Definitions
- the present invention relates to a steel pipe.
- internal pressure fatigue failure when an internal pressure is repeatedly applied to a steel pipe, fatigue failure of the steel pipe (hereinafter also referred to as “internal pressure fatigue failure”) may occur.
- the steel pipe In order to suppress such internal pressure fatigue failure, the steel pipe may be required to have improved internal pressure fatigue characteristics.
- various techniques have been studied in order to improve the internal pressure fatigue characteristics of steel pipes. For example, as a method of manufacturing cylinder tube steel pipes with excellent internal pressure fatigue characteristics, manufacturing cylinder tube steel pipes that are heat-treated at 300 ° C to 350 ° C after drawing when steel pipes are drawn to produce cylinder tube steel pipes. A method is known (see, for example, JP-A-4-183820). A technique for reducing the residual stress of a steel pipe is also known in order to improve the fatigue characteristics of the steel pipe.
- both ends of the raw steel pipe are moved in one direction while chucking and rotating, and a roll is pressed while heating the processed part.
- a manufacturing method of a steel tube for a cylinder in which the outer diameter is processed to be constant is known (see, for example, JP-A-2003-103329).
- the present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a steel pipe excellent in internal pressure fatigue characteristics.
- the present inventor found that it is effective to increase not only the outer surface of the steel pipe but also the compressive residual stress in the vicinity of the outer surface in order to improve the internal pressure fatigue characteristics of the steel pipe, and completed the present invention. That is, specific means for solving the above-described problems are as follows.
- ⁇ 4> Any one of ⁇ 1> to ⁇ 3>, in which the ratio of the yield strength to the tensile strength is 80% or more and the yield elongation appears when a full thickness test piece is subjected to a tensile test in the tube axis direction.
- the steel pipe according to the item. ⁇ 5> The steel pipe according to any one of ⁇ 1> to ⁇ 4>, which is an electric resistance steel pipe.
- the compressive residual stress may be expressed as a negative ( ⁇ ) residual stress
- the tensile residual stress may be expressed as a positive (+) residual stress. That is, in this specification, “the compressive residual stress is large” means that the residual stress is a negative value and the absolute value of the residual stress is large.
- “compressive residual stress of 250 Pa or more” is synonymous with “residual stress of ⁇ 250 MPa or less”.
- “the residual stress is large” means that the absolute value of the residual stress is large.
- compressive residual stress and “residual stress” refer to a compressive residual stress measured by the X-ray method and a residual stress measured by the X-ray method, respectively, unless otherwise specified.
- a numerical range expressed using “to” means a range including numerical values described before and after “to” as a lower limit value and an upper limit value.
- the steel pipe of the present invention is, by mass%, C: 0.06% to 0.25%, Si: 0.50% or less, Mn: 1.00% to 1.80%, P: 0.030% or less, S: 0.020% or less, Al: 0.08% or less, N: 0.008% or less, and Nb: 0.080% or less, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, X on the outer surface
- the compressive residual stress measured by the X-ray method at a position 1 mm deep from the outer surface is a compressive residual stress measured by the X-ray method at the outer surface, the compressive residual stress measured by the X-ray method is 250 MPa or more. 70% or more of the stress.
- the ratio (%) of the compressive residual stress at a position 1 mm deep from the outer surface to the compressive residual stress on the outer surface is defined as a ratio C. That is, the ratio C is defined by the following formula 1. In the present invention, the ratio C is 70% or more.
- Ratio C (%) (Compressive residual stress at a position 1 mm deep from the outer surface / Compressive residual stress at the outer surface) ⁇ 100 (Formula 1)
- the strength of the base for improving the internal pressure fatigue characteristics is ensured by setting the composition of the steel pipe to the above-described composition.
- the composition of the steel pipe of the present invention will be described later.
- the composition of the steel pipe is set to the above composition, and the compressive residual stress on the outer surface (outer peripheral surface) and the ratio C are set to the above-described ranges. This suppresses internal pressure fatigue failure starting from scratches received from the outside. As described above, according to the steel pipe of the present invention, the internal pressure fatigue characteristics are improved.
- the inner surface of the steel pipe is less likely to be scratched than the outer surface of the steel pipe. For these reasons, even if the compressive residual stress on the outer surface is increased as described above, the internal pressure fatigue failure starting from a scratch on the inner surface is not a problem. Therefore, in order to improve the internal pressure fatigue characteristics of steel pipes, measures against internal pressure fatigue failure starting from scratches on the outer surface are more important than measures against internal pressure fatigue failure starting from scratches on the inner surface. is there.
- the compressive residual stress on the outer surface is 250 MPa or more. This suppresses internal pressure fatigue failure starting from scratches received from the outside.
- the compressive residual stress on the outer surface is preferably 350 MPa or more, and more preferably 400 MPa or more.
- the upper limit of the compressive residual stress on the outer surface is not particularly limited, but the compressive residual stress on the outer surface is preferably 600 MPa or less from the viewpoint of further reducing the tensile residual stress on the inner surface.
- the compressive residual stress of 250 MPa by the X-ray method corresponds to a compressive residual stress of 150 MPa by the Clampton method
- the compressive residual stress of 430 MPa by the X-ray method corresponds to the compressive residual stress of 300 MPa by the Clampton method
- the tensile residual stress of 120 MPa corresponds to a tensile residual stress of 100 MPa by the clampton method.
- the measurement of compressive residual stress by the X-ray method can be performed according to a conventional method.
- An example of the measuring method is as shown in [Example] described later.
- the ratio C is 70% or more. This suppresses internal pressure fatigue failure starting from scratches received from the outside. In particular, even when the outer surface peels for some reason or when a scratch having a depth from the outer surface to the inside is applied, the internal pressure fatigue failure can be suppressed.
- the ratio C is preferably 80% or more, and more preferably 90% or more.
- the upper limit of the ratio C is 100% in principle. However, the ratio C may exceed 100% when the measurement position on the outer surface and the measurement position at a position of 1 mm depth are different in the axial direction and the circumferential direction.
- FIG. 1 is a graph showing the relationship between the residual stress on the outer surface of a steel pipe and the number of repeated fractures at a load stress of 400 MPa on the steel pipe.
- steel No. described later is used.
- the residual stress on the outer surface was changed by changing the heat treatment conditions in Examples described later. Moreover, the measurement of the residual stress on the outer surface by the X-ray method was the method shown in the examples described later.
- a stress of 400 MPa in the circumferential direction was repeatedly applied to each of the nine types of steel pipes at a frequency of 0.8 Hz, and the number of stress repetitions [times] until the steel pipe broke was determined.
- the obtained number of repetitions [times] was defined as “number of repetitions of fracture [times] at a load stress of 400 MPa” in FIG. 1.
- the measurement of the number of repetitions was performed under the condition that the steel pipe temperature was normal temperature (about 20 ° C). As shown in FIG.
- the wall thickness of the steel pipe of the present invention is preferably 7 mm to 17 mm.
- the wall thickness is 7 mm or more, resistance to internal pressure is further improved. Furthermore, since the residual stress on the inner surface can be reduced as the wall thickness increases, internal pressure fatigue failure starting from scratches on the inner surface is further suppressed.
- the upper limit value of 17 mm for the wall thickness is an upper limit value considering the formability for bending a hot-rolled steel sheet into a steel pipe (particularly, the formability when the steel pipe of the present invention is an electric resistance welded pipe).
- the ratio of thickness to outer diameter [thickness / outer diameter] is preferably 0.07 to 0.12.
- the ratio [thickness / outer diameter] is 0.07 or more, resistance to internal pressure is further improved. Furthermore, since the residual stress on the inner surface can be reduced, internal pressure fatigue failure starting from scratches on the inner surface is further suppressed.
- the upper limit value 0.12 of the ratio [thickness / outer diameter] takes into consideration the formability for bending a hot-rolled steel sheet into a steel pipe (particularly, the formability when the steel pipe of the present invention is an electric-welded steel pipe). Is the upper limit.
- the steel pipe of the present invention preferably has a thickness of 7 mm to 17 mm and a ratio [thickness / outer diameter] of 0.07 to 0.12.
- the outer diameter, the wall thickness, and the ratio [wall thickness / outer diameter] may be referred to as the outer diameter D, the wall thickness t, and the ratio [t / D], respectively.
- the steel pipe of the present invention has a ratio of yield strength to tensile strength (hereinafter also referred to as “yield ratio”) when a pipe axial direction tensile test is performed on a full-thickness test piece from the viewpoint of further improving internal pressure fatigue characteristics. ) Is 80% or more, and yield elongation appears.
- the property that the yield ratio is 80% or more and the yield elongation appears is a property peculiar to a steel pipe subjected to the heat treatment described later.
- the yield ratio is 80% or more, a wider elastic region is secured.
- the upper limit of the yield ratio is 100% in principle.
- steel pipe of this invention may be a welded steel pipe, such as an electric resistance steel pipe, or a seamless steel pipe. From the viewpoints of dimensional accuracy and manufacturing cost, the steel pipe of the present invention is preferably an electric resistance welded steel pipe.
- the above-described steel pipe of the present invention (in particular, a steel pipe having a yield ratio of 80% or more and yield elongation when a pipe axial direction tensile test is performed on a full-thickness specimen) is, for example, after pipe making, It can be manufactured by heating the entire steel pipe that has not yet been heat-treated (hereinafter also referred to as “steel pipe as it is”) to a temperature of Ac1 point or less and rapidly cooling the outer surface of the heated steel pipe.
- heat treatment a process from the start of the heating to the end (stop) of the cooling may be referred to as “heat treatment”.
- the rapid cooling can cause a temperature difference between the outer surface and the inner surface, and this temperature difference can cause a large compressive residual stress on the outer surface.
- the effect of this rapid cooling is more effectively exhibited when at least one of the thickness of 7 mm or more and the ratio [thickness / outer diameter] of 0.07 or more is satisfied.
- the rapid cooling of the outer surface can be performed, for example, by spraying a cooling solvent from the periphery of the outer surface to the outer surface with a spray nozzle or the like.
- the compressive residual stress and the ratio C on the outer surface can be adjusted by adjusting the temperature of the heat treatment, the cooling start temperature, the cooling rate, and the like.
- the compressive residual stress on the outer surface tends to increase.
- other processes such as cold drawing
- the steel pipe of the present invention can be used for any application that requires excellent internal pressure fatigue characteristics.
- Examples of the steel pipe of the present invention include a steel pipe for cylinder, a steel pipe for damping damper, a steel pipe for earthquake-resistant damper, a hydraulic pipe, and the like.
- the steel pipe of the present invention is a cylinder steel pipe, the significance of improving the internal pressure fatigue characteristics is great.
- a cylinder steel pipe applied to an outer cylinder of a cylinder that expands and contracts by hydraulic pressure or the like is preferable.
- the cylinder include a cylinder around a drive system such as a bucket, an arm, and a boom of a hydraulic excavator.
- % indicating the element content in the steel pipe is “mass%”. Moreover, about each element, when only calling it "content”, it points out content in a steel pipe.
- the steel pipe of the present invention has C: 0.06% to 0.25%, Si: 0.50% or less, Mn: 1.00% to 1.80%, P: 0.030% or less, It contains S: 0.020% or less, Al: 0.08% or less, N: 0.008% or less, and Nb: 0.080% or less, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities.

- Mn 1.00% to 1.80%
- P 0.030% or less
- S 0.020% or less
- Al 0.08% or less

Abstract
Description

不可避的不純物として、具体的には、O(酸素)、Sb(アンチモン)、Sn(スズ)、W(タングステン)、Co(コバルト)、As(ヒ素)、Mg(マグネシウム)、Pb(鉛)、Bi(ビスマス)、B(ホウ素)、H(水素)が挙げられる。
本明細書中において、「REM」とは希土類元素を意味し、Sc(スカンジウム)、Y(イットリウム)、La(ランタン)、Ce(セリウム)、Pr(プラセオジム)、Nd(ネオジム)、Pm(プロメチウム)、Sm(サマリウム)、Eu(ユウロピウム)、Gd(ガドリニウム)、Tb(テルビウム)、Dy(ジスプロシウム)、Ho(ホルミウム)、Er(エルビウム)、Tm(ツリウム)、Yb(イッテルビウム)、及びLu(ルテチウム)からなる17種の元素の総称である。
