Abstract

L'invention concerne un perfectionnement permettant d'amortir le bruit des roues d'un véhicule, en particulier des roues munies de pneumatiques de voitures automobiles. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé pour le perfectionnement, selon l'invention, des roues de véhicules conventionnelles. L'espace vide (6; 6a, 6b) formé par un pneumatique (10) et la jante (1) d'une roue d'un véhicule est rempli, conformément à l'invention, par une charge granuleuse résistant à la déformation et à la chaleur. Cette charge provoque une atténuation de l'effet de résonance de l'espace vide et diminue ainsi sensiblement le rayonnement sonore du bruit du véhicule. L'espace vide peut être complètement rempli par la charge selon l'invention. En plus de la charge, l'espace vide est rempli, de façon connue, par un gaz de remplissage, notamment par de l'air comprimé. Les propriétés statiques et dynamiques des pneumatiques des véhicules sont à peine modifiées par le remplissage. En outre, il est possible de prévoir une chambre de remplissage spéciale (6b) pour la charge selon l'invention. Une deuxième chambre de remplissage (6a) est remplie, de façon connue, d'un gaz de remplissage, la pression de remplissage de ce dernier étant transmise, par l'intermédiaire d'une membrane (8), à la charge et, de ce fait, aux parois du pneumatique (10).
