Claims (4)
- 所定のキャリア増幅器とピーク増幅器とを含んでなるドハーティ増幅器において、
N(N≧3の自然数)個の経路と、
前記N個の経路のいずれかの一経路上に配される一つのキャリア増幅器と、
前記キャリア増幅器が配された経路以外の(N−1)個の経路上に一つずつ配される(N−1)個のピーク増幅器と、
前記N個の経路それぞれに電力を分配するための電力分配手段と、
前記N個の経路が集まるクオータウエーブインピダンストランスフォーマと、を含み、
前記キャリア増幅器の後端に位置するクオータウエーブ伝送線路と所定の角度θ C を有するオフセットラインの特性インピダンスを備え、
前記ピーク増幅器の後端に位置するオフセットラインの特性インピダンスは所定の角度θ P を有し、
前記ピーク増幅器それぞれの前端には所定の角度90°+θ c −θ p を有する伝送線路が位置することを特徴とするドハーティ増幅器。 - 前記キャリア増幅器及びピーク増幅器それぞれは全て同じトランジスタを使用して構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のドハーティ増幅器。
- 前記キャリア増幅器とピーク増幅器のゲートバイアスを異ならせるドハーティ増幅器の特性を利用するために、弱電力では前記ピーク増幅器をオフにして強電力では前記ピーク増幅器を前記キャリア増幅器のバイアスレベルになるように徐々にオンにするための包絡線トラッキング手段を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のドハーティ増幅器。
- 前記包絡線トラッキング手段は包絡線検出器と、前記包絡線検出器により検出された包絡線信号を減衰または増幅してオフセットを除去し、前記ピーク増幅器のゲート電圧に印加する包絡線シェーピング回路とを含んでなることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のドハーティ増幅器。
