Description
Claims (15)
- 予加熱したガラスシート(2)を支持するガスクッションを発生するため、圧縮ガス源(21)に接続したチャンバ(7)を設け、このチャンバの上側壁(10)の外形寸法をガラスシート(2)の輪郭に適合させ、また上側壁(10)にガスが通過する複数個の開孔(15)を設けたガスクッション発生装置において、
前記開孔(15)を、入口ボア(22)と徐々に拡開する出口孔(16)とを有するノズル(14)として設計し、孔開口度を、上側壁の各ゾーン(11;12;13)の総面積に対するノズル出口領域(15)の面積の合計の割合としたとき、前記チャンバ(7)の上側壁(10)の端縁ゾーン(12,13)における孔開口度を中心ゾーン(11)における孔開口度よりも大きくしたことを特徴とするガスクッション発生装置。 - 前記チャンバ(7)の上側壁(10)の中心ゾーン(11)を、端縁ゾーン(12,13)の合計面積にほぼ相当する面積となるようにした請求項1記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記チャンバ(7)の上側壁(10)の前記端縁ゾーン(12,13)における孔開口度に対する前記中心ゾーン(11)における孔開口度の比を約0.5〜0.9、好適には、約0.7〜0.8とした請求項1または2記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記チャンバ(7)の上側壁(10)の中心ゾーン(11)における孔開口度を、最大で約0.3、好適には、0.25以下とした請求項1乃至3のうちのいずれか一項に記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記チャンバ(7)の上側壁(10)の長辺側における端縁ゾーン(12)の孔開口度を、短辺側における端縁ゾーン(13)の孔開口度よりも大きくした請求項1乃至4のうちのいずれか一項に記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記チャンバ(7)の上側壁(10)の孔開口度を、ガラスシート(2)の供給側から反対側に向かって減少させた請求項1乃至5のうちのいずれか一項に記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記ノズル(14)の少なくとも1個における入口ボア(22)を、流れの方向に少なくとも一回急激に拡大するものとした請求項1乃至6のうちのいずれか一項に記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記ノズル(14)の入口ボアは、直径約2〜4mmの第1部分と、直径約20mmの第2部分とを有するものとし、この第2部分に対して出口孔(16)が連続するものとした請求項7記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記ノズル(14)の入口ボアは、第1部分(17)と第2部分(18)との間に、直径約10mmの第3部分(19)を有するものとして構成した請求項8記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 少なくとも第1部分、第2部分、第3部分(17,18,19)を、互いに整列する円筒形軸線を有する円筒形形状に形成した請求項9記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記チャンバ(7)の上側壁(10)を、耐熱材料で形成した薄くかつ多孔性のクロス(20)によってカバーした請求項1乃至10のうちのいずれか一項に記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記クロス(20)を、熱伝導材料、好適には、耐蝕性スチール(ステンレス鋼)により形成した請求項11記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記チャンバ(7)をセラミック材料で形成した請求項1乃至12のうちのいずれか一項に記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記チャンバ(7)を一体ピースの成形型として設計した請求項13記載のガスクッション発生装置。
- 前記チャンバ(7)に加熱素子を設けた請求項1乃至14のうちのいずれか一項に記載のガスクッション発生装置。
