<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
La présente invention a pour but de remédier à ces inconvénients et elle vise un concasseur universel établi de manière à assurer une production rapide et économique du gravillon, les opérations primaires et secondaires y étant effectuées au moyen d'organes groupés sur un bâti commun et actionnés par une commande unique, et dont les courses et vitesses respectives peuvent être réglées avec la progressivité voulue;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Universal crusher, particularly applicable to the manufacture of chippings.
Currently, gravel is produced either in two stages or in a single stage.
In the first case, one generally resorts to one of the following main devices: a) The materials are subjected to the action of primary crushers or grinders performing a first crushing after which the materials are taken up by devices secondary of the same type. each device being independent and performing a separate operation. b) The materials, subjected as previously to the action of primary crushers, are fed back by roll or groove crushers, each device still performing a separate operation. However, there are devices in which roller mills or
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
splines are coupled and combined with the primary crushers.
In single stage manufacturing, the materials are processed directly by high speed crushers or grinders differing little in their design from the apparatus used in the device a.
None of the above various devices has a yield making it possible to obtain the gravel under good conditions of quantity and economy. In addition, in each case, the type of apparatus used is the same, whatever the nature of the materials to be treated. However, it is obviously not logical to submit to the same work, to obtain gravel, hard materials and soft materials, those with coarse grains and those with tight grains.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and it relates to a universal crusher established so as to ensure rapid and economical production of the chippings, the primary and secondary operations being carried out there by means of members grouped together on a common frame and actuated. by a single control, and the respective strokes and speeds of which can be adjusted with the desired progressiveness;
in addition, these members are capable of being arranged so as to act, depending on the nature of the materials, either by impact or by pressure, both in the primary phase and in the secondary phase,
To this end, the crusher forming the subject of the invention is characterized essentially in that it comprises two superimposed jaws, movable angularly opposite a fixed jaw and receiving an oscillatory movement from a common motor shaft, via appropriate eccentrics and thrust arms. Just
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
to give the axes of oscillation of these jaws and the points of application of the control positions judiciously chosen to obtain the strokes and speeds of said jaws resulting, as has just been said, either in a work by shock, or in a work by pressure.
The invention will be better understood with the aid of the additional description given below with reference to the appended drawing, which shows, by way of example only:
Figure 1, a sectional view along the axis I-I of Figure 2, of an embodiment of the device.
Figure 2, a plan view corresponding to Figure 1.
Figures 3, 4 and 5, schematic elevational views of the apparatus, with mounting variants of the movable jaws.
The crusher shown in Figures 1 and 2 comprises a one-piece frame 1 at one end of which is mounted on a shaft 2 a jaw holder 3 carrying the fixed jaw 4. Opposite the latter are arranged, one above the another, two jaw holders 5,6 carrying the movable jaws 7 and 8, and which, in this example, are articulated at their lower part on axes 9,10
The upper jaw 7 receives a reciprocating angular movement via a central flap 11 forming a thrust arm, on which acts a connecting rod 12 oscillating around a shaft 13 and subjected to the action of an eccentric 14 keyed on a motor shaft 15.
The lower jaw 8 is controlled by two side flaps 16 placed symmetrically with respect to the flap 11 and on which act two similar connecting rods 17 mounted, like the first, on the shaft 13 and receiving an oscillatory movement under the action of two eccentrics 18 While the eccentric 14
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
controlling the upper jaw 7 comprises a single eccentric part, the eccentrics 18 are provided with two symmetrical eccentric parts, so that the lower jaw 8 receives a movement of frequency double that of the upper jaw. In addition, the three eccentrics are wedged on the shaft 15 so that the forces of the jaws do not occur at the same time.
The return of these jaws is provided by rods 19,20 sliding in guides 21,22 and urged by compressed springs 23,24.
Attached to the lower part of the fixed jaw holder 3 is a rod 25 carrying a short and strong spring 26 which bears between the frame 1 and a nut 27 screwed onto said rod and blocked by a lock nut 28. This spring meshes the frame. jaw holder 3 applied against an impact and rupture part 29 in two parts, the front part in contact with said jaw holder being able to slide vertically against the rear part to which are connected two rods 30 oscillating around the shaft 13. This movement is limited by the spring 26 to the action of vibrations alone. The operation of the nuts of the rod 25 and of the rods 30 makes it possible to adjust the lower spacing of the jaws according to the work to be performed, while maintaining the fixed jaw holder 3 in permanent contact with the part 29.
Opposite the jaws, the frame is advantageously protected by wear plates 31.
As stated above, it is possible, in the construction of the apparatus, to provide a different mounting of the movable jaws 7 and 8.
FIG. 3 shows a variant in which the articulation axis 10 of the lower jaw 8 is arranged at the upper part of the latter, the jaw
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
upper 7 being mounted as before. In this case, the thrust flaps 16 act on the lower part of the jaw 8 and its return is provided by a central rod 20 '.
In the variant shown in FIG. 4, the two jaws 7 and 8 are articulated at their upper part, and the flaps 11 and 16 act at their lower part.
In FIG. 5, the upper jaw 7 is articulated at its upper part, the lower jaw 8 being articulated at its lower part, as in the case of FIG. 1.
Independently of these variants, it goes without saying that the invention may give rise in its realization to any desirable constructive modification. In particular, the frame may, instead of being established in a single piece, be constituted by assembly. On the other hand, the two side flaps 16 controlling the lower jaw 8 can be replaced by a single flap having the same bearing points on the control rods. The various flaps can also be replaced by intermediate connecting rods with a fixed or mobile point on the movable jaws and on the primary connecting rods 12,17. The eccentrics can at will be formed directly on the motor shaft or be provided removable and replaceable.
Finally, it goes without saying that the various bearings of the shafts can be fitted with bronze or other bushings, and appropriate lubrication systems.
