하도록 프로그램은 스텝(105)에서 스텝(106)으로 진행되고, 이미 프로그램별 채널이 지정되었을 경우에는 마이컴(4)은 이를 인식하여 외부로부터의 채널 선택신호의 입력을 기다린다(스텝 107).
만약에 사용자가 프로그램별 채널 입력신호를 입력하면 프로그램은 스텝(107)에서 스텝(108)으로 진행되여서 사용자로 하여금 프로그램별 채널에서 방송되는 프로그램 방송을 선국하여 시청하도록 한다.
이러한 프로그램별 방송을 시청하다가 다른 방송의 채널을 선택할 경우 프로그램은 스텝(108)에서 스텝(109)으로 진행된 뒤 스텝(107)으로 복귀되어 다른 방송을 계속 시청하도록 하는 한편,
한 가지의 프로그램별 방송채널을 계속 시청하는 중에 하나의 프로그램이 종료되면 프로그램별 방송채널의 두 번째 채널을 임의로 선국하여 시청하도록 스텝(108)에서 스텝(110)으로 진행되는 한편, 이러한 프로그램별 채널을 시청하는 중에 다른 방송을 선택하고자 채널선택의 입력신호를 마이컴(4)에 제공하면 마이컴(4)은 이를 인식하여 기존의 방송사별 채널을 선택토록 하고, 그렇지 않을 경우에는 현재 시청중인 프로그램별 채널의 방송을 계속 시청하게 된다(스텝 111).
이와 같이 동작하는 본 발명은 방송국에서 송출되어 수신된 방송이 비디오 프로그램 시스템 방송인가를 판단하여 프로그램별로 채널을 임의로 할당함으로써 사용자가 시청하고자 하는 버튼을 누르면 해당 프로그램에 따른 방송만이 자동으로 선국될 수가 있으므로 프로그램 종류에 따른 동일한 프로그램을 계속적으로 시청할 수 있는 특징을 지닌 것이다.

Claims (1)

  1. 안테나를 통해 수신되는 방송신호로부터 검출되는 비디오 신호를 포함하는 비디오 프로그램 시스템 코드를 디코딩하기 위한 VPS 디코더를 포함하는 비디오 프로그램 시스템 IC를 구비한 방송신호 수신장치에서의 동종 프로그램 채널 선택방법에 있어서, 프로그램 시작 시간에 상기 VPS 디코더를 포함하는 비디오 프로그램 시스템 IC와 상기 비디오 프로그램 시스템 IC의 제어에 따라 상기 방송신호를 표시수단을 통해 표시하도록 하되 상기 VPS 디코더를 포함하는 비디오 프로그램 시스템 IC에서 해독된 정보가 공급될 때 유사한 형태의 프로그램에서 정보를 해독하여 분류하고 상기 시스템 콘트롤러에서 임의로 셋트된 예정된 채널에 상응하는 상기 분류단계에서 분류된 유사형태 프로그램의 방송채널을 선택하고, 상기 예정된 채널로부터 요청된 프로그램 종류에 상응하는 첫번째 방송 채널을 선택하고, 상기 표시수단을 통해 상기 첫번째 방송선택 단계에서 선택된 채널에 상응하는 방송채널에 대한 정보를 표시하고, 상기 표시단계에서 요청에 의해 보여진 방송채널을 결정함에 의해 두번째 방송채널을 선택하는 단계들로 구성되는 동종 프로그램 채널 선택방법.
