467,138. Roller-mills. MIAG MUHLENBAU UND INDUSTRIE AKT.-GES. Aug. 20, 1936, No. 22894. Convention date, April 11. [Class 59] A reversing-gear is arranged between the driving shaft and the driving-belt pulleys for the grinding rollers so that for both rollers an open belt may be employed and the rollers are driven in opposite directions. Belt pulleys 5, 8 are keyed on the same shaft as the drive pulley 13 and pulleys 6, 7, rotate on the shaft in the reverse direction thereto by reversing-gears 9, 10 or a single reversing-gear may rotate both. The pulleys 5, 6 respectively rotate the pulleys 1, 2 of one pair of rollers while the pulleys 7, 8 rotate pulleys 3, 4 of the other pair of rollers. The reversing-gears are fixed to the side of the mill framing and each may be moved to tighten the belt.
