Abstract

 光学系の解像限界より短い長さの記録マークを含む情報記録層が複数積層された光情報記録媒体を再生する光情報記録媒体再生装置(10)において、再生レーザ入射面に最も近い情報記録層を再生する再生レーザパワーが、再生レーザ入射面から最も遠い情報記録層を再生する再生レーザパワーより小さく、かつ、光情報記録媒体再生装置(10)が必要とする再生信号特性を満たす最小の再生レーザパワー以上に設定されている。これにより、再生レーザ入射面に近い情報記録層を再生するときに、該情報記録層に誤って高い再生レーザパワーの再生レーザを照射してしまうことを防ぐことができ、良好な再生品質を得ることができる。すなわち、最適な再生レーザパワーを決定し、安定した超解像再生が可能な光情報記録媒体再生装置(10)を実現できる。
