Description
さらに、ディジタルテレビジョン受信機と通信される資源は、潜在的に仮想チャネル22、基礎ストリーム23、イベント及び/または個人的なデータ項目24を含む。
<transport_id>.<source_id>.<event_id>
WXAB視聴領域の受信機はアクセスした転送ストリームを周期的に走査する。地方局WXABに対する変換記録に出会ったとき、「R:xyz.com_T1」及び「R:wxab.com_T1」の「R」記録をキャッシュする。また、もしメモリがこのような記録の収容に充分であれば、低位の記録(「A」記録)もキャッシュする。受信機は「dtv://four−oclock.news.general.xyz.com/」のようなURLを配置する必要がある時、URLに対する変換記録を転送ストリームT1にあるキャッシュされた「R」記録から決定することができる。したがって、受信機はもし予め同調されていなかったなら、転送ストリームT1に同調され、地方局WXABから提供された放送に現れたときイベントの直接アドレスを決定するのに必要な変換記録を見つける。「R」記録の「R:news.general.xyz.com_Tl.S3」は転送ストリーム内に発見される。そうすると、管理者は変換記録の「A:four−oclock.news.general.xyz.com_Tl.S3.E1」を発見するために、論理的なチャネルT1.S3を調べる。ここで、E1は4時ニュースのイベント識別名である。
論理名階層構造のレベルと直接アドレス技法におけるレベルとは1対1の対応関係にある。しかし、前記例によって明らかに説明されたように、論理的な階層構造の単一レベルは、直接アドレス技法で多重レベルに対応されることがあり、また論理的な階層構造における多重レベルが直接アドレス技法の単一レベルに対応することもある。このような柔軟性は、論理的に同一の名前が、DVB(ディジタルビデオ放送)対ATSC(Advanced Television System Committee)放送のような、異なった直接アドレスの全てが同じ数のレベルを持たない時、他の場所にある他の受信機によって異なった直接アドレスに解読されることを許容する。
いくつかのシンタクティック装置を変換記録を放送及び格納するために要求されるバイトの数を減らすために用いることができる。多くの場合において、同一の論理名と同一の関連目標アドレスを有する「A」記録及び「R」記録がある。単一記録が、記録に対する「B」のようなある指定で「A」記録及び「R」記録をともに指示するために伝送され格納される。

- 参照資源が放送環境内に配置されることを可能にする方法であって、
変換情報を受信機のメモリに格納するステップと、
前記参照資源に対応する前記受信機のメモリに格納された変換情報を参照することによって、前記参照資源に関する追加変換情報の少なくとも1つの位置を放送ストリーム上で識別するステップと
を含み、
前記変換情報を前記受信機のメモリに格納するステップは、前記受信機に通信された全ての変換情報より少ないことを特徴とする方法。
