Abstract

530,064. Chain belts. REIMERS, W. June 15, 1939, No. 17479. Convention date, July 30, 1938. [Class 80 (i)] [Also in Group XXV] A chain belt for use with cone discs 11 which can be moved with respect to one another comprises links 2 fixed to pins 1 and links 3 fitted with hardened bushes 4 engaging the pins, the links being apertured to receive pairs of rollers 6 engaging the cones, and the ratio between the numbers of the two kinds of links being such that the cross-sectional area of a set of either kind through pins is approximately the same. The apertures for the rollers are widened at the ends and the transverse distance between the ends of the apertures and the outer edge of a link is greater on the inside of the belt. The plane EE containing an adjacent pair of pins intersects the places of contact 12 of the rollers and the cones. Specification 380,047 is referred to.
