Abstract

345,908. Folding seats. SLEIGH, H. L. and CHESTON, A. S., Widney Works, Bagot Street, Birmingham. July 17, 1930, No. 21617. [Class 52 (ii).] In a seat having forwardly folding front and rear legs 4, 5, the back-rest 9 is carried by pairs of links 10, 11 at each side which are pivoted to the rear leg. The links abut when in the fully extended position and a third link 19 at each side connects one of the side links with one of the other frame members to hold the extended framing rigid until the back-rest has been folded down.
