Abstract

424,012. Folding seats. AUSTIN, SiR H., Lickey Grange, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. Sept. 4, 1933, No. 24457. [Class 52 (ii)] In a folding seat for vehicles of the kind in which the seat A is supported at the rear by a leg or legs C pivoted thereto, and coupled to the pivoted back B, so that when the latter is folded forward the rear legs are caused to fold forward under the seat, a downward extension b2 of the back - rest support below its pivoted connection with the seat frame is coupled by a forwardly extending link D to an upward extension of the rear leg C. The front support F may consist of a single leg, or of two legs, rigidly connected to the seat frame, and pivoted to the floor of the vehicle.
