Therefore, the movement of the obstacle is predicted in consideration of the above situation, and the calculation with high accuracy can be realized while reducing the calculation load.
- the risk calculation unit 20 is based on the movement of the obstacle of the second risk target R2 that is farther from the host vehicle, and the first risk target R1 that is closer to the host vehicle.
- the movement of the obstacles is predicted sequentially and in a chained manner, and more accurate calculation is possible.
- the traveling environment identification unit 41 for identifying the traveling environment of the host vehicle 100 and the number of times of chaining when calculating the risk of surrounding vehicles in a chained manner are determined.
- a chain range determination unit 42 is determined in the radar cruise control system 10b of this embodiment.
- the traveling environment identification unit 41 needs to identify how complex surrounding vehicles including the host vehicle 100 can change. Therefore, the traveling environment identification unit 41 identifies and outputs the road type on which the host vehicle 100 and surrounding vehicles travel. As shown in FIG. 9, a constant is assigned in advance as the maximum number of chains for each road type. The traveling environment identification unit 41 outputs a constant corresponding to the identified road type. The travel environment identification unit 41 identifies information such as the time zone, weather, traffic jam information, and specific area as the travel environment of the host vehicle 100 in addition to the road type shown in FIG. A constant assigned as the maximum number of chains may be output.
- the chain range determination unit 42 uses the output value of the traveling environment identification unit 41 as the maximum chain number, and outputs the chain number as appropriate according to the surrounding situation. For example, even when the maximum number of chains output from the travel environment identification unit 41 is “2” corresponding to the general road urban area in FIG. 9, it is the other vehicle 201 that is the first risk target R1 and the second risk target R2. When the inter-vehicle distance from the other vehicle 202 is long, “1” is set as the chain count.
- the risk calculation unit 20 calculates the risk of obstacles around the host vehicle 100 in the same manner as in the first embodiment according to the number of chains determined by the chain range determination unit 42. For example, when the number of chains determined by the chain range determination unit 42 is “2”, the risk calculation unit 20 sequentially calculates the risks of the third to first risk objects in a chained manner, thereby calculating the first risk object. Calculate the risk of R1. In addition, when the chain count determined by the chain range determination unit 42 is “1”, the risk calculation unit 20 sequentially calculates the risks of the second to first risk targets in a chained manner, thereby calculating the first risk target. Further, the priority is set to be lower as it is closer to the driver's line-of-sight direction detected by the driver face direction / line-of-sight sensor 14, and is set to be higher as it is farther away.
- the position P of the host vehicle 100 after a certain time has elapsed depends on the vehicle speed of the host vehicle 100 detected by the vehicle state quantity sensor 13, the road type on which the host vehicle 100 travels detected by the travel environment identification unit 41, and the like. Be changed.
- the risk calculation unit 20 calculates the risk of obstacles around the host vehicle 100 as in the first and second embodiments while changing the number of chains according to the set priority. For example, when the chain count determined by the chain range determination unit 42 is “1”, the risk calculation unit 20 changes the chain count to “2” for the other vehicle 202 that is close to the host vehicle 100, The risk of the other vehicle 202 is calculated by sequentially calculating the risks of the third to first risk targets in a chain. For the other vehicle 201 that is far from the host vehicle 100 and is in the driver's line of sight, the risk calculation unit 20 changes the chain count to “0” and calculates only the risk of the other vehicle 201.
- the risk calculation unit 20 detects the traveling state of the host vehicle 100 and the driver's face direction / line of sight detected by the vehicle state quantity sensor 13.
- the obstacle recognition sensor 12 has a plurality of obstacles. Even when the information is monitored, redundant use of the information acquired by the obstacle recognition sensor 12 can be prevented, and more accurate calculation can be realized while further reducing the calculation load.
- the risk calculation unit 20 is based on the driving state of the host vehicle 100 detected by the vehicle state quantity sensor 13 and the driver's line-of-sight direction detected by the driver face direction / line-of-sight sensor 14.
- the priority is set for each of the plurality of obstacles of the first risk target R1 existing around the own vehicle 100, and the chain number is changed according to the priority, while the nth risk target to the first risk target are changed.
- the movement of the obstacles is predicted in a chain manner from the obstacles far from the own vehicle 100 according to the priority. Since the range is changed, more accurate calculation can be realized while reducing the calculation load.
- the risk calculation unit 20 sets the number of chaining for the obstacles of the first risk object R1 having a higher priority, and moves the obstacles of the nth risk object to the first risk object, respectively.
- obstacles with higher priority have a wider range for predicting the movement of obstacles from obstacles far from the vehicle 100, so that calculation with higher accuracy can be achieved while reducing the calculation load. Can be realized.
