434,924. Sliding - bolt fastenings. HARRISON (BIRMINGHAM), Ltd., and BURGESS, E. C.,Highgate Street, Birmingham. March 11, 1935, No. 7479. [Class 44] In a fastening of the kind comprising a bolt 7 sliding in a fixed housing 6 with a friction spring arranged between them, the ends 22 of the spring 9 are mounted in recesses &c. 21 in the housing or bolt so that the spring is capable of movement relative to the member on which it is mounted, the spring being bowed or shaped to engage resiliently with the member between which and the spring relative movement occurs. The knob of the bolt has a threaded shank 12 engaging a threaded flared aperture in the bolt and formed with a head 15 sliding on a limiting slot 14 in the housing 6. The bolt may be completely withdrawn from the housing by turning the knob until the head 15 enters the flared recess in the bolt, and then sliding the bolt.
