Abstract
Description
同構成によれば、第1係合部と第1被係合部とが、可動カバー部材の回動軸部よりも先端側であって把持部より長手方向に突出した位置(保持部に近い位置)において、払拭方向において係合する。そのため、把持部より可動カバー部材の回動軸部に近い位置で第1係合部と第1被係合部とが係合する場合に比べて、保持部側での払拭方向のがたつき(振れ幅)をより小さくすることができる。これにより、可動カバー部材の保持部に保持された追従端部の前記払拭方向の撓みや倒れ、ひいてはびびり振動をより低減することができる。
好ましくは、前記可動カバー部材は前記ヨークレバー以外の前記レバー部材の構成要素に回動可能に連結される。
図1は、自動車のフロントガラス(ウインドシールドガラス)1の払拭面1aに付着した雨滴等を払拭する車両用ワイパ11を示す。ワイパ11は、ワイパアーム12とワイパブレード13とを含む。ワイパアーム12の基端部は、ワイパモータ(図示略)の駆動力にて所定回転角度範囲内で往復回動されるピボット軸(図示略)に固定される。ワイパアーム12はピボット軸の往復回動に伴って往復揺動運動を行う。ワイパアーム12の先端部には、連結クリップ14を介してワイパブレード13が回動可能に連結される。尚、ワイパアーム12には、ワイパブレード13を払拭面1aに押圧するための押圧力を付与するスプリング(図示略)が装着されている。
図3(a)~(c)及び図4(d)に示すように、ヨークレバー25において中間被係合部25bの近傍位置には、幅方向両側に向かって開口する支持凹部25fが形成されている。詳細には、支持凹部25fは、中間被係合部25bよりも外側係合部25e寄りであって前記メインレバー24の長手方向端部から突出したヨークレバー25の部位に形成されている。そして、支持凹部25fには、可動カバー部材23の回動軸部23aが回動可能に支持されている。可動カバー部材23は、ヨークレバー25に対し、前記回動軸部23aの回動軸線の周りで回動可能である。
(1)ブレードラバー22の追従端部22cが払拭面1aと直交する方向に屈曲変形すると、その屈曲変形に伴い、図5(a)に示すように、ヨークレバー25がメインレバー24に対して回動軸部24e周りに回動して同メインレバー24に対して傾斜する。また、可動カバー部材23は、追従端部22cを保持するとともに、メインレバー24に連結されたヨークレバー25に回動軸部23a周りで回動可能に連結されているので、同可動カバー部材23は前記追従端部22cの屈曲変形に応じてヨークレバー25に対して回動する。したがって、例えば、図5(b)に示すように、可動カバー部材35をメインレバー36に連結した構成に比べて、ワイパブレード13が全体として滑らかに湾曲した形状を呈し、良好な外観(美観)を維持することができる。
(2)可動カバー部材23に設けられたカバー係合部23dとヨークレバー25に設けられた外側係合部25eとが、可動カバー部材23の回動軸部23aよりも先端側に位置している。また、カバー係合部23dと外側係合部25eとは、ワイパブレード13の払拭状態では、払拭面1aと直交する方向において常に係合せず、且つ払拭面1aに沿った払拭方向において常に係合する。つまり、カバー係合部23dが外側係合部25eに対して、払拭面1aと直交する方向へ移動するのを許容する一方、払拭面1aに沿った払拭方向に移動するのを阻止するように、カバー係合部23dと外側係合部25eとは係合する。よって、ブレードラバー22の追従端部22cが払拭面1aと直交する方向に屈曲変形するのに応じて可動カバー部材23はヨークレバー25に対して回動することができる。また、ヨークレバー25に対する可動カバー部材23の払拭方向におけるがたつきが規制される。これにより、可動カバー部材23の保持部23bに保持された前記追従端部22cの払拭方向の撓み、ひいてはびびり振動が低減される。しかも、びびり振動を低減するための構成(カバー係合部23dと外側係合部25e)は、ワイパアーム12と関わることなくワイパブレード13内に形成される。したがって、その構成が外観を損ねることを回避することができる。又、本実施の形態では、フィン面31がワイパアーム12と連結されずワイパブレード13の長手方向に一様に形成できる。したがって、フィン面31がワイパアーム12と関わることもない。そのため、車両走行時の走行風を受けるとブレードラバー22の追従端部を払拭面1aに向けて押し付ける力を生じさせることができる、というフィン面31による利点が阻害されることはない。
上記実施の形態では、ヨークレバー25の内側係合部25d及び外側係合部25eは、把持部25cより長手方向に突出して設けられているが、これに限定されない。例えば、図7に示すように、内側係合部43と外側係合部41とは把持部25cの内側に設けられてもよい。

- ワイパアームに連結されるメインレバーと、該メインレバーに直接的又は間接的に連結されるヨークレバーと、を含むレバー部材であって、前記ヨークレバーは複数の把持部を有する、前記レバー部材と、
前記複数の把持部によって把持されて、払拭面を払拭するためのブレードラバーであって、前記複数の把持部のうち前記レバー部材の長手方向外側に位置する把持部から外側に突出した追従端部を有する前記ブレードラバーと、
前記ヨークレバーの少なくとも一部を覆う可動カバー部材であって、前記追従端部を保持する保持部と、前記追従端部が前記払拭面と直交する方向に屈曲変形するのに応じて可動カバー部材が前記ヨークレバーに対して回動するように該ヨークレバーに回動可能に連結された基端部と、を有する前記可動カバー部材と、
を備えるワイパブレード。 - ワイパアームに連結されるメインレバーと、該メインレバーに直接的又は間接的に連結されるヨークレバーと、を含むレバー部材であって、前記ヨークレバーは複数の把持部を有するとともに、その長手方向において外側端部と内側端部とを有する、前記レバー部材と、

前記可動カバー部材と前記ヨークレバーとには、前記回動軸線よりも前記外側端部寄りに位置する第1係合部と第1被係合部とが設けられ、該第1係合部と第1被係合部とは、前記払拭面と直交する方向において係合せず、且つ前記払拭面に沿った払拭方向において係合するワイパブレード。 - 請求項2に記載のワイパブレードにおいて、
前記ヨークレバーは、前記メインレバー又は前記メインレバーに連結された中間レバーに回動可能に連結される長手方向中間部を有し、
前記メインレバー又は前記中間レバーと前記ヨークレバーとには、前記回動軸線よりも前記内側端部寄りに位置する第2係合部と第2被係合部とが設けられ、該第2係合部と第2被係合部とは前記払拭面と直交する方向において係合せず、且つ前記払拭面に沿った払拭方向において係合するワイパブレード。 - 請求項2又は3に記載のワイパブレードにおいて、
前記第1被係合部は、前記把持部よりもヨークレバーの長手方向外側に突出するように該ヨークレバーに設けられるワイパブレード。 - 請求項3に記載のワイパブレードにおいて、
前記第2被係合部は、前記把持部よりもヨークレバーの長手方向内側に突出するように該ヨークレバーに設けられるワイパブレード。 - 請求項2乃至5のいずれか1項に記載のワイパブレードにおいて、
前記可動カバー部材は前記メインレバー及び前記ヨークレバー以外の前記レバー部材の構成要素に回動可能に連結されるワイパブレード。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載のワイパブレードにおいて、
前記ヨークレバーは、前記メインレバー又は前記メインレバーに連結された中間レバーに回動可能に連結される長手方向中間部をさらに有し、
前記メインレバー又は前記中間レバーには、長手方向に沿って延びる凸状の中間係合部が設けられ、該中間係合部の長手方向中央には前記ヨークレバーを回動可能に支持する回動軸部が設けられ、
前記ヨークレバーには、前記回動軸部の周りでの回動に対して前記中間係合部と係合せず、且つ前記払拭面に沿った払拭方向において前記中間係合部と係合する凹状の中間被係合部が設けられるワイパブレード。 - 請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載のワイパブレードにおいて、
前記可動カバー部材は、前記保持部と前記把持部との間において前記追従端部が可動カバー部材に対して前記払拭方向に移動するのを規制すべく、前記追従端部を挟むように設けられた一対の規制部を有するワイパブレード。 - 請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載のワイパブレードにおいて、

前記可動カバー部材は、車両走行時の走行風を受けて前記ブレードラバーの追従端部を前記払拭面に押し付ける力を生じさせる第2フィン面を有し、該第2フィン面は前記第1フィン面と連続するように可動カバー部材の長手方向に沿って延びるワイパブレード。
