Abstract
【解決手段】表示板は、基板と、基板上に形成され、互いに対向する一対の第1主辺と第1主辺に接続し、互いに対向する一対の第2主辺を有する画素電極を備え、画素電極の第2主辺はのこぎり状の突出部を含む。

前記第1切開部とともに各画素を複数の副領域に区画する第2切開部を有し、前記画素電極と対向する共通電極と、
前記画素電極と前記共通電極の間に位置している液晶層と、

前記副領域それぞれは互いに対向する一対の主辺と、これに接続している複数の副辺を有し、
隣接した2つの画素電極にそれぞれ含まれる2つの副領域の主辺は互いにずれており、
前記共通電極は、隣接する画素電極の間隙に位置し、隣り合う画素の前記第2切開部を接続する接続切開部を有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置を提供する。
まず、図16、図17、図19及び図20を参照して薄膜トランジスタ表示板100について詳細に説明する。
Ccp/(Ccp+CLCb)の値が1より小さいため、第2液晶キャパシタ(CLCb)に充電された電圧(Vb)は、第1液晶キャパシタ(CLCa)に充電された電圧(Va)より常に小さい。この関係は、維持電極線131の電圧が共通電圧(Vcom)でない場合にも同様に成立する。

Claims (16)
- 各画素に形成され、各画素を複数の副領域に区画する第1切開部を有する画素電極と、
前記第1切開部とともに各画素を複数の副領域に区画する第2切開部を有し、前記画素電極と対向する共通電極と、
前記画素電極と前記共通電極の間に位置している液晶層と、
を備え、
前記副領域それぞれは互いに対向する一対の主辺と、これに接続している複数の副辺を有し、
隣接した2つの画素電極にそれぞれ含まれる2つの副領域の主辺は互いにずれており、
前記共通電極は、隣接する画素電極の間隙に位置し、隣り合う画素の前記第2切開部を接続する接続切開部を有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記主辺は前記第1及び第2切開部と斜角をなすことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記各副領域の副辺のうちの少なくとも1つは135°より大きい角度で主辺と交わることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記各副領域の主辺は第1主辺と前記第1主辺より短い第2主辺を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記画素電極の辺のうちの一部は前記副領域の副辺をなし、前記第2切開部は前記副領域の副辺をなす前記画素電極の辺のうちの一部とは重畳しないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記接続切開部と第2切開部は鈍角をなすことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記接続切開部の幅は前記間隙の幅より広いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記副領域の副辺と重畳するデータ線をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記接続切開部は前記データ線と対向することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記データ線と対向する遮光部材をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記副領域の副辺のうちの一部は前記データ線と重畳せず、前記遮光部材は前記データ線と重畳しない前記副領域の副辺のうちの一部を遮る拡張部をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記画素電極は前記第1切開部のうちの一部によって物理的に互いに分離された少なくとも2つの副画素電極を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記1つの画素電極において、各々の副画素電極は互いに異なるデータ線に接続しており、
前記1つの画素電極において、各々の副画素電極は同じゲート線に接続していることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記1つの画素電極において、各々の副画素電極は互いに異なるゲート線に接続しており、
前記1つの画素電極において、各々の副画素電極は同じデータ線に接続していることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記画素電極は前記接続切開部と交互に配置されている第3切開部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- ゲート線と前記接続切開部とは45°をなすことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
