Description
即ちこの特許文献1の投射型表示装置では、ランプと外装キャビネットとの間に空気流を流すための大きな空間を設け、この空気流によってランプの熱を放熱することで外装キャビネットの温度低減が可能な構造としている。
図6に示す如く、この投射型表示装置1は、外装キャビネット2の内部に、光源であるランプ28を収容したランプユニット29と、3色のライトバルブ44(R),44(G),44(B)及び投射レンズ49を備えた光学系ユニット30と、が組み込まれて構成され、ランプ28から出射された光を光学系ユニット30のライトバルブ44(R),44(G),44(B)に照射することで得られた映像を投射レンズ49によってスクリーンに投射して表示するものである。
上記のような放熱構造により本例の投射型表示装置では、実験の結果、ランプ蓋の表面温度が4℃程度低減されることが確認された。
Claims (7)
- 外装キャビネットの内部に、光源と、ライトバルブ及び投射レンズを備えた光学系ユニットと、上記光源及び上記光学系ユニットを冷却する冷却手段と、が組み込まれてなる投射型表示装置において、
上記外装キャビネットのトップカバーは板金製とされ、上記光源であるランプと上記トップカバーとの間に、上記高熱伝導性の板金部品を配置し、
上記トップカバーの後面をU字型の曲面形状とし、
上記投射レンズと対応する開口部を有する半透明部材を上記投射レンズの近傍に配置し、
上記半透明部材の背面に、オートフォーカス用の投射距離検出センサーを配置した投射型表示装置。 - 上記高熱伝導性の板金部品の材料は純アルミニウム又は銅である請求項1に記載の投射型表示装置。
- 上記光源であるランプと上記外装キャビネットとの間の空間に、上記高熱伝導性の板金部品に加えて低熱伝導性の断熱シートを配置した請求項1に記載の投射型表示装置。
- 上記低熱伝導性の断熱シートの材料は真空断熱材である請求項3に記載の投射型表示装置。
- 上記構成では、ランプ、板金部品、断熱シート、外装キャビネットの順に配置される請求項3に記載の投射型表示装置。
- 上記板金部品は、高反射率を有する金属で形成される請求項1に記載の投射型表示装置。
- 上記板金部品は、装置内部での冷却風の流速を速くする軸流ファン近辺の空間に放熱面が臨むように配置される請求項1に記載の投射型表示装置。
