Claims (6)
- メインパネル(102b)と、該メインパネル(102b)と接合する縁部に沿って前記メインパネル(102b)と一体化されるかまたは他の方法で前記メインパネル(102b)に取り付けられる一対のサイドパネル(104a、104b)と、によって形成され、前記メインパネル(102b)は、上部(135)、前部(126)、および下部を有する単一の膨張可能なチャンバ(101)と、
エアバッグの前方に向いた部分上に形成され、前記膨張可能なチャンバ(101)を2つのローブ部(112a、112b)に分割する、鉛直方向に延びるくぼみ部(110)と、
前記膨張可能なチャンバ(101)内に配置され、前記くぼみ部(110)に取り付けられた第1の端部(182a)と、固定されることによって、前記膨張可能なチャンバ(101)が膨張したときに前記くぼみ部(110)が前方に移動することを制限する第2の端部(182b)と、を有するテザー(180)と、を備えたエアバッグであって、
前記メインパネル(102b)の前記上部(135)は、前記チャンバ(101)が膨張したときに、2つのローブ部(112a、112b)に架かり、車両乗員と前記くぼみ部(110)との間を横切って延びていることを特徴とするエアバッグ。 - 前記くぼみ部(110)は、前記メインパネル(102b)の前記下部まで延びている、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ。
- 前記くぼみ部(110)は、前記エアバッグ(100a)の膨張状態で、前記メインパネル(102b)の前記前部(126)の幅の少なくとも25%の幅を有する、請求項1または2に記載のエアバッグ。
- 前記くぼみ部(110)は、矩形、楕円形、または台形である、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のエアバッグ。
- 前記メインパネル(102b)、前記一対のサイドパネル(104a、104b)、および前記くぼみ部(110)は、エアバッグを形成するように織られまたは編まれている、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のエアバッグ。
- 内部にインフレータ(308)が配置されたエアバッグモジュールハウジング(303)に取り付けられたエアバッグであって、前記膨張可能なチャンバ(101)は、前記インフレータ(308)から供給される膨張ガスが前記膨張可能なチャンバ(101)に入ることができるように前記エアバッグモジュールハウジング(303)に固定されたガス入口通路(230)を有する、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のエアバッグ。
