Abstract
Description
図1は、実施形態に係るエアバッグの展開状態の形状を示す図である。このエアバッグは、車両の車室内側部の窓を覆うように位置するカーテンエアバッグ(カーテンシールドエアバッグ:CSAともいわれる)である。なお、展開状態において、エアバッグ10は、厚み方向にも膨張している。
ここで、上述したように、中間端室32が全体としてU字形状となっており、伸長部32-2が下方に向けて突出している(図1におけるdで示す距離)。そして、この距離dに対応した面積は、非膨張エリア40により充当している。従って、チャンバ20の体積をあまり大きくすることなく、下側にはみ出したチャンバ20の一部分である中間端室32の伸長部32-2を得ることができる。
Claims (5)
- 展開時にガスの導入によって膨張するチャンバと、展開時に膨張しない非膨張エリアと、を含み、前記チャンバへガスを導入することによって展開するエアバッグであって、
前記非膨張エリアの周辺に位置する前記チャンバの内の第1部分は閉じられた先端部を含み、展開時において、前記先端部が前記非膨張エリアの周辺に位置し前記先端部に対向する前記チャンバの第2部分に対し、荷重を掛けて接触する、
エアバッグ。 - 請求項1に記載のエアバッグであって、
前記第2部分の前記対向する部分には、凹部が形成され、前記先端部が前記凹部内に入り込むようにして接触する、
エアバッグ。 - 請求項1または2に記載のエアバッグであって、
展開時において、前記非膨張エリアには、その周辺の前記チャンバが膨張することで、周辺に向けて広がる方向の張力が印加される、
エアバッグ。 - 請求項1~3のいずれか1つに記載のエアバッグであって、
前記第1部分は、展開時において、一端が前記先端部となるU字状であり、前記第2部分は、前記第1部分のU字の開口を閉じるように位置し、両者に囲まれた内部が前記非膨張エリアとなっている、
エアバッグ。 - 請求項1~4のいずれか1つに記載のエアバッグであって、
車室内側部に配置され、車両前後方向に展開するカーテンシールドエアバッグである、
