Abstract

386,948. Regulating. FIAT SOC. ANON., 250, Via Nizza, Turin, Italy. April 20, 1931, No. 11643. Convention date, April 18, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 7 (vi).] A conjoint control of throttle valve and ignition timing, particularly for aircraft engines, comprises an operating- handle 4 connected to a spindle 2, which operates the throttle and carries a plate 5 provided with a pin 6 engaging a notch 10 in another plate 8, which is pivoted at 7 and connected at 9 to the ignition control. The latter is actuated through a complete movement during the initial movement of the throttle control, the pin 6 then escaping from the notch 10 so that the handle 4 may be further actuated to increase the throttle opening. The plate 8 is held against further movement by engagement of a curved part 11 with the edge of the disc 3 of the handle 4.
