Abstract
493,601. Roller - way conveyers. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.-GES., F. March 25, 1938, Nos. 9216 and 9217. Convention dates, May 27, 1937 and Sept. 24, 1937. [Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] In driving each roller 1 of a roller feed table by an electric motor the stationary axle 3 of the roller has an extension 6 to carry the motor housing 7, an eye 8 of the housing being secured thereon by a nut 9. The housing presses a packing-ring 15 against the bearing block 5. A gear wheel 13 on the motor spindle drives a toothed ring 11 on the roller. In a modification the shaft extension 6 may have a shoulder for the inner end of the eye 8 of the housing to abut against, or both may be tapered, so that precision finishing of the inner end is unnecessary.
