Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una solución acuosa pra depositar un revestimiento que consiste principalmente de fosfato de estaño sobre una superficie de metal activa, en contacto con la solución, que comprende: a) iones de ortofosfato; b) un agente oxidante; c) un pH de alrededor de 2 a aproximadamente 6; d) cationes de estaño; y e) una cantidad de un agente de quelación para cationes de estaño, efectiva para estabilizar el contenido de estaño soluble de la solución contra la disminución espontánea durante el almacenamiento fuera de contacto con las superficies reactivas, durante un período de un día.
