Claims (3)
- 画素電極と共通電極とを保護膜を介して多層に配置した横電界方式のアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置において、前記画素電極は画素開口部の全体を覆って配置され、前記共通電極は前記保護膜を介して前記画素電極の上方に、画素開口部ではデータ線に沿って櫛歯状に配置され、データ線直上ではデータ線直上のみにパターン形成された有機膜を介して配置され、前記データ線直上に配置された前記共通電極の端部は前記画素開口部の前記保護膜上へと延在しており、この延在している端部が前記画素電極と重畳していることを特徴とする横電界方式のアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置。
- 前記画素電極の端部とデータ線真上に配置された前記共通電極とは所定幅だけ重畳していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の横電界方式のアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置。
- 画素電極と共通電極とを保護膜を介して多層に配置した横電界方式のアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置において、前記画素電極は画素開口部に配置され、前記共通電極は、画素開口部ではデータ線に沿って櫛歯状に配置され、データ線直上ではデータ線直上のみにパターン形成された有機膜を介して配置されており、
前記画素開口部の周辺部分では、前記データ線直上に配置された前記共通電極の端部は前記画素開口部の前記保護膜上へと延在しており、この延在している端部が前記画素電極と重畳しており、
前記画素電極及び前記共通電極の夫々は、前記画素開口部の周辺部分を除く前記画素開口部において、櫛歯状で且つ重畳しないように配置されており、前記共通電極と前記画素電極が互いの電極端部のみで所定の幅で重畳するように配置されていることを特徴とする横電界方式のアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置。
